Mammogram at 25???

Hi everyone! I need advice and I need it fast. I’m 25 and I had a tumor on the left breast a few years back. It was the size of a baseball. It was taken out and it was benign. I recently just moved places and now, in this new place, I just don’t feel very comfortable because I am not seen by a specialist and to top that off, they are recommending me for a mammogram instead of just an ultrasound. Am I not too young for that? My friend who is also a nurse and in the almost the same situation with her breasts even said I should only get ultrasounds as well. She gets ultrasounds every six months.

Side note: six months after surgery, they did find a small tumor/cyst on the right breast. It was so tiny, we all agreed not to mess with it but just check it regularly.

Hi Cheesecake. I was 26 when I was diagnosed with my primary breast cancer. I had a mammogram as part of the diagnostic tests at the time and then had annual follow up mammograms on my remaining breast right through my 20s  (I had a right mastectomy on diagnosis). I had mammograms up until 2012 when I had a prophylactic mastectomy on my remaining left breast x
