That is awesome news Lollypop, thank you so much for sharing! Long may the drugs continue to work well for you and give you that great quality of life xxx 🤗
That's amazing news, I know because it was the same for me after the scan in April. Iim on cycle 7 the same meds as you and side effects are minimum. I really hope to stay on this medication for a long time as life is good even in lock down.
Celebrate and relax in the knowledge that the medication is working.
Lots of love Jennie x
So pleased you got good scan results!! Wonderful news that the treatment is working so well for you. Xx
Thats fantastic news something to celebrate and a positive message for us all.
I am almost through my third cycle of palbociclib, also on letrozole. Had a telephone consultation this week with consultant who is arranging a scan for me in early July as local hospital starts to open up again. I have been anxious since this appointment terrified of what the scan will show. This positive news has helped thanks for sharing.
Lollipop, totally the best news, really pleased for you, I know you have had a tough time since dx.
I also had stable results this week from new treatment same as you Ribociclib and Fulvestrant, like you I’m finding it very doable with no real side effects apart from the pesky white blood count being low so now been reduced to the lowest dose 200mg but have been reassured that I will still be getting the same effects it’s just that’s all my body can tolerate, however if I can’t tolerate this dose it’s chemo next for me 🙈
Hope you are going to be celebrating your excellent news!!
Fantastic news Lollypop. It’s a great feeling when you know that your treatment is working, that first scan can really make you believe that it’s true what we all said about living with Secondary BC. And, like many of us who were diagnosed a long time ago you now can breathe a huge sigh and relax a bit. You have come a long way since you first posted on here about your diagnosis - enjoy the feeling 😊 It gives hope to all those newly diagnosed so thank you for posting.
the treatment is really doable, I have minimal side effects and the worst one I get are hot flushes from the menopause!! I’ve really settled into it on the 4th cycle and feel so well, like I don’t even take anything. My advice to you is....eat before you take your tablets as you’ll feel sick otherwise, drink lots of water/squash...or wine 😉 get a decent moisturiser as your skin will change a bit. Other than that it’s really easy! I do everything that I used to and feel so well which is important for all of us. Good luck and let me know if I can help in any way xx
Fantastic to hear you are doing so well on your treatment. I will start on Ribociclib and Fulvestrant next week. My original breast cancer has now spread to my neck liver and lungs. worried about the side effects .hoping I will still be able to enjoy my life. presently I cough quite a lot and have lost my appetite(which definetly isnt like me) and been feeling a bit sick. Start my treatment on Wednesday x
