Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi ladies hope all your blood levels perk up so we all finish this ASAP. Booksandwine re the wig is great fun. I put mine on then got very hot and itchy. I put it on my lap till my hubby pointed out that it looked like v long pubic hair.Obviously there is wig etiquette that we all need to learn.

Walked around local town in scarve really no one batted an eye and it's a really leary scarve !! Think need to practice with wig any tips gratefully received because at mo looks like I have nits !

Glad you are picking up kirstie77. Hope you manage to get out this wkend but maybe a walk to the pub should be avoided!
I agree with louise3721 - the head shaving really isn't as bad as you think its going to be. I was so busy chatting & giggling that I didn't even know she'd done it!
That is hilarious books and wine!! Something you will laugh about for years to come! Hope your bloods pick up,like you say the delay would not be welcome.
My positive is tomorrow night I'll be ready in no time - just chuck wig on & av a good old giggle - they say laughter is the best medicine don't they?! Xxx

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Rosie ah that's terrible way to be treated ouch.

Me .......... Low platlets so another blood test Tuesday and need to be at 100 for chemo or I will be pushed back a week. While a weeks grace sounds good it would only be added on at end. I'm at 68 so hopefully it improves.

Joy not ! Feel tired at the time now debating when I switch to tax not working at all rather than 1 week in 3

Off to book a facial as treat.

Sorry for moan. But to balance as a funny as I'm taking my top off for exam this morning forgot to hold down wig it flew off landed on oncologist very funny

Auw Rosie 14 not a good start to round 4. How horrid - if you had a needle phobia that nurse would defo do it for you wouldn't she?! Not surprised you're glad to be home - sounds like a very restless night! Yep you're right - got to eat what you fancy - I'm usually like that - crave crisps & snacky things in the day & then like something really healthy & fresh in the eves for the first few days. Hope you can get a nice rest this afternoon & the next few days aren't too bad for you, just do what you say to everyone else - keep thinking of day 6/7!:) xxx

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi Jackie09,
Sorry I missed your birthday I hope you managed to do something nice and I hope that you are feeling better, this is an emotional roller coaster and sometimes it takes you by surprise, it will pass xxx

Hi Rachel welcome to the forum, my hair went matted, I described it to my friend as a matted cat on my head, she I'd managed to brush it out and the hair came out so much, I did shave it in the end that day. Personally the thought of losing my hair was worse than the end result, i found it too hard o deal with the constant loss x

LEGGATE - The leg appears to be healing though there is a gap in the stiches and the stitches are shocking a real bodge, its going to look awful, my mastectomy scars are far neater, but hopefully it won't stop round 3 next week. Still I can get around on it now, just not too far ! I have not left the house since lol

I love the what the FEC club, thats brilliant really made me laugh.

Positives for me are, no longer care about hair and I'm rocking the shaved head look, I have also subscribed to netflicks and I'm watching back to back breaking bad which I wanted to do some time ago :0)

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi everyone I was just typing a long text and it disappeared!

I am back home after round 4! It was all rather stressful as the oncologist had failed to tell us to go on Wednesday this week as he was leaving for UK in the afternoon untilnext week! Fortunately he had left the prescription for me. The blood nurse was a different one and she couldn't get the canular in my vein she said why not and pulled it out and the needle was bent! I then had to endure her going into another vein!!! If I see her again I shall run a mile.

Sent the hospital meals away the thought of them maked nme feel unwell. Took a sandwich and yogurt and melon for lunch and later had the cake that came round with the tea and then sent hubbie to shop for a bag of crisps! Oh dear not very healthy but sometimes you need to eat what you fancy. I have just eaten a bowl of past and made hubbie stop and by some fish for tonight! Glad to hear everyone is coping with hairloss I have got quite used to my headscarves now. Positve for the day is is saves on shampoo and conditoner!!

Enjoy your good days, I am expecting to wilt later this afternoon. Oh I nearly forgot to tell you. Things hadn't been going to well bowel wise toward the end of the second week so I stuffed 2 apricots and 2 prunes in my mouth before I went to the hospital. I don't know which felt the most uncomfortable not being able to go or a churning stomach? x

Wild purl and eam28 glad your wigs are sorted,I have been wearing mine now fir 2 1/2 weeks and it's amazing how quickly you get used to it.
Hope Jackie you had a good birthday and Kirstie hope your leg is healing ok?
And everyone else too hope everyone is ok , I like your idea of a positive post Louise for each moan!. My one is I still have eyebrows and lashes( but a bald head!) x

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi wildpurl, glad you like your wig & your hair is looking pretty nice still. Hope work goes well for you today. I am day 15 of 2nd FEC also & hair was coming out as of yesterday (same point as last time). I feel totally normal now too. Think I will have to have a little play with my wig. Its a bit darker than my brunette col & got a fringe which I'm not used to but most people like it. But I like the length & people have said it looks natural. The other one I tried was curly & a copper color so really didn't suit me! The other one hadn't come yet & that was also curly so just went for it with this one as have already been waiting 5 weeks! Will only wear it for nights out anyway I think.
Hope you are doing well rosie14? Thinking of you xxx

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Happy birthday Jackie!
Louise, your post about What the FEC made me laugh, we need to be able to laugh at our situations as well as cry I think. My chemo is also precautionary and I had a similar surgery to you although I had a reconstruction after the mastectomy.

Yesterday I went to see my wig lady and have a nice wig to wear when I am working in the office, I could not face going in with my thin hair and having lots of questions, and I also feel it makes me look illand frail, which is not ideal as a manager as people need to believe I am strong and competent. I'm really happy with the wig, and she also trimmed my real hair, just to tidy it up and make it look less wispy and random and it actually looks much better, I am quite OK with it now everywhere except for work. At the moment I am not losing hair so I am waiting to see what will happen this weekend, which was the time it all started falling in the last cycle. If I still have this much hair next week I will cold cap again.

At the moment I am feeling pretty normal (day 14 of FEC 2) and sleeping well. I've even had a glass of wine with dinner a couple of times. I am working at home at the moment and will have my first day back in the office tomorrow.

Thank you love wine, yeah my district nurse comes every week & says it looks really stylish & better than real hair! I was speaking to a lady yesterday who has really short hair anyway by choice & said she would wear them herself!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi rachel01,
Im sure this forum will help you out. We are all different when it comes to losing our hair. For me they told me when I was DX end of Jan that I would defo lose my hair & kept reminding me so by the time I started chemo 2months later I had got my head around it & had already decided that when it started coming out I would take control & shave it rather than leave it. It really wasn't that bad - I had it done in a private room at my hairdressers & my best friend held my hand. We to had a giggle like suzie68. I know we all see\think differently but I just kept reminding myself that its not forever & kind of the least of my worries with what's going on. I donated my hair to the little princess trust (wigs for children). I never just wear scarves on their own - I wear either a black or navey plain cotton hat, then tie a little scarf\ wired hair tie scarf (that's in fashion at the moment) or a little flower from Claire's accessories - whatever matches my outfit at the time. Have you heard of the 'look good, feel better' courses? There are lots of ladies on here that will tell you how helpful they are! I'm going to one on Tue. I am also her2+ so will be on herceptin also, there is another thread on this forum about that. Glad your first chemo went well. Good luck for round 2 sat:) xxx

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Bless you jackie09,like rosie14 says she will be back before you know it! I don't like being fussed over like Louise but its nice to have their company isn't it. I think all of this makes us more emotional out of the blue generally even if nothing really triggers it so the fact that your mum has just left is prob the icing on the cake. Hopefully you will feel better when she gets home & you can give her a ring.
I kept my head covered the whole time at first too - was determined my hubby & daughter would not see my head at all! But my daughter walked in the bathroom one morning & didn't bat an eyelid & my husband see's me now & points out my new patches! I had really long, thick hair before but its surprising how you do just get used to it. Happy birthday for tomorrow - I hope you get spoilt - you deserve it x
My positive is that I'm getting my wig tomorrow ready for my girlie Chinese & night out sat night - so if I don't like it we will be staying in & playing twister!:) xxx

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi ladies sorry to read done if you have been having a tough time I really hope things get better. I feel a bit oif a fraud as apart from z nausea a couple if days after chemo and constipation I am doing fine still and have continued to work full time throughout and have fec 3 next Wednesday. I am really tired and keep waking with hot flushes every couple of hours but manage to go back to sleep straight away afterwards. Rachel sorry you find yourself here, I started losing hair on fec 2 day 14 and it had all fine by day 20, I have a £300 wig I can't be bothered to wear and wear scarves for work, I walk around the house bald in front of family and friends including friends of my children, I cant be arsed quite honestly and would happily go to work like this but the some of the 500 odd people in my building are struggling to make eye contact with the scarf as I hadn't made my diagnosis public knowledge firvgheclatt 4 months but now there's no getting away from it. I completely understand your feelings and you have to do whatever works for you and your family, I've found that with mine thst me not making a big deal of it has not made it one and yes there was wine involved in my shaving and we tried to turn it into a bit of fun with giving me bowl cuts and Mohawks before the final shave. Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi Jackie09 sorry to hear you are so sad.  I have the opposite problem, I live 30 doors away from my 86 year old mother and I have to keep her at bay with a cattle prod!  I am not good with the (s)mothering but I know what its like to be far away from family when you need them.  My husband is a cockney and we lived in Peckham ( its like Beirut but with a cockney accent or our huge council tower blocks were) This is not the lovely Old London Town of Hugh Grant portrayal.  Anyway I had our son and he was a MONSTER he never slept and continually cried.  In the end the Drs wanted to sedate him because he only slept 4 HOURS A DAY!!! I am from lovely Notts/Derbys borders with the Peak District 40 minutes away. Culture Shock or what?  The day my Mum left me alone with my monster baby to come back North I cried for days.

Now I cry because my monster baby does not see daylight, he is welded to his bed apart from when he is working! But it all passes and nothing is forever. Positive you have birthday tomorrow and must be treated like the balding princess you are! Then when you see you see Mum again you will be extactic and you have over come your injection phobia - triple whammy !

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Good evening ladies,

I hope today has been a good day for us all :). I'm sorry to come in here and moan but I'm feeling very sad. My mum travels to come and look after me for the first week after treatment and she has just left to go home and I can't stop crying. I wish she she could stay all of the time but that is selfish of me and I know that physically she couldn't do it anyway - but no matter how old I seem to get, when times are tough only my mam will do! I moved away to get married, so all if my family are so far away - I really miss their support. I also had my head shaved on Monday and I haven't been able to look at myself since then - I've just kept it covered.
I know there are positives - I was dreading the booster injections and they haven't turned out bad - and thank you ladies who posted to reassure me.
And to top it all off it's my birthday tomorrow which is bringing its own bad of mixed feelings!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi ladies

Just a thought, how about we make a deal for every upsetting, totallying sh*tty thing that we post about our situation you have to post one good thing?  It really does not have to be anything major just one good thing like " finally no need to remove hair from shower trap" or "husband/partner significant other or friend cooked sandwiches for tea" ( this is my husband's speciality) or " read fab book" Just because we need that light at the end of the tunnel and I know that I am new to this and I am only at the start but we need to believe there is an end and it's the happy ending that we all crave and deserve. Now, what shall we insomniacs talk about?  Bloomin FEC I am turning into Pollyanna!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hello ladies,
Louise3721 you are hilarious & totally agree with lots of your posts! When I had my head shaved I just thought well its not forever & its not my right arm being chopped off! Hope it goes well for you Fri - I joked with my hairdresser & said don't go inscribing something rude on the back of my head will you?! So hope that doesn't happen to you! One of my chemo nurses is all prim & proper & she kept saying FEC all the time - I was trying not to grin & look immature!
Kirstie77 I hope you are back on top form! Don't blame you for having a blip! What with how things have gone for you! Like smokeclouds said - we were like this a few wks ago & all the ladies in the support group I went to said they got 'chemo blues' on 2nd & 4\5th cycle so totally normal on top of your injury etc!
I am also changing to tax for 4th cycle. One lady has said the same as just read on here - you don't get the nausea but feel like you've got the flu & it doesn't kick in straight away. Also get pins & needles in fingers so hard to do things up,& will prob loose eyelashes & brows.
Sorry to hear you have a uti loulou1262. Not nice on top of everything but at least you know what it is now. I hope you get the support you need to keep you going & feel more positive.
Its funny how the ones on metroclopramide has also found it awful! I am on emend & ondamestron also so hopefully cut the nasty one out for next time!
Good luck for tomorrow rosie14, will be thinking of you. Sorry I meant to come on here & tell you about the her2+ thread when I found it a few days ago!
I am booked on a lgfb course next Tue so looking forward to that:). Talking of nice things to plan ahead for - there is a website called willowtree foundation? Does little trips for ladies in our situation apparently xxx

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi Rachel01

Welcome to the "What the FEC" club!  Honestly hon dont worry about your hair and baldness really it's inevitable so we cant waste time/energy on it.  However, I have never been blessed with beautiful flowing locks so for me this may be a blessing as they say your hair comes back possibly different colour, thicker and with chemo curl can't bloomin wait! Cancer is a little extreme to get the hair I have always wanted but it is a big plus in a situation that is a bit short on laughs.

I am only having FEC as a precaution as the grade/size of cancer they found was contained in the breast with no nodes involved.  I had a masectomy and that went well and my husband and I find it hysterical that when I stand side ways facing a mirror its like a vanishing act! Now you see "tit" now you dont!

Hubby works away and I am left to the tender mercies of 2 x teenage children.  I have told them this is a practice for old age ( I am 49) and if they fail its goodbye inheritance! They are very good but obviously anxious my son calls me the "one tit wonder" which kind of sums it up.

I am enjoying time at home and a computer was put in today for me by work and linked up to them.  Prior to this little "FEC" up I could run a home and a job and basically be wonder woman!  Today I feel like the 100 year old woman, the hair is falling out and I did some work today  - about 2 hours - and felt like I had run a marathon.  I used to type quotes at 50 words a minute it took me an hour to do 300 words, I kept going over and over it and losing my thread.  Honestly it was pathetic! BUT we are all here to tell our stories and maybe as little as only 10 years ago our prognosis was not as good So chin up get your scarve on and let's have as many good days as we can possibly can.  My scarves make me look like a pirate and even with all this going on I would still give Johnny Depp house room!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi Rachel 01, me too! I also have grade 3 invasive ducat land Her2 positive! , I just waited until most of hair fell out as couldn't face shaving it either, I then cut remaining wispy bits off with scissors! I haven't shown anyone my bald head except my husband, but also sleep in sleep caps( hats for heads on line) have great pretty Paisley print ones!! Also like you having chemo before surgery.

And same as lots of other ladies on this thread I too have 3rd fec next week, followed by change to tax which I am also dreading, some ladies have said fec is much worse for nausea and in general, but I suppose we will all find out soon!
Hope everyone is ok today and Kirstie hope your leg isn't too sore today and you are a little better .

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi Rachel welcome I have stage 3 invasive ductal and am Her 2 positive so we are on a similar journey. My children are grown up and live in the UK and France ad when I talk to them on Skype I always have a head covering on. I also go to bed in a bandana as I can't bear the mess on my pillow. My hair has been falling out for 3 weeks now and there is are still some wisps left. I hate washing my balding head.
I was very aware the first time I went out in a headscarf but nobody else was bothered it becomes part of your appearance. Good luck!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Yes, I am also having my third and last FEC next week and then will switch to TAX. My oncologist has talked to me a bit about possible side effects. I also saw that Stelwah in the March thread started with Tax and is about to switch to FEC, she describes her side effects and so does another lady in the same thread, they were not too bad. I guess ladies who started in February will have made the switch and probably also have some reports.
I too am apprehensive, but look at us, we were the same about a FEC six weeks ago and now some of us are about to finish that. We are getting through FEC and we will get through Tax as well.

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi there, I haven't posted on this thread before but I an due my second fec on Saturday. I haven't suffered anywhere near as badly as some of you ladies, but on Saturday my hair started falling out in handfuls. There were lots of tears. For a few days I have been to scared to brush it because I wanted to keep some for my sons birthday party. However was left with a mangled mess this morning and lost tonnes more. Can't do anything with what's left, but can't bring myself to shave it off......how do you ladies find the courage???? Is there wine involved ?? Also can't seem to feel comfortable in scarves, i feel as though i look stupid!
I too like the thought of matching caps, I can't bear the thought of my husband or kids seeing my bear head.... How do you manage????
I would also love to join the night thread as sleep is a distant memory since my initial referral.
I have stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma with lobular elements too. I also have positive lymph nodes. I am having 6 x Fec-d prior to surgery with Herceptin too.
sorry for ranting!!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi Joan47 I am loving the matching sleep caps ladies! I am finding the most comfortable way of covering my head, which I now hate the sight of, is by using a bandana. I have a wig and a hair piece, but I am finding my head gets very itchy so only keep these for evenings out! Hope you have a great time in London with your daughter! x

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Books and wine. I'm having my 3rd FEC next week and then switching to TAX so would be interested to know the questions you are putting together. I've had a quick look at info on this site and it does seem that the side effects are different-just as I'm getting to grips with these ones.

Love to join the insomnia club. I've not been a good sleeper for years but it got worse after diagnosis and then completely ridiculous after first chemo. I literally did not sleep at all the first night and only a little better the next. I went to the GP in desperation. He put me on Temazapam, which is essentially an anti anxiety drug didn't work and then, at the suggestion of the hospital, Zoplicone. First night on that I slept for 11 hours. You can't use it all the time which is a shame so I am trying to restrict it to the 3 nights after chemo and after that only when I've been awake for hours and nothing else, relaxation tape, music, reading etc, works.

I had to banish my husband to the spare room partly so that I didn't have to worry about keeping him awake but also for his own safety; lying awake while he was snoring put him at serious risk of strangulation.

Loulou, sorry to hear about your infection but at least calmed your fears. well done for taking the plunge. Like you I just couldn't stand the hair falling out all over the place, and felt better once I had taken control. I too have matching sleep caps and a husband who thinks I'm mad. I tend not to wear anything in the house or when friends come and am getting used to having only a fuzz on my head. It's completely white. Not sure if that is just my hair, which was more pepper and salt or my scalp which hasn't seen the light of day for over 60 years. Kirstie, glad you're feeling better.

Rosie, good luck with next round. I'm dreading next round too. Building in some treats beforehand including going up to London to stay with daughter and partner this weekend. She hasn't yet seen me without hair. Also visiting a friend I haven't seen for a couple of years en route. Not decided yet whether to go with the wig.

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi all. Sorry been a while. I am generally ok very tired now with cumulative chemo managing to work 1 week in 3.

Starting to read up / look ahead / plan and prep for tax I will have my third fec next week then 3 weeks after this I will be on tax

I am planning a list of questions for the oncologist as I am concerned over new side effects and also how the body reacts on changeover time

Have any of you either moved to tax or is anyone like be about to change over and has anyone been given specific advice etc. concerned over nails / pins and needles and weight gain. In general seems a tougher drug. Also if I can keep working.

Thanks and best to all

Hi Louise sorry that you had to go to hospital you must have had all sort going through your mind! Glad they have sorted you out!
It is sometimes difficult to know what is a side effect from chemo or injections or the cancer itself. I developed a pain in my back and right leg yesterday which I still have today. Not sure what its all about I finished the 5 injections on Saturday. I am at the hospital for round 4 tomorrow anyway- feeling sick at the thought of it! Good luck to anyone else that may be going for another round! x

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Loulou, you're right Emend is the brand name for aprepitant. I had terrible nausea and vomiting the first cycle. Then I was given Emend for cycle 2 and it definitely made a big difference. Have to admit I still felt nauseous but was only actually sick once and most of the time it was like when I had morning sickness, in that although I felt sick I was confident that I wouldn't actually be sick. Made a big difference to me, made me feel that the whole thing was doable.
Now feeling absolutely normal except for slightly sore soles of my feet. I wore my Birkenstock sandals the other day for the first time since the autumn. I think the skin has worn away and now my feet feel tender. At the moment that is my only gripe, so feeling quite blessed. Hope I'm not jinxing myself saying that!
Re the going to the loo. I'm the same. The first few days I go to the loo loads. I feel like a cow when it pees! It just seems to go on for ever.
I really admire you ladies who are working or looking after pre school children. My kids are 10 and 13, so fairly easy to manage. I just have to sort out some lifts for them for the first few days after the chemo.

Hi ladies, at least your mind not racing too much loulou1262 now you know the problem! And yes I was also told to stop " over thinking " by my chemo nurse- easier said than done!
Re: sick meds: I was told for 1st fec most people are started on a " base line" of drugs and then see how they are; then they change accordingly
My 1st chemo I had metaclopramide, ( which made me feel worse!) ondanestron and steroids and I was sick and felt very sick for about 5 days
I told oncologist and she immediately changed me to Emend , as well as the ondanestron and also cyclizine to be taken if needed- Emend made a huge difference- I wasn't sick at all and lot less nausea too, I found if I ate small sweets like wine gums it took it away! I went back to work part time 4 days after my 2nd session
I was told Emend is very expensive and not always available in all areas so I think you have to ask for it !
And yes Rosie I think a night thread would be quite busy as I think we are not alone in trips to loo and insomnia!!
Louise, I found most of my hair came out 17 days after 1st session so now have wig/ sleep caps etc, it is upsetting but once it has gone I think in a strange way you just get used to it, although I cannot keep it uncovered for too long!! And yes I am with you on matching sleep caps!!
And a bizarre question - when wearing your wigs ladies do you have them over your ears or behind them- I have quite a short bob wig and tried both- but not sure what's best- behind ears is more comfortable but doesn't feel as secure, over ears digs in more secure but uncomfortable!! What a dilemma and one I thought I would never be in ha ha! X

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Morning ladies

I had to go back to hospital yesterday when I told them I had been having a stitch like pain/niggle for the last week in the opposite side.  Very nervous but after various checks inc a water test it was confirmed I have a upper urinary tract infection..... back on anti b's but my runaway brain is relieved. I have been told to be more positive, think I may need some help with it so going to purchase 'Emotional support through breast cancer' a book a lot of ladies have recommended on this site.

Funnily enough I mentioned the clothes/sick thing to a nurse yesterday and she gave me the technical term for it, I had it after pregnancy as well as I was that sick then as well. She did say I can ask for the best stuff, the name began with an A but think its the same as emend, I think emend is just one manufacturers name. I was told I woukd take it one in the morning and evening for 3 days after treatment.

I did the shave last night, now a grade 1 although patchy as where its missing totally is visible,  I cried but feel much better than the clumps falling everywhere.  Was scared what the kids would say but they have been fine. I have a wig and a couple of scarves for indoors,  sleepcaps for bed. Im a fussy customer, need matching nighties to match the sleepcaps!!!  My hubbie just smiles at me and looks as into say shes crackers but I love her !!

Well next round Friday so start the dreaded steroids tomorrow..... hate them, but at least no coldcap.

Kirstie hope you are feeling better after your fall, just brings every emotion to the surface, hope any pain has eased.

Take care

Louise x

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Morning Lovewine are you actually sick or just feel it? I am never actually sick but feel nauseous for at least a week following chemo! I will ask the oncologist tomorrow about a better anti sickness pill. They don't always use the same drugs here in Cyprus as they do in UK. I think we should start a night thread for those of us that can't sleep! I am awfull the first 2 days after chemo I get out about 4 times, I guess its all the fluid they pump into you!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi Rosie and Louise, yes me too with sleeping and getting up for the loo!! My hubby too disturbs me when he comes to bed and I also wake up at 3.00 a.m and am wide awake: I find if I take a piece of cake or a biscuit and leave at side of bed to eat in the night it seems to help!!
Louise I asked for Emend anti sick drug and it made a huge difference for fec2: wasn't sick like 1st time and didn't feel as nauseous either! Enjoy your last day Rosie before it all starts again!!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi Louise 3721 I am having the same problem with certain foods and clothes they make me feel sick just to look at them as they bring back that awful after chemo sickness!! I don't sleep very well anyway my husband is always later than me coming to bed, which disturbs me and then I get up at least twice to the loo and the alarm goes at 6 for hubbie to go to work. Glad you are feeling more normal I am off for round 4 tomorrow so enjoying my last day!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi ladies bit shocking hair is coming out in handfuls getting my head shaved Fri its too upsetting to wait. Just feeling really like myself after being Fec'd

Oh well onwards and upwards

I too am on metaclopramide but going to ask for something else as the very thought of it makes me feel sick.

I too am keeping certain clothes and foods that i will.only have/use for chemo once this is over I will NEVER use them again

Anyone else finding it hard to sleep? Anyone got any tips managing about 5 hours a night and getting up twice !
