Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

Jill, have you a 'borrow my doggy' branch in your area.....much cheaper to join than getting a dog walker and you'd end up with someone who would love to have their own dog, but can't....

You hit the nail right on the head, a month ago you would not have even been able to contemplate any of it.

You are not a moaner just a lady who is trying very hard to move forward and you will get there my dear xxx

Dont worry I will keep reminding you 🙂 🙂

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

Yes - you are right Helena and a month ago I wouldn't even have attempted these things.I just woulc have liked to be less reliant on others by the time my son went back to Uni and I haven't really got to that point .Physical health stuff is not helping I'm afraid .Sorry for being a moaner -keep reminding me of the good stuff!!!

Well  I have just looked back and I dont know if you realise but you have managed to do all this in a week:

New years eve out to lunch

Short walk and drive

Took son to library and drove back

Got to your therapist and drove on your own

Lunch out with sun and a short drive

Drove to dads and went out to lunch

50 minute drive round your local area, which I think is the longest you have done so far

Pretty good going for a week I would say 🙂 🙂

Oh you will have to let me know how you get on.  You can freeze them as well once they are cooked and then just reheat in the oven or microwave.

I have got a beef casserole in the slow cooker, a lamb stew in the stockpot and a lamb marinading in spices for me to cook tomorrow.  That should see us for another 4/6 weeks.  I also got some diced venison as I saw Mary Berry doing a venison cottage pie yesterday and thought I would give it a try.

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

H Ann,yes not very helpful -same friend has said a number of times, just go back to the doctors and ask for more tablets ... even GP doesn't think tablets are the best option for anxiety in the longer-term .Think people are just getting bored of me not being ok - yes me too !!'

Not sure but I would check with your onc or GP first, there is something in the back of my mind that I might have read if you are taking antidepressants you cant, but honestly I am not sure.

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

Hi Belle, don’t quote me on it, but I think I have read somewhere it’s not recommended, so worth a google or two or maybe one of the other ladies can confirm or not.

Well, that was helpful - Not 🙄, from your friend, Jill - if only it was that simple! Anyway, it’s good you’ve managed to get out at least.

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

Hi Belle ,feel like saying the F word quite a lot today as anxiety not too bad but physically I'm **bleep** so can't take advantage of it and when ME symptoms are worse usually I feel quite low and tearful too .Got to catch a break with health stuff soon.Re black kohosh ,I looked into it and I think her jury's out on that one some studies said it was ok to take others didn't.You could ask in the "Ask the nurses " section what their view is .

Hello Jill,

Oh gosh.....what a friend!! Most likely, your friend doesn’t know or understand what you are facing and going through!!! If there’s magic pills, please do get some for me too.....😜😜😜

Maybe using Moijan’s swear word day will help too.....😜😜😜

Good to hear that you are better. Don’t worry too much about walking the dog, maybe when the time comes, you will manage!

Have a lovely Sunday.

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

Hi all , just wanted a little rant .Just had text from a friend which said that I should "go to the doctors for pills, as this has gone on too long now " .... oh if only it were that simple luv - I will book my appointment tomorrow for my magic pills.Had a better day with anxiety yesterday managed trip to see my Dad and went out for lunch without too much anxiety -apart from before we set off -was quite pleased about that.Unfortunately physically feeling pretty bad with ME symptoms and this is really hampering me doing more .Having to try and make arrangements for dog again after so goes back to Uni ,had hoped I would be well enough to walk him again myself by now . Hate asking for favours think will have to look at paying dog walker 🙁

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

Well ladies, I was thinking you'd all gone to bed already(I must admit..I'm quite tempted myself) remember I'm on an oestrogen blocker myself now which I pray is working, but I think is making my have sleepless nights and I get tired.

i did kick myself up the backside this pm and walked down the hill to town

(only about 1/4 mile but better than lazing about) I had a large soya decaf latte and really enjoyed that, feels good to get out and mix with apparently normal people...I say that because a guy was shouting to me from the other side of the main road! I ignored him, but in the dusk, it's a little disquieting.

if you are all in bed or noshing and I miss you, do have a really deep sleep tonight and feel refreshed in the morning...(maybe ready to start on Helena's recipe)

love and hugs,moijan🤗💚💚💚

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

That’s awesome, Moijan.

Initially, Jill recommended the oral magnesium supplements, which I take one tablet, twice a day. Next found out about the magnesium oil, so added on!

For bone pains, am taking turmeric / Curcumin and found that it reduced the level of pain.

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

Jill, the magnesium can’t be worn out......Have read that we have to continuously apply for at least 6 months. Some people even put 2 or 3 sprays in their drinks but I didnt do that! Think that our situation was worse prior the magnesium era.....

For experiment sake, I did not apply on some nights and my sleep went back to about 2 hours ......

It is boring having long-term illness to deal with and men get bored easily as you say Mine was great in aftermath of both cancer diagnoses but soon ran out of patience when recovery was not straightforward.

Hello Jill,

One of the thing My OH always say is that i have to be positive and not indulge in myself!!!! As if I want to indulge in having anxiety, hot flushes, palpitations, etc, etc, etc.....

Although he meant well, sometimes his remarks sets off my stress and anxiety at having to explain myself...

Did your sleep improve last night?

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

Hello Moijan,

Yes, absolutely dreadful not getting enough sleep. It’s a catalyst for a host of other issues!!! Arrrrggghhhhh

Jill can second that!!!

i too had MRI done for almost all parts including my brains. The worse part is waiting for the results. Hopefully, All will be alright with yours!

Hopefully your OH is not stressing you out ......otherwise, try having a cuppa chamomile tea to soothe the nerves ....😜😜😜

Love your idea of the ‘F’ swear word day. WTF......where’s the food 🤪

Take good care and wishing you great sleep.

Sounds like a good plan Moijan - as today is Friday think I am going to use the F word a lot .☹️OH has started the day off well by staying " this has being going on for too long " - my anxiety /sleep issues etc , well if I could find anyway to make it go away quicker I would ,thanks for that helpful comment ...

Re: Need Hug or Kick up the Backside

Isn't it dreadful when we can't sleep...have found three earplugs now so that might help

(I might shove one up my nose as well lol}

on another thread, when we were all getting a little low,  I organised a swear day.....I was chatting with a friend this am and we both agreed that the ' f 'word -  (short for Friday! )is very satisfying to shout when things are going wrong...a great release of energy...but we can't use that word on here. The mods would frown severely at us!

Sleep wellx
