bit of advice really… in 2017 i had WLE and 3 sentinel lymph nodes taken followed by 15 radiotherapy sessions for Triple Negative bc.
now 2019 and in February had recall from my second mammogram.
2 lumps, one 2cms the other 6 cms. TNBC again…
had left mastectomy and level 1 axilliary nodes removed. Nodes were clear…
seeing Chemo dr next monday the 20th May re further treatment …chemo has been mentioned.
should i ask about the Oncotype Test ??? To see if chemo would be of benefit for me ??
Hi Minimad with regard to Oncotype test I believe they will only do the test if your bc is ER positive . Mine was ER 8/8 and the oncotype came back as 22 so I opted not to have chemo but had 15 sessions of radiotherapy and 5 boost sessions. For the oncotype test you need to be ER positive, node negative and HER2 negative. My score was 40 hence chemo.
