Hi all - 6.30 sounds great.
Don't worry about me stressing, I LOVE complaining, it makes me relax! I am happy to wait for so long, then....... off I go!
I am doing ok, no belching this time, shame really, was gearing up for Britains Got Talent! Bones are achy, but that's easing off now.
See you all Thursday.
I have a problem. My Mum has been sent to a specialist at Springfield on, you guessed it Thursday evening. She wants me to go with her so I will only make it if they get through quite quickly. I hope to see you later on as she will want to go straight home but does not do the Army & Navy, so I will have to take her back first.I think I should be there for at least part of it unless you go home really early. Will ring someone that evening when Mum is safely delivered back
Hope everyone is doing ok? Daisy, well done, halfway there now! I can relate to the annoyance of hanging around. I have been there and hour and a half before they've even started my treatment! You just wanna get in there and out again asap don't you??? Try not to stress too much, it doesn't help but at least you can get on-line and have a good old rant and rave, we know how it is!!
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday, 6.30pm is fine by me Lily, I am always ready for food!!
Love Helen x
well done Daisy for getting another one done and try to 'chill' if you have a wait, not good for you to have so much stress. It used to really annoy me too as I wanted it to be done and to get home but sometimes it was because another patient was having a real crisis. Hope this one is not too bad, well as not too bad as is possible with chemo, all things considered. Can we make 6.30 on Thursday? I will def be there but depends on my son to how long I can stay as he has an A level the next day and I may be required to test him!!
Take care all
Lily x x
greetings - no3 over and done with in record time! My appt was for 11.15, 11.45 I am still waiting to be seen, and I don't do waiting. So made the miserable moo on reception get off her jacksy and find out when I was going in! Two minutes later I was seen. She gave me daggers, so I stared at her, she soon returned to her monitor!
Is 6.45 too early for folk on the 14th?
Off to down some more water.
Have a lovely weekend people.
Sharon2 so sorry to hear about your Mum in law and especially for Den of course. Hope you are all coping as well as poss, and poor little Jack too. Well done for your first day back at work, how did it go? I would have wished you luck, sorry memory is still not back! Daisy hope the gig goes ahead. My eldest went to Brixton to a concert and it is quite a treck so rest up before and after.Julie see the unit or the GP about your tongue as there are lots of potions to help it, often thrush which needs nystatin drops. I al so had liquid salive and steroids for my tongue at various times. You have my sympathy it got my mouth every time too.
Can I get back to you about the time as it has suddenly turned into a busy day because I forgot everything AGAIN!
Hi daisy enjoy the gig tomorrow. I didn't know the specials were still going!!!!
work has been ok and my boss emailed me tonite to say she does not expect to see me in tomorrow so I can support Den and JAck but both will be at work and school so expect to go in even if for a little while, Good luck for Friday if I don't manage to get back on here.
Love sharon xx
Look forward to seeing you all on 14th I hope. its day before chemo so will be high on steriods and abit too chatty!
Sorry to hear your sad new Sharon2 , thoughts are with you, Glad you are back at work ok, hope its working well for you. sounds it.Hope you can make 14th .
Hello Sharon ,new lady, hope all goes good for you, I am julie and this is a lovely site to make you feel you have friends and are not alone, as Sharon/Daisy said we are ALL at different stages, I have had two lots of chemo, any questions please ask away,
Been to Sudbury today with a friend for meal in a mill! It had lovely views of meadows and we walked for ages after through them! Shatered now, suffering with sore tongue badly and throat too, also boob hurts and arm so too much exercise i think , mouth and body!!!
Hope everyone is well. love to all juliexxx
Sharon2 - well done for getting back into the 'other world'. Sorry to hear your bad news honey.
A question for you knowledgeable ones....when will my head stubble fall out? My head is so prickly I could file my nails on it! I am getting a few zits on my head where I think the hair is ingrowing. Should I Immac it away?
I am going to see The Specials tomorrow night and I have the perfect skinhead look! I managed to get into the disabled section as I really don't fancy being bumped, bashed and groped...well?????...maybe one of them would be ok).
Flora - is it ok for me to make use of your wig stand and shampoos? If not, I will scout around Ebay.
Off to school tomorrow to say farewell to my Y11's, blood test, then concert in the evening, chemo Friday, where I will more than likely be having it horizontal on the bed in there!
Hope everyone is well.
UPDATE 8pm - tonights gig has been cancelled as lead singer has a sore throat, if he isn't better for tomorrows gig he will have to face the wrath of Daisy!!! Got to keep checking the website, oh yeah, the gig is all the way over in Brixton, if they update the site late like they did today, we will be on our way there! I COULD SCREAM!!!, I feel the need for a Pimms.
Hi First day back at work went well. Was there 3 hours . I am alternating between working in the office and at home for a while which is nice.
I will try and come to the meal but my mother in law passed away this morning so need to see how things pan out.
Hope you all well
Love sharon xx
LET'S MEET UP......
I have spoken to Julie and the 14th is ok with her, so..........
Thursday 14th May, 7.00 at The Fox & Raven (unless there are more than 8 of us!!!), if there is, we will cross over to the 'other side'.
Hope this is good for you all.
don't forget us working gals need to meet in the evening whichever day it is. Sharon2 I'm afraid your message sounded like a darlek under water so I have no idea what you said lol. I am guessing you are saying you want to meet up? Tracey how did the move go or are you still living out of boxes? Hey you stood me up at parents evening!!! No problem I guessed you might just be a little busy. Daisy999 hope all is still going well and Helen and Tracey and Flora too. Daisyd I know it is so much to take in as it all happens so fast. I still wake up and think s..t so it wasn't a dream. Trying to give you a positive thought, so although chemo is scarey, on Tuesday the drugs will all be whizzing round your body searching out the little Cs that could be hiding and kicking them up the backside. You will be doing something to get rid of it and after the first one it will be easier to cope with. On chemo you get into a bit of a pattern even though you don't like its regularity. What drugs are you having? Have fun tomorrow and don't think too much about Tues until it arrives. Big hugs, you can do this x.
Hi Daisyd - welcome! Oh blimey, this is going to get very confusing, another Daisy! I am called Sharon, but so are most of us on here! ha ha. I will have to think of another name.
Sorry to hear you are feeling down in the dumps. Having a bad day is perfectly normal, but don't have too many, get things off your chest on here, one of us will perk you up!
We are all at different stages, some of us are having chemo, some now taking pills & potions, I don't think any of us are having radio therapy at the mo though. All of us have had different ops, with different grades, but we are all smiling and dealing with the breast beastie like the tough nuts us Essex girls are!
I am on chemo no3 on Friday and so far, so good. I am having treatment at Broomfield in Chelmsford, but some are under Basildon & Southend.
So, if you have ANY questions, ask away. We are a very friendly bunch, we meet regularly and welcome newbies with open arms!
Have you checked out the wig shop in Southend yet? They are so nice and helpful, they had my friend and me in stitches! Do you know about the NHS voucher that goes towards the wig? If you want any chemo tips, just ask.
Keep in touch......Daisy xxx
Hi am new to site and am an essex girl in Southend and extremely scarred at the moment. Have had left breast and lymph removed and have grade 3. Starting chemo on tuesday would like to no if there is anyone in the same situation. Have been positive but am having a bad day..
Thanks for all those lovely words girls, yes the end of the chemo line is getting nearer - yippeee!!!!!!!!!!! Just have to prepare to be fried and cooked at the next stage of the road.
Be good to meet up, I can do either date Daisy but I would prefer to meet on Thursday 14th as I am out for dinner in the evening on the Wednesday and as much as I enjoy my food can't do two meals out in one day! How about you Julie? Don't think anyone else is on chemo at the moment? How does that fit in with you ladies that are back at work etc?
Good news that both Sharon.bas and Lily have had their results and they are good ones, I'm very pleased for you both....huge relief eh?!
Sharon2 - sounds like a good idea, arranging something in October for the Helen Rollason. I will try and do my bit to help, just let me know what I can do.
Does anyone recall I mentioned that a friend of mine is organising a Masked Ball on 31 October (Halloween) at Stock Brook Manor, for Helen Rollason & Breast Cancer Care? I thought it'd be lovely to try and get a table of the ladies from the support group together. I think a table is 10 people. Anyone interested?
Keep well and enjoy the long weekend
Love Helen x
well done lily, another mammoth hurdle over with. I have sent you a voice mail. I can make either date and believe Tracy can too. I am doinf a 10 mile sponsored walk tomorrow with Jack so think of me!!!
Well done helen for completing 5 sessions, 1 more to go. I saw Elaine the other day and said the same to her.
As the tickets run out for the pink party is there anyone out there if I can get a hall for nothing or minimal cost, that would like to help me organise an evening in October to raise money for Heln Rollasson???
this would involve getting companies to donate prizes for raffle, selling tickets, helping with doing food etc.
Hope everyone else are doing ok and enjoying the sunshine. I am making the most of it as returning to work on Tuesday.
Lots of love sharon2 xx
Great news Lily. It sounds like the bog standard reply I get each year. Complain to the PCT, I would.
Well chuffed for you matey.
didn't bring my school calendar home so need to check it but apart from that I am ok for either date. Mammo results arrived this morning and are fine, phew. The docs report was dated 21 April but typed on 28 and posted on 30th so might write and moan about extra anxiety it causes. If that doc caught up so quickly after his hols, they took 14 days to put the front letter on and post it. The wording on the report is horrible, no sign of i am pleased to report, results are ok, etc. A horrible sentence about only normal or benign mammographic appearances. Perhaps that is normal but a cheery comment would not have gone amiss.
Enjoy the weekend if you can
Okey dokey Lily....here we go...I am on chemo, and my best days to enjoy some munchies are......
Wednesday 13th May
Thursday 14th May
Next person's go!
got a letter today, looked at it, thought this is it, my results but alas just a stupid letter from Audi inviting me for a cup of coffee with them. Ehhrr. Will have to wait till next week now. It is tough as I would have to ring from work and everyone is there listening and what if... Think I'll be an ostrich and stick my head in the sand for a bit longer. Fab results with no spread Sharonbas, you must be so pleased. So it sounds like you just need to get the surgery sorted and you are cooked! You have been so unlucky and it is not fair to have so much trouble, poor you. I have the Nolvadex-d tablets, which are a more expensive brand of tamoxifen. I started them early Dec and no hot flushes yet but getting prickly heat as the temp warms up. I am expecting flushes when I go on holiday though. Have you all got your free prescription cards to use? Can we let you chemo ladies decide on a good day or days as we all know how that feels. I still remember sitting watching Tracey and Sharon2 eating really yummy cheesecake and not being able to have any. I mostly had bread and butter and chips while on cmf. Go Helen, almost there. The end wizzes by doesn't it? Must warn you, I got really cheesed off waiting for the last one to go! Too impatient.
Hi to everyone else and hope to see you soon
Hi ladies hope everyone is well
Great news daisy, you go girl.
Great to hear your hair is comming back quickly Helen, mine is about 1.5 inches and is curly has hell, cant do a thing with it. glad the end is in sight. ready to enjoy the summer.
Lily, I dont understand about markers but that sounds good. daisy has got right idea, ring someone up and moan about waiting for results, there should be no need for waiting that long.
sharon 2 hope you are well, noticed your post on night sweats, I am on tamoxifen and suffer greatly with them at least every hour having to change bed and night clothes, have been sleeping in spare room so not to disturbe everyone, cold drink and fannel as well as open window and throwing covers off immediadtly it starts helps reduce duration but have seen on other postings that another drug, and I cant find my notes on it, but I think it begins with N, it is the same as Tamoxifen but is slow release has been very helpful in stopping night sweats but appearntly it is more expensive, mention it to onc.
Tracey how did move go?
just to let everyone know I went to my appointment on Thursday and bcn actually spoke to me. great news my cancer was grade and stage two and all 11 nodes removedd were clear, so no more chemo and I think no RADs. I got appointment for onc in July which bcn said is rediculas and she will bring forward. unfortunatly my wound drama continues, I am now on my third course of anti biotics and now surgeon decieded that packing no longer required but now I have a stoma bag fitted to my chest which I have to empty n a regular basis and chest is now gurggling again. oh what fun . but at least it is water proof so I can now bathe which is utter joy.
Julie hope mouth and bum situation resolves soon. get your scarfes on and shake your stuff even if one is a bit stiff,
thanks to all
Hi Helen - get you on your last poisoning! Well done! Glad the hair is coming back, mine is stubble like, but I suppose it will all go eventually. I don't mind as the wigs is comfy!
My chemo is 8th May (Fri) so the 11th/12th are probably not my best days, the Wednesday is better, the 13th if folk are up for that?
Lily, get on the phone and shout at someone to get your results, you are far too nice, be rude and abusive, 4 weeks is not acceptable.
Hope everyone is feeling fine.
Well that's number 5 chemo out the way for me - one more to go, yippee!!!!! My hair is coming back quite quickly which is fab, may even be able to go wigless in the summer at this rate! I suffered with the usual sickness etc but feel a bit better today.
Are we meeting up soon? I think some dates were mentioned 11 & 12 May if I remember, is that any good to anyone? Or has anyone fixed another date? Can someone let me know please?
Glad to hear everyone seems to be doing ok, and finally got their results etc.
Love Helen x
I didn't see prof as he was scared stiff of upsetting Daisy lol!! Nice to catch up while we waited the long wait in the waiting room, so aptly named at his clinic! Fab that you are fine. I saw H from the chemo unit for the inevitable touchy feely bit. Everything is fine, tumour markers are down to 17, yahooo and he said his could be 14 if he was tested. Chatted about how I was and back in 12 weeks as they are not happy with london Rd leaving me till Oct. mammo results still not in and they cannot access them on screen either so on my 4th week of waiting.
I got the all clear..........................oh yeah baby!
The 'thing' was not a cyst, but my ovary! I had a thorough examination and was told by Prof Nev I look really well and to enjoy my chemo!
Chat soon ladies
Daisy see you there and lol if i get in before you!! We are having brekky in the canteen first. Julie yes I was worried to hear pig flu at Broomfield but heard from someone else so not sure if def or being tested. If it is def I would be very careful about going to public crowded places but one of the BC team would give the best advice. I was anxious going to have my blood taken as people looked ill!
Oooooh I hate going for results
hi all of you lovely ladies
Firstly Helen has imformed me there are no tickets left for the PINK PARTY which s real sad as was looking forward to going and had about 8 others interested too! still good for them that they sold out that quickly!
My boob has decided to become a brick again tonight! and my normal one is aching too so worried about it!
This Swine flu seems abit of a worry, should we worry about it more?
Sickness seems to be going abit, sore mouth and pebble poohs bui indigestion improving i think! Having real problems sleeping thought, waking every 2 hours like clockwork! any suggestions other than a hammer!
You certainly had to get cross to get them to give you an answer! We should not have to go through all that to get an answer!g ood luck when you see Prof D though!
Hope all goes ok! I may go out soon with scarf on , also may look at wigs up road to me to see what there like! Has anyone bought or looked at market ones? Someone said hairdressers up road to me ,Rainsford road have them 75 pound? do they cut them anyone know?
well love glad you seem to be on road to recovery, cant believe what you have been through, stasy on mend !
Went to Hylands park today made me feel better! nice to be out in sun at last!
Shelia , sad about tickets for Pink Party, we must get together soon, love to everyone , and hope to see you soon,
Hi Lily - my appt is also at 10.00, seemingly there are 3 of us with the same time appt! So, will see you there! If you are taking too long I will bang on the door!
Daisy well hooray for main part of the scan and poooo for the blip but hooray that he thinks it is nothing. Might see you there what time are you, mine is 10 am. You don't want to be after me as he loves my hubby and we are in there forever.Try not to worry as he knows what he is talking about but will cross fingers for you just in case. Sharon2 tell Tracey happy moving day and to give me a call if she has changed her tel number. How is the old barnet coming along?
Any meet will have to be an evening for me, preferably a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday
Lily x x
Howdy all - received a phone call 9.10am, all clear on the organ scan.....BUT, got to see Nev on Thursday as something is showing up in the pelvic region, he thinks it is just a cyst and has said not to worry about it. Shame I had to be rude to people to get the results.
I am going to have an ultrasound (hopefully soon or I will use the private healthcare) just to see what is lurking.
Hope everyone is well and good luck Lily with results.
Next chemo for me is Friday 8th, the worst days are the Mon&Tues after, apart from that, count me in meeting wise please.
well I feel fighting fit compared to some of you poor guys, get better soon. Never works with chemo though, just the same old thing again and again, same yukky stuff. Daisy glad you got the number and you know with this, bad news tends to travel fast so I try to stay calm. Easier said than done I know. The same doc has not sent my mammo results either! I see the prof on Thursday so yukky bloods tomorrow after work. I do begrudge paying for the car park. Thanks Sharon2, sounds like good news but with a sting in the tail. I understand now. Yes lets fix a date to meet. Happy packing Tracey!
Gotta go, very tired
Daisy you go girl, I am sorry you have had to bang your fist as well as making all those calls, but I am glad you have got them moving and hopefully get good news tomorrow.
Good luck to helen for number 5 tomorrow hope daughter had good birthday.
Julie hope your indigestion is improving and you are getting your appetite back, I felt better once I had gone completly bauld, never got on with wigs but wore scarfs when I went out, but mainly stayed onatural indoors. Love Warners break can make you feel so young in comparison lol.
Sharon2 great to hear from you, good luck for retun to work take it easy though.
Tracey, bet you are busy, hope you are not going to far.
As for me not much as changed my chest still gurggles as I walk or turn over this is despite it being packed daily with a number of lengths of gauze. without going into to much gory details the district nurses are contmplating comming in twice daily as despite packing wound is still oozing tons. got to admit whole thing making me quite sick. because of infection pain and swelling I am weel behind on my excerises hope this wont hold me up to much and wont be permentant. cant wait till thursday hope they give me more answers then
love to all
Breast Care nurse rang me back and I got the usual 'oh its still not on the system, can you ring again in 48 hours?' No I bleedin' well CAN'T!
So, Mrs Peeved of Danbury contacted the PCT and Nevs PA, she rang the Radiology dept who are they going to do it as a matter of urgency. The PA is lovely and was very helpful and I will have a call tomorrow with my results. It has been read, but not reported on?????
Why does it take for me to angry and start losing my rag before things get done? Fingers crossed I will get a decent kip tonight as I have spent the last three having nightmares about ....'what if'.
Apart from that, all is good.
Sorry to rant, but 'what a liberty!'
Hi Lily, I didn;t mean the last post to sound negative. I saw a Dr P--t- (not allowed to say names) who was reassuring, did not rush me and answered all my questions I thought as well as physically examining me. He stated I would be on hormones for 5 years and under them for about 10!!! as it was such an aggressive beast.
who else is going to the pink party?
My son and I are doing a sponsored walk next Monday for his football club - 10 miles!!!! Last year I was great but this year well, watch this space. JAck does about 15 as he keeps coming back to me and than played 1 1/2 hours football.
Sharon bas how you doing today!
Hello to everyone else and we really are going to have to meet up soon.
daisy99 is that sharon I cannot remember!
Love sharon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
just a quicky, Sharon2 glad you are back. Puzzled what you meant by appointment ok you suppose, whats up? Doesn't sound like you were reassured. Tracey I had no idea you had actually sold, etc, wonderful news to get that new start. i hope you are coming to see me on parents evening and I def won't do anything didgy there lol. Best behaviour. Daisy I have the tel number somewhere will get it to you. BTW I still haven't got my results due to same doc on hols for 2 weeks and he apparently has to see evey mammo, etc. I don't mind waiting if he is the expert. I see the Prof on Wed and will enquire. Sharonbas keep your chin up matey, it will get better. Must remember to go for blood suckers this week, yuk.
Hi to Helen, Julie, Flora and anyone I have so rudely forgotten, sorry, really tired
Cheers Moonshine for that name, heres hoping to an end to the contant belching!
Will post again tomorrow when I HAVE the results.
Sharon.Bas - how you doing matey?
Flora - is it still ok to have the wig/head stand and bits from you?
That's my lot for tonight......night all
Hope everyone is okay on chemo and recovering from surgery well.
Julie, I had awful heartburn on chemo, they gave me omeprozole which usually worked well. Trouble is because of my hiatus hyena I'm still on it!
Daisy, sorry they are keeping you hanging about waiting for scan results. I really can't STAND waiting, I would of thought it would of been read by now, hope they tell you tomorrow. By the way, I had mine late on a Wednesday afternoon and got the results first thing the following Friday morning.
Lily, hope you are okay, is it this week you get your results? You will be fine I'm sure. I think it's Parents Evening Thursday, and guess what? I move house on Thursday!! Don't think I have appointment with you yet, but if I do I promise not to FLASH boob or head, hee hee.
Well I have been clearing out cupboards, drawers, everything today, and it seems I have more rubbish to get rid of than stuff to take with me! Quite cleansing to have a good clear out though.
Sharon, I'm looking forward to seeing you on Friday, sorry I have been so busy lately, I have really missed you x.
Love to everyone,
HI everyone, I have had so much to read as plonkers cut through my cable nearly 2 weeks ago and have had no tv or internet!!!!
Sharon bas I am so sorry to hear the trauma you have beeen through. As if being diagnosed was not bad enough you have now had to go through physical hell as well. Hope you are now on the road to a healthy recovery.
It sounds like a lot of you are coming to the end of chemo so well done.
Julie I wpould love to go to the Pink Party and I know a few friends will as well so count me in and I willl let you lknow about mates. I was going to organise a party in October but may still do.
I saw a oncologist for check up last week which went ok I suppose and I return to work a week on Tuesday. I feel tired but will feel worse I expect.
Better go and cook dinner now love sharon 2 xx
Love and thoughts to everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I am not a happy bunny! Three weeks later and I still don't have my CT results! I have phoned and moaned to the breast nurses and just keep getting told 'they haven't been looked at yet'. They don't even know if Dr Whiting (?) is on his hols or not, and to be truthful, they didn't seem bothered!
So, I have been told to ring again tomorrow and if I don't get any joy, they will make me an appintment to see him, possibly this Tuesday.
Don't suppose anyone has Proff Davidsons secretary's number by any chance?
I am so in the mood for a row! - OMG, does this mean I have the stirrings of PMT after 9 years? If so, for their sake, I better have the results tomorrow!
Well should be in bed but took stupid steriods at 8 as forgot them earlier so not sure when will sleep tonight! My vein hurts where it burst and then put it in another one in ! got loads of heart burn and indigestion, nothing helps it much , any ideas, took gaviscon , indigestion and heart burn stuff too and mints and ginger!
seem to have gone of food again, tea coffee most things but hope it just last the week as last time it did, metal taste not here yet so waiting for that, but just cant taste much!
my body feels tired but head alert!well brain such as it is, my head is now bald on top and back just hair at sides so nicola will shave rest of tomorrow or wed or john may do it ,but not keen! fed up with bits of hair everywhere you look and my head is feeling cold! wore wig most of day and put scarf on tonight!
Well good luck again for tue Helen! will think of you , only one more after that!
i have booked to go to Gunton Hall with mum (mad) on the 11th to 13th may, and got train tickets today too cheap in advance, so hope all goes ok, its a warners camp, her age more.
Sharon bas, you certainly are putting a brave face on , you really have been through it but well done with it all , you are stronger than you thought and will come out the otherside of this , I thought the pasin i suffered and drains etc after my op and pain before op wold never ease ,but things do improve eventually, and in a few weeks time you will be feeling much better about everything!
LOVELY TO TALK TO YOU SHELIA LAST NIGHT,
I will sort out tickets next week for pink party
we will have to go out for a drink one eve sometime
lots of love to all juliexxxx
Well done Julie for getting number 2 over and done with & managing to post on-line and text me the same day!
I am back in for chemo on Tuesday (number 5) so making the most of things this weekend. Although feeling a little tired today as my daughter had six friends over for tea and a pyjama party last night, it's her 10th birthday tomorrow.
A meet up sounds good to me to, 10 or 11 May was suggested and that would be good for me too, as last chemo will be 19 May all being well.
Sharon.Bas sorry to hear you are still having a rough time.
Daisy glad you are ok, Cheryl says 'hello' and often asks if I've heard from you.
Hope everyone else is ok and keeping well.
Love Helen x
Hi sharon.bas - your Dr sounds like a right muppet. What an obnoxious toe-rag (can't really say the proper word or I will be banned!) Fate works in weird ways, and maybe, just maybe, one day he will have his 'love spuds' tampered with and it will be just as painful. ha ha
Chin up girly, you are coping really well considering how much you have had to put up with. Once the mayhem calms down and you get a few hours to yourself without someone medical manhandling you, you can then get your head around the AWOL boobie.
I am doing good, got a few pin prick sized tongue blisters but nothing to moan about really. Plus the mouthwash is so tasty, I am happy to gargle every few hours!
Keep smiling everyone and love to you all.
Julie and Daisy you sound as if you have got this chemo thing sussed. as I have mentioned before I had my treatment arese about face, and finshed chemo last year, I am now dealing with the thick curly mop that resists any comb or lotions?
unfortunatly my wound saga continues, I went back to hospital on Thursday, surgeon was usual arsey self and did not gie me any full report on my path but did say that my lyth glades were clear, which is great news. and I dont feel so paranoid about feelings about my surgeon,as every nurse both on the wards and in community think he is obnoxous and unprochable . anyway he finally paid some attention to my wound. firstly asperating some fluid and saying that it did not look right, he then suggested that he reopen the wound and he would fit a stoma bag to the area, he evevtually settled on reopening the wound and getting the nurse to irragate may chest, this went on for over an hour and then I was packed with 5 packs of ribbon gauze and imformed that the district nurses wounld be doing this on a daily basis for another week and he would see me next thursday, well great I noe have an open wound packed with alsorts and that will be dragged out every day so I have no idea when this will end. the most upsetting thing was bc decieded there was no need to see me at the appointment so again I am left with no real clue what is happening to me. ust wish it could be all over as I still have had no space to contmplate the loss of my breast and I am sure that will come. I am feeling better in myself so I must be getting on top of the infection I hope it is up hill from here my living room is looking like a theater room with 4 carriers of dressings ect
well enough moaning hope all remain well and hope to meet up soon
Love Sharon bas
Well feel ok so far but only been in 30 mins! Felt a bit nausea but had ginger biscuit so may help and mints, but will take anti sickness tablet tonight or morning, eating as much as poss before i go off food and drink! got tablets now in hand if thrush back! Nicola came with me! only 4 more to go, they had to put it another vein as first one collapsed! not nice! Well all for now
