I love "A place in the sun - home or away" Lovelwine and watched it loads while off work earlier this year.
I'm feeling tired and discouraged this evening, I think I will watch some rubbish evening TV to cheer me up.
OH is in full present buying swing at the moment, his fingers are a blur on the keyboard as he places amazon orders LOL
I have started writing a newsletter to send out instead of christmas cards.
Hope you manage to fight off the cold, Lovewine, and rosie dont you just love those mornings when you can sleep in a bit, you deserve some rest and recuperation after all those long bus journeys.
Hello Ladies,
Just back from my trip to Norfolk to see my grandson and my daughter and partner, all was lovely and I helped to put up the christmas tree and decorations, I am not sure I will bother with any myself this year as I will not be in London for christmas. My grandson tells me he is going to be Joseph in the christmas play, bless him he had to audition by singing and apparently he sang jingle bells, I tried to get a rendition but no luck.
Sorry your Dad's are still weak and frail, I know it is very difficult to see them like that and to deal with the frailty in someone we have seen active and strong and looked up to all our lives.
Cassie x
Welcome back rosie, I hope you will be able to get a bit of a rest next week and gradually ease yourself back into normal life. I've bought my online advent calendar from jacquie lawson, I had problems installing it but after an hour of restarting, deleting cache, turning off real time scanning etc etc I maanged to get it to work. So that feels a bit Christmassy!
I have had some ideas for presents but need to get on and buy some things! I am also doing secret santa for OH, my son and daughter, which we always do when they are staying with us for Christmas. I am hoping to get some things for that from the village Christmas market next week.
I'm dreading next week if I'm honest, as I have three more jobs to apply for, quite a lot of things to finish off from my current job and I have to start finding useful things to do on this new project I have been asked to help with. I am also seeing my breast surgeon to agree dates etc for getting the prophylactic mx done on the left side, which I am hoping to have done earlyish next year.
Although I am glad I have some job options, I don't know which one I would really like to choose (assuming I get offered them all) as they all have disadvantages and advantages and I am not sure which I would prefer. This in istelf is quite stressful, as I keep changing my mind about which I think is the best option.
Lovewine, I hope your Dad is doing well and continuing to improve and that your new oven will be installed soon.
Lovewine - lots if big hugs. It is very distressing seeing someone you love dearly in such a state - and you must hold onto the fact that it is the drugs influencing your dad. Hope your mum and sister are holding up too. X x
Rosie. -Glad you have artived safely and hope all the travelling ensured you git a goid nights sleep. Enjoy your precious time with your dad
Wildpurl - yes you deserve a restful day tidsy sfter your budy week and thats good news re other appriaches.

Rosie, just dropping in from February to say well done on completing your rads marathon! Sorry you had such a stressful final day - have a safe journey and hope you can relax a bit next week.
Hi everyone,
Thought I'd come and say hello, prompted by bumping into Lovewine at the cinema on Sunday, the world is a very small place, you looked really well Wendy and it was lovely to say hello. I hope your dad is OK. I've had a quick read through but there are so many posts, too many for me to catch up on properly, so apologies for that. It sounds like everyone is getting on pretty well, Rosie - you've nearly finished your rads, congratulations, I expect you wont miss the daily travel, just think how much time you are going to get back ! Jackie - exciting that you are thinking about a move, we enjoyed Cyprus too, mainly the sunshine, although I do like this weather too, makes me feel cosy. Wildpurl - hope you're interview went well, when will you know the outcome?
I'll have a proper catch up in the next couple of days but until then have a good day tomorrow all
Lisa
