Hospital have stopped 3 monthly check ups.

Hi Ladies 

Hope you are all recovering well, just met with my BCN, post completion of treatments, and she’ told me the hospital will no longer be doing 3 monthly check ups. 

Apparently there have been studies to suggest there is no benefit to having 3 monthly check ups. 

Hospitals in Manchester have just implemented this, Marsden are following and it’s going to be rolled out nationwide very soon. 

Has anyone heard of this in their trust? 

Personally I feel happy about it. 

Any thoughts ladies?

Wow - you had 3 month check ups? I will be lucky to get one every 12 months. Practices do vary across the nation. Some people just get a nurses number to ring if they are concerned about things and no set appointments.  Do you think we are all part of a current experiment looking at the best use of resources post treatment ?
