Hi Trixie
Sorry for late reply. I've not been on the forum for a little while. Been down in the dumps and fretting about things. But starting to feel better now. I didn't go ahead with the cold cap. My hair lasted until just before chemo 3. Its been shaved for almost 3 weeks now but I have a fair covering slowly growing through. I'm guessing this may still go with remaining 3 chemos.
Chemo-wise I'm on 6 x FEC. Other than slight nausea at the beginning, constipation for first few days (made better by Laxidol) and fatigue I'm doing ok. My neutrophils keep being too low though and keep having chemo postponed by a week. Started Filgrastrim injections after chemo 2. They did raise neutrophils slightly but not enough to stop chemo being postponed. Side effects wise I seem to have done ok with those as well. Had some back ache and palpitations with first lot.
What chemo are you on and hows it going? xx

Hi
I'm not expecting much of a response to this as I've been trawling forums and the interweb in general and can't find anyone who has done this...but here goes...
I'm on 6 x FEC. Had first on 11th dec. Didn't use cold cap as I was too distressed in general. Since then I've done more research and read that using cold cap can help your hair grow back faster after chemo. I haven't had any hair loss as yet but I know thats to come even if I were to start using cold cap on 2nd chemo (31st Dec). But I just wondered if anyone out there had started using cold cap on second chemo and felt that their hair had grown back quicker after chemo?
I've also emailed Paxman cold caps to ask for their thoughts...so if anyone is interested I can let you know response
