Anyone been diagnosed/found a lump while breastfeeding?

Hi everyone,

I am currently breastfeeding my newborn baby and 2 weeks ago I found a hard lump in my left breast about the size of a pea. It doesn’t move and it is not painful. I have no other changes in my breasts other than the usual breastfeeding changes. At first I thought it might be a blocked duct but baby is feeding fine on that side, there’s been no pain/ redness/ hotness and I assume after two weeks if that was the case it either would have got infected/painful, or gone away. I saw my GP a couple of days after I discovered it and she felt it and referred me to the hospital for a phone appointment. She didn’t offer any idea of what else it could be but said she’s ‘not worried’ as I’m only 25 and no family history. Although when I said I thought if it was a blocked duct it would have been painful she said ‘yes’. Didn’t offer much support tbh. So this morning I had the phone ‘appointment’. It turned out to literally be a woman calling me saying ‘we’re gonna make you and in person appointment for next week, you’ll get a letter. Thanks, bye!’ I’m glad I’ll be seen in person but I find it really frustrating that the gp couldn’t have just booked the in person hospital appointment over a week ago when I saw her, seems like an unnecessary delay to see the specialist and I’m worried! Sorry for the long post, not sure what the point of it is. Guess I’m just venting and looking for similar experiences. Thanks!
