If I were your age and in your situation I would feel totally different about taking it - age and situation is so important with these sort of choices.
I misremembered my numbers which are actually 2/4/5% at 5/10/15 years, but my conclusion is the same. I'm 68 now, widowed with no family, and my interest in living into my 80s is about zero. That conclusion could be totally different for someone in a different situation in life and I completely understand that.
I did the numbers myself and the improvement was 1/2/3 % at 5/10/15 years so, if I have much in the way of side effects, I think it unlikely I'll carry on.
