Hi Ladies,
Yesterday when I went for my 2 booster radiotherapy, they called me into a little room to say that they were very sorry but the day before when they gave me my boost they had placed the template the wrong way round so they zapped the wrong area!! Has anyone experienced this or was I just unlucky?

Unlucky? This is negligence. They should have processes in place to ensure that NEVER happens. Get it confirmed in writing and keep it because the RT damage goes on way after the day it is administered. Get a complaint in to PALS so that it can be investigated and ensure it doesn’t happen to someone else.

It was at the Marsden! But they have confirmed that since this error they have now implemented a new template so it won’t happen again.
