Hi @amy46
will do that Thankyou. I couldn’t see how to post on there without jumping on someone else’s thread?. Glad to hear it’s so far so good for you! Ports and pics haven’t been mentioned to me, but I also heard that cannula is ok for paclitaxel. Is Carboplatin targeted therapy? It’s the herceptin I’m more worried about side effects wise as I already have joint pain. It’s always the fear of the unknown that is probably worse than the actual treatment. Fingers crossed for a smooth ride for us all

Hi @aliess
why don’t you join our September thread? I’m on weekly Paclitaxol with Carboplatin every third time. I’ve had two cycles so far. I was ok with the first one when I had both drugs, no sickness just felt a bit odd and fluey sometimes and I’d say probably better the second week although I’m only day 3 post chemo. It must have been tough finding out you needed chemo, they told me I would from the very start. Are you having a port or a picc line or sticking with a cannula? I think Paclitaxol is ok for a cannula so maybe you won’t need one x
Hi Ladies
i’m just gearing up to start weekly paclitaxel and herceptin. I had a local excision on a 25mm lump in June. Tests came back 9mm was invasive no lymph involvement and clear margins but HER2+ It was devastating news as I had banked on just radiotherapy and hormone treatment. Harder because it’s so borderline size wise but I guess you don’t know what pesky cells are left lying around. I’d rather take it now and know I’ve done everything I can to prevent recurrence. Decided against cold capping as it’s a bit much once a week.

we can do this! 💪🏻
