Ah Wendy, I’m so sorry to hear what must be everyone’s worst nightmare, but what a time your having - go girl! Stay as positive as you are and enjoy every minute. We are all here any time you need, but please let us now how the scans go.
sending hugs and love. Helen
Hi Wendy
Thanks for getting back in touch again. Sorry to hear that you've been through so much. I love your mantra and completing your bucket list sooner rather than putting it off is one lesson breast Cancer has taught us all.
I am so pleased that you are proving your consultant wrong and I am keeping everything crossed for good news on your next scan. Do keep in touch and to see you for our next meet. Big hugs and good wishes.
Love
Clare
Hi Wendy - so good to hear from you again but sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I'm so pleased you have been having a great time travelling & are defying the doctors - may that continue for a long, long time.
You were missed in Bath so yes, any time you fancy it, I'm up for another meet-up - just let me know when & I'll pack my bag lol.
Youngest daughter next door eh? She's certainly not flown far from the nest which sounds lovely (but I hear you on the 'hope it's not too handy' bit - good luck with that!). My youngest is 16 today - can't believe where the years have gone.
Good luck for your scan results. Will be thinking of you & hopefully see you soon,
Julie
xx
Hi Wendy
It’s lovely to hear from you but really shocked and sorry to hear your news. How are you feeling at the moment?
Canada sounds fabulous, it’s amazing how much travelling you have achieved in the last couple of years.
As Cath and Sylvia have said your mantra of ‘do it now’ is a good one and something I will be adopting.
It’s a shame you couldn’t make Bath but would be wonderful to meet up.
Please keep us updated on your scan, I will be thinking of you
with love, Karen
Wendy, it’s so wonderful to hear from you but, and I’m sure everyone will agree, I really wish it was with better news. Is this why you couldn’t make it to the meet up?
As Cath has said your mantra is spot on, I have taken a similar approach since being diagnosed. How did you become aware of the problem, was it picked up in a routine scan? Please do let us all know your next scan results. And whatever you’re doing to defy the doctors, keep doing it! We all want to meet you, if you ever want to meet up just say so, I’m sure we’d pull strings to be there.
I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts. XX
Wendy - it's so lovely to hear from you. We missed you (and our other July Ladies) dearly on our get together in Bath.
I'm shocked to hear that you were diagnosed with secondary BC of the bone. That must have been a sucker-punch! But I love your mantra. "Do it now" is something we all should embrace. It sounds like you're 'embracing' all you can, traveling the world - I hope you're having a ball. 🙂
Hubs and I are almost empty nesters - oldest is now married and made us grandparents twice over (youngest grandchild is 7 weeks old) Youngest has just returned from 4 years at college... In some ways, it's lovely to have him home, in others... I'm guessing it's a little like having your daughter move next door. lol
Praying you receive good scan results in November and you definitely have to be part of our next meet up - "Do it now," mate. I'd love to catch up with you face-to-face.
Hugs
Cath
Hi ladies
It is such a long time since I posted on the forum, but recently I was contacted by Gill re the get together in BATH. I hope you all had a lovely time.
I am in Canada at the moment, we have been here 3 weeks visiting family and touring Ontario and Quebec. We travel home on Saturday.
Such a lot has happened in the last 5 + years hasn't it!
We have travelled all over the world, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Carribean, Europe. Do it now is our mantra, although we are planning to stay put in the UK now.
I will get my latest scan results in November, I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer of the bone a couple of years ago now, the cancer is very small and cannot be reached to perform a biopsy so I just have regular bone and c t scans. My consultant predicted I would live for 18 months at the time of diagnosis, however he continues to be amazed every time I show up looking alive and well !! Lol
Family continue to grow, marry, move out, so we are now empty nesters and enjoying every minute. Although my youngest daughter has recently bought the house next door, I'm hoping it isn't too handy!
I do hope everyone is doing well from the July 14 group, I haven't looked back on all of the posts as there has been so many, would love to be part of the next meet up and hear how you are all doing.
Love to all
Wendy

Thanks Cath. Is everyone staying over at same place, sorry I seem to have missed out on the planning.
@hbunny wrote:Thank you Clare, Cath and slydog. Well after another 3 boob squishes and ultrasound, radiologist was unable to find anything at all. Explanation - breast tissue sometimes lies on top of each other and looks suspect! So happy to say ALL CLEAR - in Cath’s words doing a little dance here in the rain with sheer relief.
It has given me a kick up the bum though as I have slipped back into work, work, work and not enough play. Will have to remedy that. Will be going to yoga tonight to try and rebalance the crap energy.🧘♀️
Hope everyone is feeling good and all results are coming back happy.
take care all and see you soon - do we have a date in September?
hbunny xxxxxxxxxxx
Whoo hoo! Fantastic news! Delighted all went well.
Dates for September are 18th and 19th. I'm all booked and can't wait to meet up with everyone. So hard to believe it's been 5 years!!!

Hi hbunny. So sorry to hear that you have to experience worry again. I am keeping everything crossed for you and holding all the positivity for you. Good luck and hope all results are negative
Love and big hug
Clare
Thank you both so much for your kind thoughts. Cath I know you were triple neg as well and it’s good to know others have gone through this as well and come out with a good outcome.
will let you know how I get on. Much love xx
@hbunny wrote:Hello lovely ladies, sorry I haven’t been in touch for ages, been so busy still working full time and currently remodelling the kitchen!
5th year has certainly caught up so quickly and just had results of latest mammogram- came back with a shadow in the same place as original, although nothing tangible, so back for ultrasound tomorrow and possible biopsy. Sorry, but needed to send the fear somewhere, the flashbacks to that original diagnosis are hitting me from everywhere and I’m not really keeping it together right now. Keep you fingers and everything else if possible. I know this doesn’t always mean another primary or recurrence, but I’m not seeing that right now.
if I get through this unscathed please count me in for the get together wherever it might be.
look after yourselves. Love hbunny
Sending you huge hugs, hbunny. I know how frightening something like that can be. The same thing happened to me at my mamo last year. Fortunately, it tuned out just to be calcification, but going through all that again...the worry, the vac biopsy... It's not nice.
We're all here for you. Please let us know how you get on tomorrow.
Hugs
Cath
Hi Helen, so sorry to hear your news but please please try to hold back the worry until you’ve had your tests. Difficult/impossible I know. Please do let us know how you get on. It doesn’t matter how long it’s been since you’ve been on here, we’re all here for each other. It’s that time of year when we’re all going to be having what should be the last of our annual mammograms.
I really hope you can make the meet up in September in Bath, it will be great to finally put faces to the names.
I have everything crossed for you for tomorrow. Xx

Hi Clare. I had that horrible virus and laid up for 10 days. Never had anything like it in my life . Taking me a while to pick up energy levels.
London is a long way from Cornwall. Bristol is about half way . Once I have everyone's email or phone number we can decide.
Gill xx

Hi Cath. Bristol is just over 100mi from London. It takes between 1 1/2hrs to 2 hrs by train . And maybe 1 1/2hrs by car.
Hope you are keeping well. I had this horrible virus cough and sinusitis (my weakness) but well now.
Stayed indoors for 11days so my training for The London marathon is behind
Take care ladies
Clare
Hiya Clare,
Sorry to hear about the virus. I'm sure you'll catch up on your training. When is your marathon?
Thanks for the info on Bristol. Hubs and I will be flying in, so won't be driving. Is Bristol central for everyone or can we move our meeting closer to London?
Happy to go with the majority.

Hi Gill,
Had a fab time at the wedding, so much so, I'm still recovering. lol Was a brilliant venue and the bride (and groom) looked amazing. Such a happy occasion. 🙂
Dogs are just big furballs of love, aren't they? I don't know where I'd be without mine. Dex is now 13 years old and slowing down a lot - a bit like myself. lol
I've been so focused on the wedding that I haven't really given much thought to Christmas. Guess I'd better get my skates on and get it sorted. *Gulp*
Merry Christmas, July Ladies.

Flossie - having a dog is a life-changing event. Our dog turned 13 this year and is slowing down a lot, but is still a major part of our family. Enjoy your time with Nala.
Being Triple negative, I'm definitely on the countdown to my 5-year anniversary! 🙂
Clare - great to hear from you. Sounds like you're keeping yourself busy and out of trouble. lol
I haven't had a chance to stress over Christmas yet as we have our son's wedding on the 17th. Starting to get excited about it now.
Wishing all the July ladies a Merry Christmas and A happy & Peaceful New Year.
