Hi, I’m new on here. I was diagnosed back in June and have been on Zoladex & Letrozole since. I’m 30. Just out of interest is anyone else pre-menopausal & on this combination?

That’ll be me!
Been on Letrozole since local recurrence in May.
Zoladex added in Sept due to skin mets.
I’m 45, had hysterectomy when I was 36 but retained ovaries and they’re still chugging out the oestragen!!

Hi Hannah
My daughter aged 33 was dx in May with IBC and had 8 chemos then mastectomy and recon and lymph nodes removed 2 weeks ago. She has been on Zoladex since May and has been told that she will start on Letrozole in a couple of weeks. We will know more on Wes night when we get all the results. Do you get side effects with Letrozole?

Hi Sue,
I too had IBC!
My joints are very stiff and achy from the letrozole. Not too bad to begin with but gradually got worse especially first thing in the morning.
I am now taking glucosamine, recommended by someone at the the Marsden, and things are improving.

Hiya,
can someone please tell me what Letrozole is as I’m not familiar with it. I am on Tamoxifen and will only be getting Zoladex if my periods don’t stop apparently,
Ta,
Kelly
