Hi. I had to have my Picc line removed when I was in hospital a month ago. After it was removed I noticed there was a lump under the skin where Picc line was inserted. Well over the pas 4/5 weeks the lump is decreasing but the wound has not healed properly. It looks like a crater with a hole in the middle and there is clearish thin liquid coming from this which is stopping the wound creating a scab and healing. I have mentioned this to my gp who doesn’t seem concerned as there is no redness on the skin surrounding it or pus coming from it. I am assuming the lump is decreasing as more of the clear fluid is coming out… but 4/5 weeks seems a long time and still not healed. Has anyone else had this problem. It also does itch on and off.
