I haven’t had the surgery, becuz id rather not, if it’s not necessary.
I had genetic testing done (negative for 84 mutations of cancer, 1 variant is “uncertain” and waiting for approval for a MRI.
i am sure you will get thru it like a champ. Keep positive.
I saw @Ladybugtx had it done, and it sounded like she got thru it.
Deep inhale and exhales.
I’ll be thinking of you.
I have an excision biopsy to remove radial scar this week and I was wondering how your treatment went.
Feeling very anxious at the moment.
Great news, I was wondering what the size of your RS was? I have been blessed with a RS and they want to remove it. I have had a 2nd opinion + 2nd opinion pathologist— as there is a discrepancy on the size. It’s very frustrating.
I mentioned biopsy and they prefer to have surgery, which I keep reading / researching it’s is their “go to” / customary.
How does the vacuum biopsy work, do they only take a portion out of RS?
with love & gratitude,
I am doing well. I had my radial scar surgically removed. They removed everything and reports were good. I'm now back to annually mammograms. The vacuum biopsy which I had as well only removes a little to see if cancer is present. Hope this helps.
I’ve just been diagnosed with a radial scar, I’m just wondering how you got on? Did you have surgical removal or vacuum biopsy removal? The latter is what they’ve suggested but I’m not confident they will get it all after what I’ve read. Hope you’re ok.

A radical scar was discovered during my mammogram earlier this year and after a core needle biopsy and a several diagnostic mammograms this year, I have decided to have an excision of the RS next month. I'm wondering what the recovery experience has been for others? How soon could you resume normal activities and exercise? I do strength training every week and wondering, how many weeks will I need to postpone. I understand this is a day procedure and time away from work is minimal. I take the bus to work so, will it be necessary to lighten my back pack for a few weeks? What else can I expect?
