Evening ladies! 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🛎🛎🛎🛎🛎🛎💃🕺🏻💃🕺🏻💃I'm done yippee, wahoo, whoop whoop! Final rads session was delayed so didn't get home until 9pm. The last tune they played during rads was I feel good by James Brown and it finished just as they lowered the bed 😂🤣😂
Kitchen refit is ongoing as they've found some of the work tops were warped and so are having to order more, which due to the snow will take a while as they have a backlog due to stopping production for a week ☹️I'm really pleased with how it's looking though so can't wait for it to be finished.
Hope everyone has a nice day I still can't taste anything much, (2&bit days after last chemo-when do taste buds come back?!) so eating out is a bit of a waste! My girls and I are going to the cinema this pm instead and then tea with my dad xx
Morning lovely ladies and to those of you that are Mothers a big Happy Mothers Day to you 💖💖
Got my boys coming over to the pub today and my Mum, Dad and brother so that will be nice 😊
Hope you all have a lovely day 😘😘😘
Buddyfan, it's a little insensitive of the course to have that statement in there, although it looks like in scrubbing it out you found a solution to that particular problem 😂
Cassie, the hospital didn't supply me with cream but advised e45 and also had aveeno and aloe Vera (99.9%) on the list too. I think I had a reaction to aveeno during chemo when I got that chest rash so I've avoided that. I was a bit worried the e45 might do the same so that's why I also bought the aloe Vera. I'm glad I did as that really works for any itchy spots.
Buddyfan, as the others have said there is no need to apologise, this is a space where you can vent your worries, anger, frustrations and anything else you choose. We are here for you and it sounds like your mil is too, she sounds like she will be there to support you as and when you need it too. I know what it's like I moved here to be with OH nearly 10 years ago and whilst I have a few friends it's been hard especially since diagnosis and being away from my family. I think you are doing amazingly well I have no idea how I would cope with what you're dealing with. My friend bought me a thankful journal for Xmas and I have been trying to use it but find it difficult 😕 At least on 22 March we can both be thankful for our meet up 😊Sending you ❤️ and 🤗
Buddy please don’t apologise for having a vent....that is why we are all on this forum so we can air our concerns and try and help each other thru the low points! I’m glad you talked to your mil...she does sound a lovely lady and I’m sure will be great support for you 😘😘
im feeling very tired today....had a late night last night....was chatting to OH TIL the early hours and getting off my chest (excuse the pun!) how he had made me feel earlier in the week! Hopefully I can put that behind me now!!
Really fancy going out for an Indian tonight....trying to persuade OH, trouble is we ha e staff in this eve that he’s not too keen leaving!!
Hope ur all enjoying your Saturday
Dear Buddy, sending you a big virtual hug and please don't apologise for having a bit of a vent, that's what this forum is for x
It must be very difficult for you not having close friends nearby to talk to. It's a shame your friend started the conversation the way she did, otherwise you might have been able to open up to her. I'm glad you were able to confide in your MIL, it sounds like she is a good person to chat to and to be able to have a cry with if you need to.
Yes, we all need to enjoy life and appreciate each day, but it is easier said than done at times. I'm so sorry you've found yourself with secondaries Buddy, I think you're handling it much better than I would. It's 'good' (not the right word, but hopefully you know what I mean) that the bone mets are slow growing and more treatments are being discovered all the time, which hopefully will help you xx
Just to let you know Sue is ok, she's part of our Fitbit group so I've heard from her. Not sure why she's not been on the forum though.
Jencat, I've just got one more booster to go. My nipple and part of my boob was very sensitive after about 4-5 sessions (almost felt like chaffing) and like Shi I used a silk scarf I had and tucked it in my vest. I've not worn a bra since starting rads I try to wear loose tops or a normal cotton vest. I've also been slapping the cream on using e45 morning and night before bed, aloe Vera lunchtime and moo goo about an hour after rads and I also try and air it as much as possible. Showering I've not used any products on my boob or armpit, they suggested letting tepid water run over it and that's what I've done. I can see the area they've treated as it's now lightly tanned and I have a tiny itchy bit and rash just under my collarbone but other than that skin looks good at the moment. I find the aloe Vera helps best with the itching and rash but they've also given me some hydrocortisone cream.
I'm off to town today to get some cards and 🎁 as I'm down to see my family Thursday and Friday next week I can't wait 😊
Loving the theme tune today Shi 💃🕺🏻💃🕺🏻💃🕺🏻🕺🏻💃
Hope Sue is ok Shi, it's not like her not to be on the forum. How are you doing after your 2nd (?) week of rads? xx
Definitely a circle to dance in but I never used a handbag until I got old! 💃🕺🏻💃🕺🏻💃🕺🏻💃No music for me today in rads ☹️
Runnerbean that's another ✅ off for you! Hoorah no more jabs.
Shi, how're you getting on with yours, how's your arm now? Mine is slowly recovering I think although still feels a bit tight when I twist my arm🙁
Buddyfan, Karen, I've managed to get 22March off, wahoo so we're good to go!
How's everyone else doing?
Thank you Meesh x Got genetics meeting on 14th and first meeting about rads on 16th, so getting there! x
Oh also meant to say happy international women's day to all of you, you are the 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻Ladies I know! 😊
