Ha ha Mishy, that made me laugh, it’s all so true.
Good luck tomorrow with the bone scan, you’all be glad to get it over with. Will be thinking of you xx
You too treehouse, hope all goes well with your check up xx
So eldest daughter last night after dinner had mini meltdown that her A’level ball gown dress that she’s made wasn’t finished with all the hand sewn beading. So what do you do?! I can’t sew for toffee!
1 hour later I’m at it like a pro 😂😂😂 I know I shouldn’t have touched it but she needed her mum. So there were were till 02:20am sewing and guzzling tea till it got done.
Got back up to take them to school, came home, grabbed breakfast and crawled under my duvet 😴😴😴
Cant believe where the day has gone!
I tell everyone how it is when they assume it’s all done. 😁 I honestly believe people need educating that cancer is more than just chemo and more than having it removed surgically. They’re normally very surprised that there’s ongoing preventative meds to take daily, that there are heart scans and blood tests and mammograms and oncology and lymphoma appointments. In my opinion, if people know your still going through it, especially those at work, it may help you. xx
Completely get your frustration with the whole ‘glad to have you back’, ‘you must be glad it’s all over’ type comments. I’m not a violent person by any stretch but I’d quite like to punch them all on the nose.
How are you getting on with Cape?
My Tamoxifen makes night sweats a little more intense and I seem to shiver and get cold for longer periods of time than before taking it. Mild nausea but in the great scheme of things that’s ok.
Ive finally hit 6 weeks post op!! 😁 Can move about so much easier and sleep in any position I choose 😁
I’ve got my ‘fitness workout’ at the hospital in 2 weeks time with other DIEP ladies so it’ll be interesting!
Hope your keeping well 💕
I might have to steal that line of yours .... “Try 9 months of cancer treatment then come back to me!” for those people who whinge and moan far too readily about bugg** all 😂
Whats your news and how are you doing?
Ive still got oral thrush 😩 so will have to go back to Dr’s, seems my body is struggling to fight it.
wishing everyone a good week 💕
Treehouse - so sorry you’re having to go through this. Good news that your levels are coming down, hopefully they’ll get this sorted. Sometimes it does help to write everything down just to get all that “stuff” out of your head, hope you can get some rest now xx
Lovey I know your never far away and keep up together with our posts, just hope your able to let us help you if your struggling with any worries your carrying. A problem shared and all that .... 💕 keep in touch xx
You come across as though your positively beaming bless you when you mention your granddaughter - it’s so lovely 💕 xx
Your husband is a good un 😃 and it’s the 💩iest of moments in life that make you see how fortunate you are to have someone so wonderful by your side. I’d quite like your rollercoaster journey to end now, someone somewhere is taking the mick 😡 Just want you well, fit and healthy and have no worries 💕 Your a tough cookie as you’ve proven before, you’ll get through this next bit I’ve no doubt. Don’t worry about the tooth fairy bless you, it’s your little guardian angel that needs a kick up the butt😉😉 Big hugs xx
Tatyana & Rosie, blimey ladies seems there’s a little bit of planning involved with takings your tablets, as if you don’t have enough going on.
I only have to take x1 Tamoxifen daily at the same time each day (I go for the morning 10:00) and guess who hadn’t taken theirs by 2pm! 😬 My only side effect is mild nausea, but it’s there. Hoping my body gets used to the tiny white blighters and that the nausea subsides otherwise I’ll be attached to ginger indefinitely in one form or another.
Oh Treehouse what an absolute nightmare for you my lovely. But at least you have a fairytale of a prince in your wonderful hubby - what a knight in shining armour you have there. Wishing you a better day today - take lots of care x
Here's a big virtual hug sent from me for the both of you xx
Treehouse what a &£@&£ nightmare not surprised you have had enough hope they sort it out for you soon sending hugs xx
WhyteFawn - I hope the uncomfortable fluid soon finds it's own way to drain. I was advised to gently stroke the skin with a little E45 - from wrist towards elbow - then elbow towards armpit then very gently from collarbone down the torso - no rubbing or up and down movements. Each section x5 and remember one way gentle strokes. It certainly helped my fluid find it's own way without needing any drainage. x
