Hello ladies, very quiet on the thread just now...hope everyone is ok?
M🤗😘
Hey Jill girl
What? You mean to say you didn't go out last time the cleaners were in. Hold on, isn't there some kind of naughty or weird reference to "having the cleaners in". Struck some kinda chord with me - mmm yeh in that case, probably something naughty or dodgy somehow!! Lock all your precious items up and come have a sneaky Sloe gin with me . Let 'em get on with it
I love the Lakes. used to go up 2-3 times a year for strenuous fell walking breaks with my then partner. Plus a number of wonderful Xmas's with my Mum, after we lost Dad 2003, to be amongst good company in a beautiful situation. Stayed at the Keswick Hotel, 6 Xmas' on the trot. Was amazing value in those days, considering fantastic food, staff, service. Became like a home from home. Well worn, relaxed, comfey, nothing posh, totally unpretentious. Good entertainment too. Our intro was me taking Mum for a Mothers Day lunch first. Totally fell in love with the place and booked for Xmas there and then (yeh, had their brochures out for already from the end of that March). Awww, so spesh, lovely memories. Don't know what their costs are like now tho', as they were gradually refurbing out the "well worn-ness". Go and have lunch there with hubby sometime Jill. Lovely dining room, as well as all of the above plusses. Used to also have the loveliest Manageress - Stephanie. Also went up with my girlfriend to celebrate my 50th, the last Stephanie saw of me. I sadly haven't been up to the Lakes since I split with said partner, and then went into the Delly Doldrums. Not because of, but other probs. Didn't help tho'.
Fancy being able to look at the lakeland fells from your house! Am I right remembering that? Am now wondering if it was you who stated you had a liking for Sloe gin? Am I right there too?!!
For some reason, I've had a better day today. Just wish I knew why, I could then maybe catch it and pocket it for future uses. Still need to get them there Melatonin tabs, Jill. Look at the time! I didn't have any sleep last night, that's now the night beFORE, and I'm still up. Gonna crash soon - I hope.
Where's that Belle Belle. You okay flower, if you're looking in
Nitey Nite lovelies.
Lotsa love to all of youhoos, DellyWellyDooDaah xxxxxxxx
Jill, I have good days and bad days. It's still a challenge! Went on a fatigue management course, which was fine, but mainly common sense. Still waiting for my individual assessment, which should be next month some time. Xx
Jill
Its my pleasure xxx
Well this was day 2 and I had a priority lined up for sorting the bedroom, but oh suggested something else and distracted me...so bedroom still a tip...side effects usually kick in on day 3, hoping not too bad this week. Myperipheral neuropathy was very sore till day before chemo...not too bad just now prob due to the steroids.. but we’ll see how it goes,

Welllllll I have spent the day in the garden and I can actually see the plants rather than all the weeds ) 🙂 about as exciting as it gets for me at the moment, but I am so pleased to report that Colin has spent the last two days sitting on the patio which is fabulous. xxx
So laDIES, WOTS NEW AND EXCITING TODAY PLEASE
Hello Jill,
Yeh - 5 HTP. That's what 'I'valso tried for a while. And yeh, at night, as isn't just to help produce Serotonin, but Melatonin as well (me badly need ). Isn't it weird then, how it can help you, and didn't me. Exacerbated my sleep, in fact. However - I'm so flippin glad for "you"!!!! As said, I've yet to try an actual Melatonin supplement, as oppo something that helps increase Melatonin production. My reason being the above ref 5 HTP, plus if you don't have the adequate bodily building blocks to produce Melatonin, then better to just try put it in in there in the first place. As you would extra Vit C, A or D, if that makes sense. Another however with me being, . . . due to my Bi-P, it takes me bloomin ages to get round to just doing ANYthing about ANYthing. then if/when do, it's often difficult to maintain it or owt! Have very occasional, very brief and short lived positive bursts. Hey Hooooo.
Glad you're feeling a bit better, flower. xxx
How's you Belle???
Love to all of youhoos
Doolally xxxxxxxxxxx
Hi lovelies,
Haven't caught up on all the thread since my last visit,. But noticed 5HTP being mentioned recently.
It's only my own personal experience of, and am very interested to anyone elses. It's a supplement to hopefully "create" Melatonin production "from it", as oppo a direct melatonin supplement, if that makes sense. I've tried it, but it failed with me. Actually kept me "awake"!! Doesn't mean it'd be the same with you. I've tried sooo many natural sleep aids now. The ONLY one I haven't yet tried is "Melatonin" itself.
Shall send this, then catch up further on you all.
Much love to you all xxxxxxx
glad it didn’t...very apt word....sums up things perfectlyxx
Moijan
