Hello Gorgeouslies,

WifeySue - Are you fixing me up on a date with Ann-m?? Ann-m are you fixing me up on a date with Sue?? Or are we all just "friends", which is also good, because I have Beths hubby as a measuring stick for ANY future partners, and to be honest, I don't think EITHER of you would match up. So nerrrr nerrrr anyWAY. Smiley Tongue and raspberries! Don't care! Hey - it may do wonders for your bedroom life,  "Ooooh, lets go look at the bedroom stars together"!! Oooooo - am havin a hot flush. Nuther slapped wrist. Hey on you girl for another one ticked off today - keep on with the slog!! Poor girls, I didn't have any of rads or chemo to go through. Clair, will be thinking of you tomorrow, don't forget to set the alarm clock.  Get the first day out of the way and it will be as if youve never been away xx. Helena, just read my post from earlier, didnt mean to say tossed off, meant to say crossed off, Honest.

Just eaten the Christmas pudding at last, so that's it, all unhealthy stuff gone.  Nothing in the house but fish, salad,  veggies and fruit (vino is made from fruit) Xx

Dizzy, if Fitbit is playing up in anyway, put it in the charger thingy and you will see a hole, uncurl a paper clip and stick it in the hole for few seconds. That usually sorts out any glitches.  If not  email them and they will help xx

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Hi All!

Happy New Year to you all - so many posts to catch up on.

What have I started with the 'starry' projector, lol .........

If anyone should ask - I would love to be the crazy chicken on that picture a few pages back!

Great to see the snow drops, too - yes spring will eventually be on the way - and it will be much welcome.

Hoping all are well and will keep popping into the thread - trying to do some 'work' as energy levels are very slowly returning. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Looking forward to spend some time with Delly down here. She is also accomanying me to my mammogram.

It will actually be the first time I have anyone with me during all of this - so it might feel a bit strange, but is so welcome.

I have not been driving too far from home, as it still worries me, due to the fatigue, which can be so unpredictable.

My first longer journey will be on the 17th of this month to a photo shoot, which has been arranged by Breast Cancer Care in London. It will be a good gauge to see how well I am doing. I shall be driving up to London, rather than take the train. If fatigue hits, I'd rather be in my car than on public transport!

Ann-m - if you are up for it - perhaps you, Delly and I could meet up down here, whilst Delly is here?

PM me.......

Hugs

Sue xx

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

I'm all in a tizz about tomorrow, yes it'll be nice to go back and I've wanted to for a long time but I'm a bit scared. Silly isn't it. I'm only in for 3 hours and then again Friday so I get a days break inbetween. Next is everyday but only 1/2 days.
I've got to get up early!!!!
It's such a weird feeling as it means I'm moving on. Am I ready I just don't know.
Blimey how silly is this.
Right I need to pull myself together.
Helena I'm pinching your idea for the car I had to de ice inside and out.
Adele your back. Massive big and tight hug coming your way. Lots of love and hugs everyone xxxxxxxx

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Delly, we missed you yesterday, and I've sent you yesterday's hug as well as one for today.

Beth, how did you programme your Fitbit to tell you if you haven't moved in an hour? That is just what I need, I can sit down with the Scrabble app or my Kindle and not move for a couple of hours without knowing. I am so not one of these people who can't sit still for more than ten minutes. And if Daisy is curled up asleep on my lap, it's so easy to think it's a shame to disturb her. And the tablet or the Kindle rest so easily on her back...!

I thought I'd broken my Fitbit, I left it plugged in on charge when I went into hospital for the first operation, and forgot all about it for four months. Then when I went to use it, it wouldn't restart. But Mike cleaned up the contacts and charged it again and it was fine, except now it's refusing to synch. If it really won't, I'll get another, because I was so motivated last year to get my ten thousand steps in, and it's interesting to check your data if you go for a good walk somewhere.

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Flipping heck Clair, that's a bit quick, but if you feel up to it then I suppose you might as well get on with it.  Just make sure you ease yourself back in gently. Xx

Beth, I've got a fitbit, Had it for two years now.  They're great as it really encourages you to keep going, especially once you start earning badges, you just want to get the next one.

Went for my acupuncture today, no pricks in the ear this time but she stuck some in my shoulders, arms and hands, wow I put my shirt and jacket on after with hardly any pain.  I know it will only lived but it's brilliant the magic those little needles can wield.

Why I was out Himself took delivery of my starry night projector.  We've just tried it out, in daylight with the curtains closed, and WOW! Even he was thrilled with it, can't wait for tonight when it's dark.  Big thank you Sue for telling us about it.

Helena hope today's frying is done and dusted, another one. Tossed off the list.

So, now Lily has been captured Have we got to send out the troups for Adele aka Delly?  Maybe she sneaked out of the cat flap with Rubycat and they're off having fun without us xx

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Awwww, piccies of "snowdrops" and hugging cats (how flippin gorgeous is that) - my hearts already  M e l t i  i  n  g   before I even get to all you  to melt it even further.

And that's even before I see and read anything of you all.  Am fine thank you, just had a day off.

BUT it was MY hug day, you know. NOBODY sent ME a HUG !!!!!!!!! But . . . . because I love you all so much, I'll let you off.

Yeh, had the most stunning sunny day here too yesterday. Think we could get through Winter that much easier if every day were like it all the time.

DarlinDizzy - me thinks you're a bit of a druid babe!! Jumping naked over flames and all that.

Luscious - Awwww, I love snowdrops so much - they remind me of my Mum. Heather does the same - it was her name - beeautiful name - beeautiful woman. Had the most amazing smile and was remembered for it. How wonderful is that. Have gone all teary!! Lush - me thinks your very much a lush with your talk of "needle punctures" i.e. ??

Pollp - you can chip in anytime darlin. As can anyone - You hear out there in the E T H E R.

Everyone's so loving and friendly in here - cosy and cwtchy. Like a pair of loving arms.

Yeh, I'm feeling a West meet up may be best. I can always pop down and pick up SweetSue, might even proposition her to come hold my hand whist I scatter fams ashes at Salcombe. Such an impressive woman, tell ya.

CorrrClair - Good luck for tommorrow. Thanks so much for that beeeautiful piccie and loving tears produced.

BethyBoo - I'm the goat, goes with my star sign of this month. Such exceptional peeps we Cappies, just oh so slightly eccentric . . . mmmm!! Soz Clair. And what was that WORD you said? B R A!!  Ha Ha Ha.

JuicyJaney - Oooooo, I've missed you sooooo much. glad your up and about. Yeh, I think Exeter based meet up is poss an excellent idea - pretty central rail and road wise. Can I hire your camper for a week?? No seriously. Leave my car at yours? Don't feel anxious - you'll fall back in soon, I'm sure of it. It's like first day at school nerves, I guess

Marydan - Lovey, hope all goes well for you this week with appointments and work eebigeebies. Please keep popping in cos I get bored with the usuals on here !! Ha ha heeoooouuuummm, somebody just kicked me! Stop it Charys. Oh no, it's Janey. Ahhh no it's Sue . . . . they're ALL giving me a kick . . . up the backside proverbials. To keep me on track with my NY rezzers!!

Lily - Lovely. Happy New Year sweetheart. Sooo good to see and hear ya.

Lorac - where abouts in scotland, bonnie lassie?? and what piccie? Have I missed summat (thats Lancs/Yorkshire talk btw) Oh, got it now. Ooooo flip - I soooo need a cat again. feel like I've lost a leg and a chunk of my heart!! mmmm more teariness.

Prob see you laters girlies

Loadsa loveydovey   Adele xxxxxxxx  <<< bit weird seeing and using actual name. Keeps catchin me out - who's that                                                             weird sounding woman.

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Morning all

what a freezing day here in west wales! Deck is like a skating rink still so we've banned the dog from the back garden as he keeps falling over. Funny to see but not when he broke his knee couple of years ago bless.

You're back work tomorrow Clair?!!!! Wowwwww. I'm so impressed as the thought of it still scares me somewhat as I still get really tired. I'm going back on the 22nd January - that's the plan anyway! Omg.

Helena - how was today's zapping? Getting there slowly love. When you get to half way, you can really start to count them down!

anyone heard from Adele? Noticeably quiet which isn't like her at all. Worried here.

Dizzy & janey - how are you doing this week? I've bought myself a Fitbit which reminds me if I've not moved in a hour. Omg certainly a prompt to get moving again. Going to try a bra today to see if I can get out and do some walking without it hurting too much. Fingers crossed as I'm worse than a sloth at the mo.

Lorac - loved the cat pic!! So cute!!

so off to the sols today to sign wills and POA, it'll be an important job done finally.

catch u all later

xxx

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Hello all my friends, hope you are all well.

We took the Christmas tree/decs down today as hubbie back to work tomorrow and I am returning to work on Thursday.

Kinda getting nervous as not been back since the summer hols when this unwelcome visitor came along.

I am worried as during this time I had my first ever relapse since my diagnosis with multiple sclerosis.

I am so so much better now but feel quite jittery and am so scared that work will not deem me as being fit.

I have my g.p wed to get my back to work form and hopefully all will be fine.

I really lovemy work, pupil support in a prmary school.

I have my m.s nurse to see on Thursday afternoon and feel when that is done and my first day back is over then I will feel more positive.

Gosh its been a journey and a half and I hope 2017 is much better for one and all.xx Mary

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Janey, do you have a date for returning to work? I need to start keeping a list or a biography for everyone, it's getting hard to keep track.

It must be difficult thinking about going back to work, I remember being really stressed about it after being on maternity leave, it just becomes this big thing in your mind. So I can imagine it starts to loom over you when you know it'll happen soon.

My sister has the genetic counselling appointment in Exeter tomorrow, isn't yours soon?

Evening all! Just about out of my bug fug and made the most of a glorious day for a walk along Exeter Quay - I should have taken another shadow picture but didn't 😩Meet ups sound lovely, although I am going to have to focus on meeting work head on first. I'm beginning to get quite anxious if I'm honest. Hoping I shall benefit from private acupuncture session this week. Clair I hope you are feeling less uncomfortable. I have found getting GP appointments a lot easier when I mention Cancer!
I hope you've all had glorious days in all parts of the country. Big hugs xx

Clair

We have been to Old Wardour, but quite long time ago, maybe before we moved down here. We're not members of English Heritage any more, but when we were we did the tour of all the historic remains. I liked Old Sarum and Sherbourne Old Castle.

Our latest find has been the Historic Houses  association, it covers most of the places which aren't National Trust, and also Abbotsbury Gardens, I think we get our money's worth each year just going to the Gardens. They floodlight them every October, it's quite spectacular. But they're very expensive if you have to pay each time.

Lesley that picture is so cute and true 🙂 xxx

Polly your always welcome to pop in and chat whenever you can xx I remember doing a bit of stalking for a while before I took the plunge.
I remember someone saying that things look brighter and more alive since going through a tough ordeal and it's so true, I see every little detail now and marvel in the beauty of life those snowdrops are a sign of regrowth and better days for me. I'm so glad you like it too. Xxxx Dizzy that's a fab idea.

Love the kittens, they're so cute! And yes, we got here, by hook or by crook, battered and bruised but mostly still in one piece.

Clair, you and I go to all the same places, it's weird to see you sending pictures from all the places we go to.

Perhaps we should have a West country meet up, Janey and Rubycat are both fairly close, possibly even Lily depending on where in Cornwall she is.

And still no sign of Lily, hope she's okay.

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Clair what a beautiful sight.  Mine are just poking through the soil at the moment.  Glorious day here too, though haven't poked my head outside except to chuck stuff in the wheelie bin.  More paperwork sorted, wills still not surfaced, and no Delly pretty sure I didn't make paper mache of them.  On the green fingered bit, a friend bought me a beautiful blue orchid a few days before my op early June, it flowered until end of September.  I cut the empty stems off and it's had lots of new leaves, now it's grown a new shoot and it's covered in buds, Im thrilled as usually I never keep anything alive.

First of my three once a month acupuncture top ups tomorrow morning.  They haven't helped hot flushes or headaches, however I do enjoy having the pricks, it's very soothing xx

It was so lovely to see them Helena it was just one little clump that had poked through . We're going to go back in a few weeks to see the full effect .

We've been to Knowlton several times it's beautiful in the summer especially when the fields are covered in the yellow crops they grow .

Have you been to old Wardour Castle that's a beautiful ruin with the most relaxing atmosphere . Xxx

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Those are lovely Clair. I must take a photo of the daffodils I saw.

It's a beautiful sunny day here, specially since yesterday was so gloomy. We went to Knowlton this morning, a place I've only seen photos of and always meant to visit. It's a prehistoric circle of ramparts and a ditch, with the ruins of an old church in the middle. I think it's the only church to have been built inside a henge.

Anyway, I love visiting places like that, so got my quick fix of history while the sun shines.

Re: Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Hello Lovely Fluffies,

Got to be strict and shut computer after this + have had Valerian shot too, so if it starts to fade a w  a   y . . .z  z  z  z Only joking.

Beth - I'm the opposite, I go off my food when I'm stressed or upset + don't have a sweet tooth (except for good ice cream), so annoyingly, and unlike most, I'm having to put weight on. Had the other 1/2 of last nights quiche + sal again. Plus 1/2 tub of HD pralines and cream ice cream!!! - um yom yom Smiley Tongue

Lesley - Have you tried looking in the washing up water for your Wills !! Ha ha - so droll.

Janey - how are you?? Sending another warm, gentle hug with a hot toddy  Heart

Gawd - You're all gonna be turning into budding Patrick Moore's with all these starry ceilings, with turned up collars and a slighly squinty eye !! (for those of you who remember).

Did anyone else Dawn French NY Eve - was brilliant. What a talented woman. It was quite illuminating, about some really tough difficult life experiences and a loads of humour thrown in.

Been mulling more on where to meet?. Got to be easily accessible by road and train. So far we stretch as far West as Cornwall, then Exeter, over to Brighton in the East. Up to Brummieland. Exeter's a well served station from all parts. I'll have a look on a map. Anyone any suggestions, or are you all ignoring me?  Smiley Tongue

Lorac, Ann-n and Marydan - what parts of the country are you??

Love to Everybody, Adele xxxxxx
