Hi Clare

So glad you got to see your son this time. And what a personal best!! You have every right to be proud of him - and yourself. Way to go on your PB. *Clap*

The sun is actually out here today. It's cold, but at least it's pretty to look at. 🙂

Hi Karen and Clare

Clare - Did you manage to see your son run his marathon? Hope he (and you) had a good day.

Congratulations to all who ran.

Congratulations on your 22nd wedding anniversary, Cath, hope you both had a lovely day.
Did you get to see your son, Clare? A few friends went to watch the marathon yesterday, you must have been really proud of your son, it's a fabulous achievement.
Venice sounds wonderful, Helen. You've had a tough year, hope you have an amazing time.

Have a great day. Off to the London Marathon to see son today. Hope I have better luck of actually seeing him as I travelled over London like a lunatic last year but never got to see him.

Re: Anyone due to start their chemo July 2014

Hi Helen,

So glad to hear from you and sending you big hugs - clearing your dad's flat must have been tough.Heart

Don't apologise for not keeping up. I think it's fantastic that we're all too busy to post here every day. Well...except me. lol

I'd love to send you a link for my book - blatant promotion in action again 🙂 - Guessing Amazon would be best for you, yes? amzn.to/2nlu4WZ - A good read for a week in Venice?

So jealous, Venice is somewhere I've always wanted to visit. Take lots of photos, won't you?

As for my sis - She's not TN. (prob forget to say that D'oh!) I never had T, but I've heard it's tough. Not that I told my sis that- she's very easily freaked out. But thank you for your good wishes.

Does seem odd to have your mammo appt so soon after your hospital appointment. I'm almost jealous. Everyone else seems to have a ton of appts and all I have is a mammo once a year. *Shrug*

Part of me is glad to be free of the hospital visits, the other, worrywart side, wishes I could chat with someone every so often. Then, I guess, that's what I do with you ladies. 🙂

Enjoy your dinner with your friends - may you all laugh all night.

Today - yesterday now - was my 22nd wedding anniversary. Feel blessed to have reached it.

Hope all the July ladies are enjoying their weekend

Hugs

Re: Anyone due to start their chemo July 2014

Wow, look at all the posts. I've had to go back 2 pages to catch up. So happy to see everyone doing so well and enjoying life- go girls.

I have no excuse other than still clearing dads flat (finished at last), work, dog walking and gym, so haven't done a good job of keeping up recently.

Cathy can you send the link to your book again please, looks like I'm missing out on a good read and I'm bored of the one I'm half way through.

Just booked a week in Venice for June, will be the first time abroad since 2013 and so much has happened since then we are planning to make every second count!

Cath thinking of your sister. I went through the FEC-T forTN as well + rads. Do hope she comes through as well as I did.

Just got my mamo appt for May which is after hospital appt, doesn't make much sense to me but hay ho. I still have 6 month apps up to 5 years, looks like that's different for everyone.

Have a lovely weekend everyone in the sunshine - off to dinner with friends tonight should be a good night they always manage to keep me laughing all night.

Love to all Helen. Xx

Happy Easter everyone. I've been off chocolate for lent so fully intend to fall face first into an easter egg later. (Once my red wine head has passed!).

Cath, I've finished your book.  I've got to say I was worried to read it as you're such a nice person I didn't want it to be dissapointing. No need to worry as it was brilliant, kept me engaged right to the end, a proper page turner.  You should write for Broadchurch! Let us know when the next one is out.

Well done you, staying off chocolate for the whole of lent. (I was afraid to even try giving it up.)

Enjoy your well deserved choc-fest.

So glad you enjoyed the book, Sylvia. Phew! Always nervous when someone reads it in case they don't.

Going to push my luck and ask if you'd be willing to write a review for it on the site you bought it from? No pressure, if you don't fancy it, but it really would help the books ratings.

That should be end of treatment for me, Gill, other than letrozole for next 7 years or so!
Big hugs to your sister, Cath, is she having the same chemo as you?
Happy Easter, ladies, I'm looking forward to eating lots of chocolate
😊🍫

Karen - good luck on the 26th. Here's hoping your date isn't too far behind. I bet you can't wait to finish treatment.

My sister is having similar treatment - chemo and rads - but her chemo will be FEC-T, whereas mine was just FEC. (My immune system wasn't great after taking anti-TNF treatment.) Same amounts, though, so same time frame.

Oooh, don't mention chocolate. I had a choco-attack yesterday. (Yes, there is such a thing, and I take them on a regular basis. lol) Ate two huge bars of chocolate. Now I don't want to see chocolate for at least...a day.Smiley Tongue

Hi Gill,

Grandkids are definitely the best! Like you, I'm totally different with my granddaughter than I was with my kids. I can have fun with her, and leave all the strict parenting stuff to the parents. 🙂

A support group sounds good. Do you meet up often? I don't have anything like that here, the July ladies are my support group. Heart

A meetup still sounds good.

Hope work went well.

Clare - I'm sure you'll catch up with the others in no time.

Whoo-hoo for yearly appointments.

I only have yearly mammograms, no appointments at all. It's great to feel free from all those hospital visits.

My sister starts her chemo on the 24th - brings back a lot of memories. 😞

Hugs to all the July ladies

Hi Cath. Chose steel band as my friend encouraged me to join her group and I also love the sound. Having fun but have to catch up with the rest who started a month or 2 ago.

Gill yes that will be the end of procedures I hope . Also hope silicone implants behave themselves and outlasts me .lol.
My appointments are now yearly so counting down. 😉
I would certainly still love to meet up when ladies are ready.

Clare - going with a private company is a good idea. You want the very best.

Karen - good luck with your Recon nurse appointment. Are you hoping to go private, too?

Quick questions: Do they show you examples of NHS tatoos?

I'm guessing the standard varies from hospital to hospital?
