Younger Women Together in Liverpool

Hi im coming from porthmadog…are you getting the train?x

I’m going to drive to hooton and get the train into Liverpool

Hi Everyone. I’m Nadine from Manchester. I’m 45, I have two children age 8 and 5. I’ve had all my treatment, 12 chemos, surgery and 15 rads. Recovering and readjusting, and dealing with the long term side effects. Planning to go back to work in February. Also nervous about attending, but looking forward to meet others as there’s no support groups locally.

Hi everyone, my name is Katie and I’m 31 and live in Liverpool. I have a daughter who is 2 at the end of this month. I was diagnosed last April and have since had a lumpectomy with double breast reduction and lift (got to see this as the only positive of cancer) followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy that ended on the 4th of jan. I’m now getting my head around the lovely side effects of zoladex and letrozole. Like lots of you have said I’m a little nervous about attending next weekend but my new year resolution was to try new things and to also do more things for myself.
Also not having to have a 6am wake up call from a child wanting to watch Peter rabbit will be quite nice.

I’m getting the train from bangor…hope to see you there x

Hi katie
I’m really interested in the type of surgery you had. Did you have it Liverpool? Would you mind if I ask some questions next week?
Thanks, cara.

Hi Cara! Yeah I don’t mind at all giving you as much detail as I can remember. I’m very positive about the surgery that I had. I had always wanted a reduction as had very large breasts and it also meant that my margins were very much clear. I can also wear summer dresses without a bra now (small silver lining from a really rubbish situation).

Hi Keem , my names Claire and just to say that me and my friend Becky are traveling together from Huddersfield, we are booked in on the 7:50 train to Liverpool and meeting outside on the steps of the train station at 7:30 your more than welcome to join us xx

Hi Katie
Thanks for getting back. I’m all for ditching the bra! If it’s one good thing to get from this, it would be a nice set of boobs! ?
Looking forward to meeting you and everyone else next week xxx

Hi Claire. That’s great. I’ve just booked onto the same train. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll get to the station for 7.30am. Cheers. Keem
