How should women be encouraged to seek help early for symptoms of breast cancer?

What is this study about?

We are a team of cancer researchers at the University of Surrey in Guildford, working on a project about promoting early presentation with breast cancer symptoms. We would like to run a couple of group discussions with women to get their views on an intervention we are designing at the moment to promote early recognition and help-seeking for breast cancer symptoms in Black African and Black Caribbean women.

Who can take part in this study?

We want to hear the views of Black African and Black Caribbean women, aged 25+, with or without a diagnosis of breast cancer.

How many people are needed?

We need at least 6 people to take part in one focus group, and will reward your time with a £25 Love2shop gift voucher!

How do I take part?

You just come along to a group meeting, lasting about 1 hour. We will discuss the content of an intervention to promote early help-seeking for breast cancer symptoms.
