Hi. History of left sided breast pain for about 4 weeks. Feels like a dragging sensation. When my nipple is constricted it looks a puckered. Did the sensible thing saw Gp after 2 weeks. Fast tracked to local breast unit. Got there told I needed d a mammogram and ultrasound. Doctor drew on my breast for scan purposes. Mammogram done and then waited for scan. Called again 2 hours later for what I thought was a scan to be ushered into doctor who said when i questioned her about the scan not being done said it wasnt necessary as mammogram clear. Told to have routine screening in 3 years. Felt a bit concerned about not having had a scan. Any thoughts welcome x
My cancer didn’t show on a scan but did on a mammogram. Would you have been worried about not having a scan if they’d only mentioned a mammogram initially?
Personally I’d keep an eye for a week or two and if there’s no improvement ask my GP to rerefer me and ask for a biopsy.
