Hi everyone,
I have increasing joint and bone pain and would really welcome any advice. I’m on exemestane and then started on the Zolidex injections. The pain is becoming worse in my hands, feet, ankles, hips knees and even toes. I’m like an old lady and it’s really getting me down. I felt I was getting my energy back after chemo and rads and now feel tired with it all. Trouble is I don’t know which drug is causing it. Does anyone have any experience of either drug and these symptoms. I don’t know if I should go to the GP or just take the pain killers and put up with it. I’m seeing my oncologist next month. I don’t want to be like this for years, I want to start running again!
any advice please??!!
thank you ladies,
Helen x
Hi, I had 3 courses of Zoladex 12 years ago for endometriosis and well remember the joint pain. But I have no experience of your other medication. The things that helped me on Zoladex were huge amounts of water, Vit C and Omega 3 but I had to jiggle the dose with Omega 3 as too much gave me a headache. I got very headachy on Zoladex too and honestly, walking the dog in the fresh air was as good a remedy as anything. Good luck, try to really listen to your body in peace and quiet several times a week, it will probably tell you what else you can do to help.
Thanks for the message Catherine. I’ll definitely tafe your advice in the vit c and omega 3. I just worry about what the drugs are doing to the inside of my body! Listening to your body us good advice bur I get so little time as I work full time and have two children. I do love my walks in the park with my dog though. Exercise and fresh air is great. X
