Hi I am nearly 54 years old and my breasts feel larger lumpy and very tender. I was told I would get an appointment within 2 weeks. Now having called the breast clinic I have been told I could have a 6 to 7 week waiting time. Is this normal. Am feeling very anxious
Your doctors should get you in same day or day after for concerns with breasts, phone back and speak to the practice manager about this and clearly explain to them, they are fully aware of policy regarding breast concerns, once doctor has checked you over they will decide if you need referring to hospital for further checks. Don’t get fobbed off, your doctors have a duty of care to you. Hope this helps ??
