Cath. I have had calcificatios twice before . My biopsies were clear so stay positive. We all know how awful the wait is but are sending you our strength and love.
Gill xx
Cath - not been on for ages, just dropped in to check on everyone & sorry to hear about your mammo experience. Am sending lots of positive vibes your way and will say some prayers for you. Hope the news is the best it can be on Thursday.
Sending you a big, squishy hug to keep you going,
Love, Julie

Sorry Cath, only got back yesterday and just picked up the latest thread. I’ve got everything crossed for you and hope you get the results quickly. As others have said hopefully it’s a blurred image. Big hugs. Xxx
Thanks, Sylvie
Not long back from my appointment and it wasn't a blurred image. 😞 They did another mammogram and found some spots - calcification- they then did an ultrasound, hoping I could have an ordinary biopsy as the vac biopsy is quite hard for me with my AS. But I ended up having to have the vac biopsy - wasn't as bad as I thought - then another mammogram to check the marker they put it.
Won't get results till next week. I have an appointment for Thurs so please keep all prayers and positive thoughts going.
I'm going to try and put it out of my mind until then - no sense worrying about something I've no control over.
Hugs to all the July ladies

Thanks for the hugs, Gill.
I'm hoping it's just a blurred image, too. Thankfully, I don't have to wait too long to find out. Just have to get through today. 🙂

Sorry Cath, I phrased my reply badly when I said it’s still a worry, what I meant was due to our previous experiences it’s only natural to worry even though there are lots of reasons you have been called back.
There’s a reason you are a writer and I’m not!!
Take care xxx
Karen, no apology necessary, I know exactly what you mean. It's because of our previous experience that I'm on edge, and also why I haven't told anyone except hubs - and only because he's driving me to the appointment. 🙂
I appreciate the good wishes.
Hugs
Cath
Congrats on your half marathon time, Clare.
I went for my mammogram last Thursday and received a phone call this morning telling me I need to go back.
Booked in for Friday. Hoping they're just erring on the side of caution, but all positive thoughts would be gratefully received. 😞

Good luck Cath, I’m sure you’ll be fine. Lovely day here in Hampshire too, sat in the garden under the shade with the glorious scent of the jasmine.
This is what summer should be like! Xx
Thanks, Sylvie
The book reading actually went quite well. (Didn't end up in floods of tears, so that's a plus. lol)
Your garden sounds so restful - I love jasmine.
Weather is still gorgeous here. It's lovely to wake up to the sunshine every morning. Long may it continue.

Cath how is life in Northern Ireland ?
We haven't heard from Wendy for awhile have we? Hope she is ok and just busy living life.
Well ladies time to get out of the bed and get ready for my day out.
Tomorrow I am going to a cornish gin festival..What a busy life I lead.
Stay well,embrace life.

How lovely to hear from so many July Ladies. 🙂
Sylvie - lol on the boob letters. Bet you're excited about your Canada trip. Don't stress it. Everything that needs to be done will be done and if not... so what. All you need is your passport and money. (Oh, and your partner, better not forget him. lol)
Clare - thanks for the explanation re your 'last' appt. I'm doing self-assessment so I haven't had any hospital appointments except for my mammogram, which I'm still waiting to get for this year.
Sounds like you're enjoying retirement. Go you!
Gill - I LOVE swimming, mostly in the pool but you can't beat the beach, especially in this weather. Enjoy.
Life in N. Ireland is sunny at the moment. We had a long car trip yesterday to check out houses for our son's return to college in Sept - 5 hours in total - and it hit 32 degrees in the car!!!
Today I plan to stay in the shade. lol
Have fun at your gin festival.
Hugs to all the July ladies.

Evening ladies
Well here I am, in good old Blighty, and the weather's amazing!! Better than that I'm actually emjoying it too, except for a short spell yesterday afternoon on a site visit when it was way too hot. Still, mustn't grumble.
Has anyone else had their results yet. I got two identical letters both saying OK at the moment, they must have sent one for each boob! They'll be wanting their own postcode next.
How;s the lazyitis going Cath, let me know if they find a cure, I could sure do with it. I come home full of good intent and then do precious little. Never mind. Gill you certainly don't sound like you're suffering from laziness and neither do you Clare. Perhaps the key is to retire, maybe then I'll get a new lease of life. It's amazing, I only need a few days off work and my eyes look clearer and I sleep better, and I feel more energetic. Only 10 years to go.
Well only 2 weeks now till we go to Canada and I can't wait. I am however starting to build the pre-holiday stress trying to get all the things doen that you have to sort out before you go. We went to Buxton for 3 nights this weekend and it was so nice just to get in the car and drive, no taxis, no airports, no worry about watering plants etc, it really was lovely. Think himself is finally comong round to more travel in the UK at last.
Hoping we're all well, shout out to the girls who haven't been on for while, drop by if you get time please and let us know how you're doing. (I sound like my mother!!)
Clare
Congrats on your half marathon time. You must be delighted.
It sounds like you're enjoying your retirement.
Good luck with your appointment on the 21st Aug. Quick question, if you don't mind me asking: why will this be your last hospital appointment?
Hugs
Cath
Hi Gill,
It has been quiet in here, hasn't it? Good to know that we're all getting on with our lives, but also nice to know we still have the forum if we want to catch up.
I'm due my mamogram appointment next month - I think I'm a month after everyone. Here's hoping for good results all around again.
Weather has been fab here and I've been enjoying every minute. Storms came in last night, and it's a bit overcast this morning, but still warm.
I'm looking for an agent for this next book. (Thought I'd try that rather than a publisher this time around.) Haven't subbed it much yet. Yes, I've got lazyitis. 🙂
Enjoy your couple of Dave-free days 😉
Hugs to all the July ladies
Cath
Good morning to you all.
I hope this quite posting means that everybody has been keeping well, busy living life and happy.
I am adjusting to having Dave home all the time. With all this dry and sunny weather( except for today so far)
we have been busy hedge trimming if no birds nesting trying to get them to a manageable height. We are nearly halfway round the garden.
I have still been finding time for meeting up with my friends.
Dave is going to a reunion 29 th June for 2 nights so I am looking forward to pleasing myself..
Clare hope your running is still going well.
Sylvie soon be time to pack for Canada.have a fabulous time.
Cath prepare for good weather !!! Have you managed to find a publisher now for your book.?.
Wendy what are you up to I wonder.?
I have a dreadful memory these days and if not written down I just forget things.
It's mammogram time for us all so let's have a year of positive results so that we can celebrate 4 years clear xxx
Hugs to all July ladies whether you post on here or not.
Gill xx
Hiya Gill *Waves*
Sylvie - I shall put those dates in my diary. lol. Enjoy Canada.
Clare - Congrats to your son for running the Boston marathon in such conditions. (And to you for standing out in that weather to cheer everyone on.)
Hope you both feel better soon, and have a chance to enjoy the rest of your trip.
Hugs to all the July ladies

Oh Clare poor you . HOPE feeling better soon and your son. Congratulations on his marathon run. The UK runners baked in the hot temperatures.
HOPE you managed to enjoy San Francisco despite having flu.

Too much for me even in the pool. Drinks were outrageously expensive but the food in the hotel was wonderful, as was the service and the general hotel facilities. I would like to think we will definitely go back as it's a great place for some winter sun.
Clare, I think you're amazing for doing your running. I know I've said this before but I really need to get my act together and do some exercise, there's really no excuse.
Despite the poor weather that has welcomed me home the good weather that you all enjoyed while I was gone has really brought the garden on, that was lovely to come home to. Flowers everywhere.
Have a great week everyone, Cath no leaving your writing area until you've finished the next book!!

LOL. Still editing the next book, but shopping around for an agent this time and maybe a new publisher so it may be a while before the book is out.
So glad you had a good time in Abu Dhabi. It sounds very relaxing.
When's your next holiday? (Just checking to see when we get sunshine again. )

Clare - post the link for sponsorship. I probably won't have any money until the end of the month, but I'd like to send something - it's a worthy cause.
Gill - I'm sure hubs won't know what's hit him when he finally sets eyes on your 'list' lol
Weather has turned nice here, but nothing in the league of England's glorious heatwave. Still, I'll take whatever we can get. 🙂
Enjoy the sun July ladies.

Julie I'm so sorry to hear your mum passed away, Alzheimers is just so cruel and distressing, especially for the family. I'm glad you managed to get away for a break. Madagascar sounds amazing too.
Gill, glad your results came through as ok, the wait and worry is over for another year. Personally I think I'll worry more after I go back to three yearly checks than I do now, maybe I will just always worry more. Can't wait to come off the tablets though.
Cath - I would think by now you are well over your bug and sitting huddled in a corner in a chocolatey mess. I haven't started on my easter eggs yet as I know that when I open them I will just go for it.
Clare - well done on your 10K results, you're amazing. I wish I could catch the exercise bug but it seems to evade me. I have had the lazy bug all my life with no sign of a cure!!
Another damp and drizzly day here, really sick of this weather. I'm off to Abu Dhabi next week for some sunshine, be prepared to get your sun screen out girls because whenever I go abroad we have a heatwave here.
Have a great week everyone. xx
The lazy bug... lol. I think I have a touch of that, too
Abu Dhabi sounds amazing. I hope you have a great holiday. Funnily enough, they said on TV today that we're due a heatwave next weeks so maybe there's something to you affecting the weather. In which case, if you want to stay in Abu Dhabi for a while, none of us mind. rofl.
Hugs to all the July ladies

Still no chocolate, but stomach is MUCH better today. In fact, it's such a horrible day outside - cold and wet - that I may just indulge in a hot bubble bath, followed by some mindless TV and yes, I may even attempt to work my way through my chocolate stash. rofl
Stay warm July ladies
