Younger Women's forum in Bournemouth

Hi everyone

I have been asked to pass on this invitation to you:

Best wishes

Ann

'I know from looking at the discussion forums how much some of you value the opportunity to contact and share experiences with others in the same situation. As a younger woman myself when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at aged 40, I understand that this can be an isolating and challenging experience. I am now an Assistant Director of Services for Breast Cancer Care and would like to invite you to our next Younger Womens Forum in Bournemouth. This two day residential will be held on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th July in a 4 star hotel in Bournemouth. It is aimed at people with breast cancer aged 45 and under. It’s a chance to meet others of a similar age and share experiences in a relaxed environment and meet your local Breast Cancer Care team. There will be a range of guest speakers on pertinent topics such as treatments, fertility, lymphoedema, diet and exercise as well as pampering and well-being sessions and discussion groups. It’s also a chance to relax, socialise and get some sea and sun (hopefully)! Please rest assured you will receive a warm welcome and support from our team to ensure you feel comfortable and relaxed.

All costs of accommodation and meals are met by Breast Cancer Care. This event is open to anyone with breast cancer aged 45 or under living in the UK. If you need advice on travel routes, please contact us. For further information and to register, please contact Sam or Elaine on 0845 077 1894. If you want to chat to me about the event, I can be contacted on the same number. We look forward to meeting some of you at the event and hope to hear from you soon.

Best wishes. Karen Robinson. Assistant Director of Services (Wales, SW and CE)’

Does this include people with secondaries?

thank you

I don’t see why not, fayjay, I am sure dippykate (from the gobbygang thread) met the rest of the gobbygang at a younger women weekend.

It’s a shame that BCC haven’t answered your question!!!

Hi fayjay

You are welcome to contact Sam or Elaine on 0845 077 1894 who are co-ordinating this particular YWF, they will be happy to help you with any queries.

Best wishes
Lucy

Surely this is a question that could be answered on the forum - it would provide useful information for others.
