Hi Ladies, has anyone had any nose bleeds during chemo, i had a random nose bleed yesterday and i’ve never had a nose bleed in my life before, scared me, i’ve had a slight bleed today but not running out of my nose like yesterday, i told the chemo team and they just said keep an eye on it and if it happens again then phone them back, i’m due to have my next chemo tomorrow and i’m freaking out about it, what other random effects could i get, back to being scared again now.
@eeyore58 I had nosebleeds during chemo. I was told to wrap up a bag of frozen veg in a tea towel and gentle hold across bridge of nose to help stop them. It worked for me.
Yes! I had a nose bleed yesterday, never had one before, it freaked me out. If I have another I’ll be calling the team. I’m on docetaxel and it’s awful!

yep, weirdly me too. Never had them in my life. But we’re not alone, I met a specialist nurse at the hospital who had breast cancer 10 years old and she said, in her words she had a grotty nose for months. Like her mine are in the middle of the night and because I don’t have any nasal hair (or any hair for that matter) I don’t know that it’s happening until its too late. Steaming helps some, but definitely a good mouthwash to get rid of the taste and plenty of tissues. Let us know if you have been given any tips or advice - this is one of those side effects that drives me crazy xx
