I’ve been experiencing a constant headache for about the past five days and I’ve read that headaches can be a side effect of xeloda. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and if so what is it like. The info I have on xeloda says that headaches are a less common side effect but it’s nothing to worry about. It feels like there is a tight band all round the side of my head with pain worse on either side just above the ear and at the front behind the eyes. I’m taking paracetamol, ibuprofen, tramadol and oramorph regularly but still find there are periods inbetween taking tablets where the headaches are quite bad.

I’m on my fifth cycle of Xeloda, and can’t say that I have experienced headaches myself, but send my sympathy. There is a thread here called "Xeloda and the “week off”!’ which it may be worth you posting on. Lots of us on Xeloda regularly post there, and there is a wealth of knowledge and experience from people who have been taking the drug from a few days to many years.

hi , i did get headaches on xeloda ,try to stay hydrated and mention them to your med team, dizziness is also a se hope it eases soon hugs xxx i also used a forehead stick x
