Doctor fobbing me off

Hi, I had an ‘all clear’ in May and told nothing of concern following mammogram/ultrasound etc after I found lump and dimpled skin. Lump is growing and I spoke with doctors re a second opinion to be told ‘sometimes breasts are just lumpy’. Can I go to another doctor and ask for an opinion? I don’t really know what to do now …… Thanks

you could go to another doctor within the practice and discuss your concerns , you can ask to be referred for a second opinion from a doctor within the breast screening service. Sometimes unfortunately. you need to be quite assertive to get the support you need .Most lumps are not cancer but that doesn’t stop you worrying when you are not confident in the outcome from your investigations . Did they not give you any explanation for your lump ? Could they not feel your lump ?
