I agree. 3 out of 4 friends of mine have all received a letter today. The one who hasn’t has lung damage from the radiotherapy and has been quarantining herself now for 5 weeks. Crazy!
There have definitely been mistakes made - it's done centrally not by GP.I have 3 friends who've been phoned by various Consultants to say they should shield bug so far none of them have had a letter !
Hi Jill
Thanks for your reply. I did think I’d ring the GP on Monday but just wondered if I was making a fuss. Obviously I’ll follow the advise given. X
Hi - I've seen quite a few posts from people who feel they shouldn't be considered high risk but who have had the letter and also from people who haven't had a letter who really should be put in that category .Apparently if you ring your GP they can either take you off or put you on the list after looking at your situation .Some of it seems rather random .
Hiyah. So got a letter from my local hospital to advise me to quarantine for the next 12 weeks. I’m 44, finished treatment 2013, recon 2014. On the tamoxifen still. Actually really shocked, I’m not even under the oncologist anymore. I just have an annual mammogram and that’s it. Should I not be surprised to get this letter?
