Hiyer,
Here's hoping indeed for good news ! However, you know what, even if its 'bad news', the medical team will deal with it. The three of us CC people replying on this thread, all had breast cancer a few years ago. (not smiley happy because we did, but smiley happy because quick effective treatments were given to us) You are doing exactly the right thing in reporting breast changes as soon as you are aware of them and this gives the best possible outcome for any treatment plan. Many here have had symptoms like you, some have had benign reasons for it, and some have had bc. Its really difficult looking at 'symptoms' as to be honest even up to the point of biopsy the expert surgeons can't be sure what they are dealing with. Its going to be a tough wait for the clinic appointment, stay strong and hang here where we will try and help. I do hope, as most do, you find out this is a benign reason for the change, do let us know how you are getting on. x

Hello and welcome to the forum, although not somewhere you would really want to be.
Until you have had your appointment at the breast clinic, as much as your lovely doctor has referred you to check this out, they are the ones who are the experts. Hopefully with her making a referral you should be seen within 14 days from the breast clinic receiving the referral.
You may well have a mammogram and an ultrasound at the appointment, it is possible that they might want to take biospies as if they are not sure then this is the best way for them to know what, if anything, is going on. IF they do biopsies then it will probably take a couple of weeks for the results to come back. If it is a cyst they will probably drain it on the day. Basically what I am trying to say is there are a lot of benign breast conditions it can be and does not necessarily mean that it is breast cancer.
Please try as much as possible to not overthink things and certainly we recommend on here that you do not google generally as it will only scare the living daylights out of you as there is a lot of out of date misinformation out there.
Sending you hugs
