Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Well, good evening everyone, I haven't got much done today what with the dentist and the beautician and shopping, but it's all done now and we are at home relaxing. I have gratin dauphinois in the oven which will be served with grilled salmon and steamed broccoli.

Rosie, I'm so sorry you are back to not being able to do things, it was the constant going backwards I hated about chemo. I know I will be the same after my next operation and I'm dreading it. Your washing up story made me smile, it reminded me of my ex husband, he was a lovely man but would take ages to get around to doing things he had promised to do, it was so frustrating and I used to get very wound up by him. Hence him now being my ex! OH and I are both control freaks and both find it hard not to do stuff, it is more restful for me because we both don't like to leave things. I am totally with you on the washing up story, I would have washed up too.
Joan, you really sound as though you are thriving and enjoying life, which is lovely to hear about. It sounds as though you are having fun going out, meeting your friends and doing things you like, including exercise and looking after your grandchildren. I don't think any of us can do more than that really.

Tlj, you sound very upbeat as well, and seem to be getting on with your life and family activities.

I remember Thomas the Tank Engine , Lovewine, but not sure I remember rosie and Jim. I will ask DD and DS.

I meant to mention that I signed up with DoYouYoga for a month of free meditations. A link is sent every day by email and the meditation is guided by a video. I've only done the first one so far, but they are only 10 minutes a day so I am planning to do at least 2-3 a week. I thought it was a great opportunity to get back into meditation. I've also hit my next online course to start, Moons. I'm pretty tired today so I think it can wait till tomorrow but I am looking forward to it.

Yes Lovewine I remember Rosie and Jim, Thomas the Tank engine and Postman Pat!!!
Wildpurl glad your dentist visit went ok enjoy the beautician you sound as if you deserve it after the busy week you have had!
Oh dear Tlj naughty dog our cats used to catch rabbits when we lived in Somerset and even a mole once! Glad the chicken survived it's ordeal! Our dog caught a sparrow once and just played with it but poor thing was so frightened it died I was so cross with her!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Lovewine, I certainly can remember Rosie and Jim. My sons loved it too. Older son was Thomas obsessed. He would watch back to back videos whilst I was feeding younger son, even went on a Thomas day out on the Bluebell Railway once. Life moves on and it's FIFA on the xbox and listening to youtube videos now!
Really looking forward to seeing him in his play. I've just seen a few photos on a facebook page and it looks great. His school has a proper theatre so hopefully it's going to look quite professional.
Dog ownership has been interesting this week. Earlier in the week she caught a very large bunny and then today to my horror she caught a chicken. Fortunately, the chicken survived it's ordeal. I was unimpressed with the dog. Not quite sure what I would gphave done if she had killed the chicken. She has now gone to the lady who is looking after her for the weekend, so the house feels rather empty.

We had every video and our boys used to love it- we were word perfect and same with Thomas the tank !!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Haha quite right rosie, strangling is too good for her! You look lovely in your photo Lovewine, you certainly do not look old, your hair is great and you don't look frumpy in any of the photos of you I have seen, you look elegant and chic. Spiteful exGF was probably thinking how cool and confident you looked and feeling inadequate herself.

Sorry I haven't posted much this week, I had a busy day Monday, a training course Tuesday and a ghastly team building workshop on Wednesday and Thursday, which went on to 10 pm Wednesday night. I was shattered after all that and was in bed by 9 yesterday. This morning I have been at the dentist having part 1 of my root canal treatment. It was OK actually and has gone well so far. Next appointment in 3 weeks.

Now I'm off to the beautician so will post some more later as I can see you have all been busy!

Yes very true Rosie! A big improvement than a bald headed frump!! O/H home soon- so going to walk at a lovely canal close by called Foxton locks and take dogs and of course call in the lovely old fashioned pub halfway round🍺!!

You should have strangled her with the ball of wool Lovewine! You do not look like a helmet headed old frump- your hair is recovering very well from having none at all!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Well, shopping trip not very fruitful, couldnt really be bothered to look! Then to cap it all i bumped into my YSs spiteful, awful ex girlfriend- she looked really pretty and young, made me feel like a helmet headed old frump!! So i came home with a ball of wool from John lewis.
Tij, you are seeing the end in sight then for your herceptins- well done😄, i have number 7 next thursday so a while yet for me.,have a good trip to the u.k and half term. My YS is doing a sky dive in april fundraising for " children with cancer" charity, so hope you raised lots of money too.
Rosie, hope you are not too uncomfortable, at least you will be warm when weather turns colder next week with your log burner!! Think i may get mine lit ime so damn cold!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Good morning Tlj the sun is shinning today but next week it will be cloudy with rain and lower temperatures so I will be needing to use the log burner all day I am managing on the heating from the air con unit which will be costly but I am unable to handle the logs this week.
The surgeon won't do the reconstruction before I have healed which I think will be a while.😁😔 I can't believe I am still going through this a year later! I have had 2 herceptin infusions so won't finish these until the end of the year. Enjoy your son's play. Hope you made lots of money for the children's cancer charity!💰

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Morning ladies, another week has gone by and another herceptin done (number 12), so on the home straight now.
Rosie, I hope you are feeling less sore and infection has cleared up now. Am I right in thinking you can have your reconstruction anytime? If so, maybe it would be better to have your surgery after your cruise to guarantee you do not have any hiccups that could ruin your cruise. Hope the sun is shining for you today. I've managed to keep our log burner going since Sunday, which has involved several wheelbarrows of logs to be shifted. Husband has been away all week so I was the labourer. He is returning tonight and then tomorrow we are travelling to the UK to watch my son in his house play, back Sunday night.
I spent the morning of the Cancer Day at the hospital. I had herceptin first and then went to help on the stand of the children's cancer charity I help. Always find it interesting who makes donations. It's the people who look like they can least afford it!
Hope everyone is feeling good and has a good weekend despite the freezing temperatures.

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Morning ladies, Joan, your day yesterday sounded pretty much ideal to me! Nice lunch and then comfy sofa in front of fire! I expect you are on grandchild duty today? Hope you are not too frazzled by this evening.
Rosie, I couldn't sit and look at washing up either all day- how irritating ! O/h does a similar thing with weekly dustbins- " don't get dragging those bins out I will do it before I go. To bed" he says- only for me to wake up at crack of dawn and look outside to see he's forgotten and as bin lorry is very early I usually rush down in pyjamas and put out- seething with temper! So I now do them myself last thing at night! O/.h was fine at work and gone again today - so can now get on with my usual jobs without wanting to ram the vacuum cleaner into his legs!
Wildpurl, enjoy your long weekend, what are your plans?
Cassie, hope the physio is helping you- have a nice weekend.
Thinking of all you other ladies, hope things are going well.
I am going into Leicester today as I have Fridays off generally if I can- marks and spencer to begin and then have my eye on a very nice handbag in John Lewis I might have to liberate👜!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Good morning hope you are all managing to stay warm. Your evening by the fire sounded lovely Joan after your lunch expedition. I love mushroom risotto😜
Glad you have the necklace sorted. My friend stayed with me until half past one and then we had a meeting at home with a work colleague in the evening. DH heated some pizzas and put a salad together. I crawled into bed at 11.30 ans he said leave the washing up I will do it! It was still there this morning with a note on saying do not touch! I was so cross I ripped the note up and proceeded to do the washing up!😁 all he said was I thought I told you to leave that!!! If he thought I was going to sit with it all day he couldn't have been more wrong!!!
Hope, everyone has a Good Friday. Lovewine hope your OH got on ok at work and that your travelling isn't hampered by weather conditions. Wildpurl enjoy your long weekend are you off to Pilates today?
Cassie hope you aren't working too hard also Kirstie and Lisa- one week until, half term! Tlj I expect your son will come home for half term?

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Evening ladies. Reclining on the sofa again in front of a lovely fire. Went into Bristol for lunch with an ex colleague, now fit for nothing. Still it was a lovely lunch at Jamie's Italian, mushroom risotto out of this world.

Rosie, how frustrating to be able to do less than you were. Hopefully once you those painful stitches out it won't be too long before you get back to your previous level of activity. And how disappointing that you are not able to get to Dubai, would have been just the thing in the middle of winter. But at least there is some compensation with your friend being over. Yes, I did get the necklace so all sorted now. Thank you for asking.

Lovewine, glad to hear your husband has recovered sufficiently to be going back to work. Hopefully risk of strangulation now over or at least much reduced. As you say, Cancer much in the news at the moment. Quite horrifying to read that half the population born after 1960 are going to get some form of cancer. Hope your cancerversary was not too painful a day for you. I am still struggling a bit to get away from being a patient. So it is not surprising that having the injections is making that more difficult for you. Hope the snow doesn't give you too many problems. It has been bitterly cold here today but no snow as yet.

My friend is out in Cyprus at the moment for another week I have just invited her round for coffee!😃

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Morning Rosie, at least you will have the sunshine later☀️, we have woken up to snow again and bitterly cold , at least O:H gone off to work-thankfully!! Bloody annoying you back to not being so active again- next week things will improve when stitches have come out- keep your chin up, you have come a long way in 12 months with everything you have overcome- I am in awe of you! I think too with having the herceptin as I have said before- it still feels very much like we are cancer patients still in the chemo system almost😬 I am still having regular blood tests which is a struggle as no veins - checking white blood cell count, so that makes me anxious too💉😔.....a sympathetic hug for you! Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Good morning ladies!
Well I certainly appreciated the warmth of waking up,to central heating and carpet in the UK. Hate cold mornings here! Supposed to get to 21 today ok over weekend dropping to 12- 16 next week cloudy and rain so I will be burning the logs next week!
Next escape form here April1st on the cruise but I can't see me having the reconstruction done by then!😫😬😭
I hate having to go backwards again and not be able to do tasks like walk the dog- just imagine her face if I set out for a walk without her!!! Will have to watch what I eat this week, sampled too many coffee and homemade cake venues and drank wine in the evenings!
Fed up about not being able to go to our friends in Dubai at half term! 😫herceptin right in the middle of it! When will this nightmare end?????
At least the sun is shinning here so need to be thankful for small mercies!
Have managed to put washing in the machine I think I will have to take it out in 2 journeys using my right arm and side.
Hope everyone is going along ok nearly the weekend!😉

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Hi Rosie, good to hear you are now back home, must be nice to be warmer back in Cyprus! Expect the stitches are becoming quite tight now and uncomfortable, poor you 😬. Cancer is on the t.v news a lot today, due to being national cancer day! Apparently 1 in 2 of us will get it now😕, an untimely reminder at this particular time...hope everyone is doing ok. I have had quite a busy day with work, O/H is returning to work tomorrow, so strangulation is on hold! He will be on light duties as still quite sore, but at least he will be back into the work routine!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Good evening everyone we are back in Cyprus where it is warmer!!! The house was cold though as all the blinds had been closed and shutters upstairs! Got the log burner going now' dog glad to be home I have just sent DH out to get a few things as I can't drive again!!!! Saw the surgeon and have to go back next Wednesday for stitches out!😫😬
The return flight was much better and only 4hours 20 mins instead of 5 hrs!
Joan glad you managed to get tidied up at the hairdressers it makes you feel more normal! Did you get the necklace to go with your dress? I bet you looked very healthy after you Nordic walking with your red face!😃
Lovewine how lovely to be able to visit Canada - I like Thousand Island salad dressing😜
I think possible today- our DD birthday, is the anniversary I went to the doctor to get the lump checked- no it would have been yesterday because it was a Monday I had to wait all weekend!!!😒

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Evening ladies, Rosie, safe trip home and good luck at your surgeons appt tomorrow!! O/Hs parents still live in canada, they live near Kingston in Ontario, Ottawa is about 100 miles from them, which in Canadian terms is quite close! We have been over to stay with them quite a few times, but air fares are very expensive at about £600.00 each, so only visit every couple of years!! They came over 18 months ago for eldest sons wedding and also the previous year for both of my sons graduations. They live in a lovely area called The Thousand Islands- where the salad dressing originated!
I managed my rounds without too much problem, the rural roads were quite icy and snow quite bad, tomorrow is my " cancerversarry"! A year since discovery of " the lump", feels quite surreal sometimes.
Joan, glad you enjoyed your walking and a bonus too finding a necklace!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

No snow here. Hope you managed to do your rounds without too much hassle, Lovewine. Rosie, hope snow doesn't disrupt your travel plans and you have a good journey back home.

Enjoyed the Nordic walking although now feeling the effects. It was quite cold so I layered up with the result that by the time we got back I was overheated and bright red in the face. Not a good look, especially with my red and pink woolly hat. Went on to the hairdressers, who managed to make something of my hair. I wouldn't say it is a style exactly but it certainly looks tidier. And I spotted a necklace in a nearby shop which might just go with my dress.

Quiet board today, hope everyone else is OK.

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Joan good luck with your Nordic walking hope you haven't got snow like Lovewine? No snow in Ludlow cold but blue sky and sunny!
Joan I like Lovewine get very tired by 9pm and go to bed as soon after as I can. Not sleeping as well at the moment as I can't turn onto my left side! Can't believe we will be on a flight home this time tomorrow! It's been a quick busy visit. Sad we haven't been able to see any of our children this visit.😔 not seeing any of them until the summer!
Lovewine hope you manage to get all your calls done safely.
Which part of Canada is OH from have you ever been?
My dad had a cousin in Ottawa. When he visited England he gave my sister and I a shinny dollar and a charm bracelet with a maple leaf on. My parents did go out to visit him many years ago!
I don't think the surgeon will take out any stitches tomorrow I bet I have to keep them for another week! Hopefully then it will all settle down.😏
Have a good day everyone!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Morning ladies, woken up to a covering of snow so trying to deliver/collect my work will be interesting this morning! Most of my clients live in very rural villages so will be challenging. O/H is canadian, so finds our little snow falls and subsequent disruption highly amusing- he was used to digging the cars out from under 6 feet of snow, hope all is well with everyone? Wildpurl, havnt heard from you for a few days, hope you are ok too.
Rosie, hows the wound healing, not giving you too much pain i hope😬

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Evening all, Rosie, not surprising you are tired, hope you accomplished what needed to be done , always very sad having to sort out a loved ones belongings/legal obligations. I hope you can rest when you return home and recover from your ordeal.

Joan, i struggle with fatigue too, somedays i can accomplish a great deal, others can hardly be bothered to get off sofa, always by 8.00 p.m i am really tired, usually retire to my bed at 9.00 p.m to watch t.v Or read! I also have very stiff and sore joints, particularly hands and feet, at last onc appt 3 weeks ago he said it was the taxotere even after 6 months! It is very frustrating. This is why i am trying more healthier eating and trying little changes in the hope it will improve things😟 enjoy the nordic walking tomorrow!

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Sorry, my internet connection cut out just after posted that. Also meant to thank Lovewine and say I'm with you on feeling the cold more. It doesn't help not having a full covering of hair. Nice and warm now though, curled up in front of the fire. Spent most of the afternoon on the sofa. Went swimming this morning and came back feeling great. Did about three hours work on the computer, but then just managed a very quick trip to the shops before completely running out of steam. So frustrating. Tomorrow I am planning to go Nordic walking but in order to do that it looks like I will have to take it easy in the morning. How are other people doing on the fatigue front? Rosie, it's not surprising you are feeling tired. And you have the return flight and then the hospital appt. hope you manage to get some rest soon.

Great to hear from you Kirstie and even better you are on the mend and are so pleased with the results- I agree with you about longing for summer!

Lovely to hear from you Kirstie, it's great that you have not only had your reconstruction but are so pleased with it. I'd be interested to hear why you switched to coconut oil and Lovewine why your niece suggested it. I've heard it recommended but haven't gone into it.

Lovewine, I'm sorry that your dads shingles are still painful and that life is so difficult for your mum. I'm sure she really appreciates having some time away from it with you.

Managed walk this afternoon along the coastal path, though very grateful I'd taken walking poles with me. Then spent afternoon on the sofa reading the paper.

Rosie, hope you had an uneventful journey to your sisters and are managing to get some rest alongside sorting things out.

Wishing everyone good weeks.

Hi everyone sorry I've not been on much.

Rosie you poor thing I can only imagine how disappointed you must feel, sound like you are really going through it still x you have had such a lot to deal with x. Fabulous hair btw, mine is super curly !

I still haven't got the cooking hug but we switched to 100% coconut oil for cooking most things last year and you can't really taste it my husband doesn't like coconut and he said it's fine for him.

Lovewine I hope you got through the weekend without carrying out an major crimes !

I have had my reconstruction done it will be 2 weeks tomorrow so just the nipples next I will be going back in 6 weeks to plan the when that will be done - he has done a fab job I have to say, I bottled out of the diep thou and just went for implants.

Glad to see everyone has popped in to say hello lately, at least January is done ! to be honest I'm just looking forward to summer because hopefully then it will just those horrible tablets that make me feel nuts, but no more surgery !

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Evening ladies, Joan, sounds like you had a nice day in stratford, glad you enjoyed the play, if you are still looking for jewellery the website " not on the high street.com" has some nice pieces at reasonable prices.
Regarding dad- he spends a lot of time asleep, very hard for mum as she is very fit and active, i think she is frustrated at not getting out and about, said i would take her out for a couple of hours again next saturday. Dads shingles are still very painful, but the spots are not quite so red and angry looking.
I had a nice couple of hours with my niece, she is very keen on healthy eating, so picked up some ideas for healthier cake baking! Bought coconut oil to use in baking /cooking and spelt flour! Made some dark choc and raspberry spelt muffins when i got home- really yummy😄, i always hated cooking, but since BC have developed quite a liking for it, think its because i have made more time to do things and also because i would rather know what i am eating more!
Well, another week begins, at least january has gone, O/H off work for another week too- not sure if my patience will last past monday night! He is becoming a little more active and the dressings have been taken off, looks like he has 5 stab wounds in his stomach!
Rosie, hope you are getting on ok, wildpurl, hope you have had a good weekend.

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Rosie, your hair looks wonderful, I am so envious of that, just 10 minutes walking from the car to a coffee shop yesterday made my hair stand on end for the rest of the day. I'm going to have to do something about it soon or I will be back to wearing a hat. But you deserve something going well for you. Friday sounds quite brutal. Horrendous to do all that under a local but on the positive side you are not having to fly while still suffering from the effects of a general. Glad the brandy and coke helped and that you weren't awake all night. You must have been exhausted after the flight though. Just what you didn't need. Good job you're not teetotal although if you had been before you started treatment you would have had to be a saint to remain so through everything you have had to cope with. Hope the wound doesn't look too bad when you take the dressing off and that it settles down quickly and you can get on with the next stage before too long.

Wildpurl, your suggestion about Lovewines projected scarf made me laugh. Would it count as incitement to violence though? On the other hand there is written evidence that the idea had already occurred to Lovewine.

Lovewine, glad to hear husband is not only still alive but recovering, at least while you are not looking at him. The scrambled eggs sound delicious, I love chorizo. And fudge too. Hope you had a good trip to Market Harborough. Your carers outing with your mum sounds a welcome bit of respite for you both. How is your dad doing? I made a similar soup on thursday: butternut squash, red pepper, sweet potato and lentil. Looked and tasted Pretty good as well as making me feel virtuous.

Wildpurl, hope you have had a good couple of days and that OH is no longer at risk.

Had a lovely day in Stratford yesterday. The play (Much Ado about Nothing) was extremely well done and very very funny. Afterwards I trawled the shops looking for jewellry (no luck) and a scarf to brighten up my dress for the weddings. Found one in the very last shop I had time to go into before meeting husband and friends for an early dinner. Today is going to be more of a rest day, bit of housework then hopefully a walk this afternoon.

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

We arrived after midnight Lovewine airport security had been stepped up! The first 2 hrs of the flight was very turbulent and I hated it! It took 2 hrs for the drinks trolley to arrive as we were in the middle of the plane and they had to keep putting away. When it got to us had a brandy and began to relax a bit!
Off to my sisters today after breakfast at the holiday inn😜
Glad to hear they OH has made yummy fudge and you got out with your mum for a bit I bet she enjoyed it.
Wildpurl hope your OH is in a better mood and you can enjoy Sunday. Joan hope you enjoyed your theatre trip.
I am going to have a shower in a minute and will have to take off the dressing and see what disaster lies underneath! 😁

Hope you have arrived here safely Rosie. Good luck with all your sorting out regarding your dads estate😟
Hope you are not in too much discomfort.
Joan, hope you have enjoyed stratford today. Wildpurl, hope you have had a relaxing day too, and you too cassie.
I took my mum out for an hour earlier for a little break away from looking after dad and my nurse duties- both of us said we are fed up with looking after them both! Nice to get out for a while. Am taking my lovely neice into market harborough in the morning, she is a budding cook, so taking her to the large sainsburys and waitrose so she can stock up on ingredients- so another break away from possible strangulation!
Am cooking sweet potato and pepper soup tonight, O/H must feel a little better as he made some fudge this afternoon- very nice it is too!! He used condensed milk, coconut milk, pistachio nuts and vanilla extract.

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Morning Rosie, oh dear, just as well as you are going away later today- definitely O/H in jeopardy at strangulation! 😬😕 men really can be so irritating. My O\H " struggled " off his new home on the sofa on his laptop announcing last night- " i will make us some scrambled eggs for dinner, its all i can manage right now", cue me having to be magnanimous and grateful! Although they were very nice as he put rocket and chorizo in them. He is becoming mobile, until he sees me there and then resumes slapped backside face again😼
I cant believe you had that awful port and cut without a general anaesthetic, you have every right to feel traumatised, really really hope you have no further problems and the implant can go in soon. Have a safe trip to the u.k, at least you wont be looking at dog mess!🐶x

Re: Anyone due to start chemo April 14??

Good morning ladies!
I managed to drag myself out for a meal at our local village taverna with our very good friends who are in Cyprus for 2 weeks. I had a large brandy and coke that seemed to keep me going. I did take 2 very strong pain killers and didn't sleep too badly all things considered. I have just taken 2 more. The worst thing is the cut and the stitching in the left side where he took the port out! I think I am so used to having my chest opened and closed it is numb! I don't know the extent of the cut as I couldn't look. He did say I could shower this morning but in view of flying tonight I am going to leave the big dressing in place and wait until the morning.
It is extremely frustratingly being restricted again - thank goodness we are going alway for a few days into hotels and my sister's where I don't have to get upset by washing up mounting up or things out of place!😬 it makes me realise how far I had come. If we had been staying at home I think my DH would have been added to the strangulation list!!
Wildpurl I hope you are correct and now the expander has been removed I will heal and he will be able to perform the final implant surgery. I still can't believe what a traumatic experience yesterday was!😷😬🙀🙈😿😫

Your hair is looking vey nice, rosie, I really like the colour and your earrings are fab! I too have gone back to wearing earrings with my shorter hair, it's quite fun choosing them to match my outfit.

Your ordeal sounds horrible but at least it is done now and hopefully you will heal fully this time.

Lovewine, if you knit a scarf it will be lovely and warm and could also be a strangulation aid if required 😉

Thanks Lovewine I love earrings! The ones I am wearing I have had for several years, when all the kids were young and still at home! Good luck with your knitting glad OH has progressed to clothes!

Rosie, you look great! Hair looks very nice, how awful the removal sounded, it must have been extremely unpleasant for you, you did very well to put up with all that for an hour- definitely a lage drink and something nice to spoil yourself with tonight! I also am admiring your lovely earrings in your new picture- you do wear some nice ones!

Wildpurl, enjoy your day, your menu sounds great as usual, may look into the pumpkin soup, just what is needed on a winters day, i use the Bbc good food recipe website quite a lot as they have not too complicated recipes that are delicious. My O/H gets very grumpy when working extra hours too!

Joan, hope you are not too worn out today, Stratford sounds a nice day out, hope you enjoy the play! Good that you found a suitable outfit for the wedding!

Cassie, any more foot spas!? Hope you can relax this weekend after the wedding alterations of last weekend.

We had quite a lot of snow overnight,it has melted now thankfully. I went to work this morning and then popped into Leicester to marks and spencer, i returned a handbag i ordered online, but it was massive, bought a nice pair of straight leg navy jeans instead, some cornish daffodils and porridge! I also bought some chunky wool so may knit a scarf/snood over weekend to be distracted from imminent strangulation of O/H!!
He has graduated from pyjamas to clothing now-but still huffing and puffing and moaning!!! -poor O/H am sure its very sore, but i am very impatient for normality!

Tij, hope you are enjoying your dog walks, sorry to hear of family problems, just what you dont need at the time of anniversary of diagnosis.
