Re: Biotin, melatonin and other supplements

Recommend the Rainbow Diet book on this subject, if you don't already have it. (Answer would be yes it's fine to keep taking supplements). Had same question during radiotherapy and the clinical team had no idea.

Biotin, melatonin and other supplements

Hi everyone

I am due to undergo my 2nd cycle of 8 chemotherapy treatments and trying my best to keep myself at optimum health to protect my body and get through this. I have been taking collagen an biotin supplements for the last couple of years with excellent results for my hair, skin, nails and joints. However I’ve been told that it’s best to stop them as they could prevent the chemotherapy from doing the job of killing the nasty cancer cells. Does anyone else have any advice or knowledge on this please? I also take zinc, Vitamin D and occasionally melatonin.
thank you
