Charys - you deserve it! xxx
Helena, these are the biggest I could find, so there will be plenty of room for all your fan club. Rooting and tooting for you, hugs, cuddles, noisy singing, with you all day tomorrow.
xxx
Lee, good news about brain and bones being clear, will be sending love and positive vibes your way on 24th when you have those pesky nodes removed. Let us know when you’re home, we’ll be right by your side virtually if not physically xx
Charys, I can’t work it out either but sure you must be 10,000, it’s only right and proper, so just suck it up, take a bow and wear your crown with pride xx
Well, yours below says 11 on my screen ?! With this one now 12
Janey is 12 of 10,012....soooo......
Arrrghhhhh, I don;t get this, someone sort out the block in my brain.
Charys
Well and truley bestowed on you
Honesly if you count forward from your post this morning at 11.25 as the 10,000th, this one I am doing now if 10,010 xx
I'm still not getting it......see this one here says I am 1 of 10,010 posts, so that makes my original message 10,001 ?.....but ok, if you tell me so...then I happily accept the honour. I must be being thick in some way here, as I've not understood this before.
Hiya fluffies
Yep Charys you were definitely the 10,000th post and so befitting that you were because without you starting this thread we would not have all come a far as we have and had the most amazing support from the wonderful fluffies on here.
Sorry I have not been on but I was bowling last night, and I am literally about to go off to bowl in a league match tonight so wont be back til late.
Jill I am hoping that they will tell me something tomorrow, I really need the big pants on, so scared that they are going to find something ominous 😞
I promise I will let you all know tomorrow when I get back.
Oh I just noticed as well that we have turned on to 501 pages to this thread as well.
xxxx
NOooo it was you, I've counted back.
N0, you were 10,000 I was 10,001. That's fine, I can live with that.
Seriously....that is absolutely bizzarre !!! I had no idea it was going to be post 10,001...actually...did I make 10,000? I think it was the person before me wasn't it? Either way....I honestly didn't just sit there waiting to pop on, like someone who holds onto the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle !
Heyyyy alll.....
So, yes it is quiet indeed. I see everyone is still waiting on something
I had a 4 week wait last year Lesley so I'm not holding my breath just yet as it's only been a week!! Xx
Sure you’re right Jobey, no news is good news, still, a letter confirming it would be nice. Here’s hoping both you snd Clair get your tomorrow.
One time at I was at the breast clinic there was a man, I really felt for him, sitting there surrounded by women, at least we could all feel the “sister vibes”. Today there were 3 men waiting to be seen. Until quite recently I hadn’t realised just how many men it affected.
No news here either Clair and I'm going with that must be a good sign vibe!! Xx
Hello all,
Was hoping to see a post from Clair saying she had got her results today and all was well, maybe later as probably still at work.
Had my appointment at the breast clinic this morning. Appointment was 10.30, got seen at 11.40. Never mind, I’m feeling so relived if a bit sore. Discharge is nothing to be concerned about, just something that apparently happens from time to time after rads. Lump it turns out (we think) to be a cebsceous cyst (I am prone to them). Had a local anathestic and had it removed. It’s being sent to the lab for checking but they’re pretty confident that’s it’s nothing omninous. Just the mammogram on Friday to get through then the wait begins.
Its a glorious sunny day here and really warm so going to make a cuppa and sit in the sun for a while and enjoy the feeling of relief and make the most of it until headache and hot flush time later.
Hope all you lovely lot are ok, it’s been very quiet on here last few days, even Lacy H is conspicuous by her absence, hopefully busy lobbing balls about xx
Clair
Good to hear that you are feeling calmer today xx
I know the feeling Clair, last year I'd gone past caring by week three and just threw the letter on the side when it eventually came and opened it later! Oh for the days when they would tell you there and then 🙄
im sure all will be well for us both ❤️
Scary how fast time goes! My eldest is 29 next month so there is no denying my increasing age although I still think he's 12!! 😜Xx
Jo
I have everything crossed that you do xxx
Woo hoo big 50 🙂 🙂
Funny my best friend and I were out last night and we were looking back on our 50th she is 3 weeks older than me, and really could not believe that it was 10 years ago.
Helena xxx
Thanks Helena , hoping to have heard before my big 50 in three weeks! 🤞🏻 Xx
Jo
In your pocket for good news on your mammo.
Sending you hugs
xxxx
Kaz
Hiya, woo hoo back to work, well just make sure that you do not overdo it and stick to your plan. Have you a colleague who could keep an eye on you and make sure you leave on time. When I went back they made sure that every day I was in someone came down at midday to make sure I was packing up. It was really funny but also a thoughtful thing.
I had an appointment with my oncologist about 8 weeks after I finished rads, he just wanted to check to see how I was doing, checked my breast to make sure it was doing ok and how I was doing on my tamoxifen. I am now on annual onc appointments for the next 4 years.
I have only two seen my surgeon/consultant, the first was when I was in the operating theatre and the other was 6 weeks after surgery to give me my results. I have not seen him since.
That is great news about your sister.
Clair no news is indeed good news, I had my first year results back in 8 days and my second last year was a mammoth 4 weeks!!! I've just had my 3rd this week on Tuesday so am in the waiting room with you Xx Jo
Hi Ladies,
I havn't been in touch for a while but hope everyone is doing ok. I am currently psyching myself up to returning to work. Starting back on Monday but just doing 4 hours a day for 4 days a week for four weeks then I am off for two weeks holiday and will review my hours again after that.
Glad to hear your mammogram was fine Helena, my eldest sister has recently had a routine mammogram and thankfully that has come back clear. I have another appointment with my Oncologist next Friday not really sure what to expect from that as I have recently seen my surgeon/consultant and everything is fine.
Kaz xx
Clair
Oh in your pocket mate.
This is the worst, it was the same with me when I had my first mammo, they said I would hear within 7-10 days after but if I hadnt heard to contact my oncologist, I just could not bring myself to do it in case it was bad news and waited to see him a couple of days, The relief when he said all ok, I then received a confirmation letter from him two days later, which frustrated the hell out of me because I thought why could that not have been sent the week before which would have made so much difference to how i was feeling when I saw.
Sending you loads of hugs
xxx
Clair, of course no news is good news. Everything about these processes that have to be gone through is demanding and draining and at times is too much to bear, so one step at a time, and if the steps are too much, we will carry you. Sending bear hugs, love and gentle squeezes. xxx
Hugs Clair, as you say, hopefully no news is good news. Nothing worse than waiting. Let’s hope it arrives Tomorrow with the all clear so you can enjoy the weekend xx
So glad you enjoyed your meal with your bestie Lady H, and sorry Colin has been suffering (you tooas a result) with the heat. When it’s cold at least you can make hot water bottles, add layers to bed etc but it’s so difficult to cool down. Very restrained of you ajaney just having a mini magnum.
Dentist was just a check up. Still trying to talk me into two crowns, but at nearly £300 each I’m dealying as long as possible, and that’s with Denplan insurance cover too!
My sister is flying off to the states on Tuesday to visit her daughter who is still very poorly. They have ruled out a stroke but still running tests to find out what’s wrong with her. Although she has very good medical insurance cover with her job she’s getting concerned that it won’t cover everything. We’re so lucky here with the nhs. Sister is coming to stay with me Monday night as her flight is from Heathrow and she lives in Wales. Will be nice to see her if only for a few hours. Just hoping I get a good result at my appointment at the breast clinic Monday morning so I can relax and enjoy the evening with her.
Still hot here, really muggy tonight, the heatwave seems to be hanging around in our corner of the country, had to dig out all my summer clothes, shave legs and paint toe nails, legs now caught the sun so not snowy white so expect now I’m all prepared weather will change and ill be back covered up again xx
Its a lotcooler here tonight than it has been for days.
Been out for dinner with my bestie tonight, lovely to relax and just talk about nothing.
Shattered now as it has been a bad few days with Colin as the heat has really got to him so not a lot of sleep has been had, hopefully tonight will be better.
xxxx
Lesley
Hope it went well today at the dentist xx
Blimey mrs those flushes are really getting you
