Re: TN and Metastatic

Hi, thank you for the reply, I don't need chemo as my oncologiist said it didn't agreed with the last two times I had it, as they got all the cancer he felt that i should just have CT scans every 3 months to keep a watch on things, The oncologist has given me some sickness tablets to take just before the scan hopefully that will work.

Hello crazy

Welcome to the forum ..sorry you haven't received any replies but sometimes it's a bit quiet here at the weekends .
I'm not really sure whether I have any advice but please keep posting here as we can offer support and kindness.
Hopefully the chemo will blast the little blighters , most of us have had chemo at some time.
The contrast used for ct scans can cause a bit of an allergy and maybe you should mention it before hand . I always end up with sore arm after hunt the vein mostly !

TN and Metastatic

Hi all, I'm new to the site In May 2012 I found a lump in my right breast so had to have a mammogram, they did the scan and biopsy and then told me it was cancer. I had the lump removed and 3 lymph nodes which were all clear . They told me I had a grade 3 aggressive fast growing cancer a hormone related one but it was treatable. Had chemo which was FEC only had 5 out 6 of the chemo due to developing blood clots on my lungs. I also had 18 rounds of radiotherapy. Finished all my treatment in December and went back to work in February 2013, was just getting back on with my life when I thought I had found another lump in the same breast in January 2016 , so off I go again to the one stop mammogram clinic had all the scans and was waiting for the results when the nurse came and told me they need to do another mammogram as they have found a small lump in the other breast which I hadn't felt later . They did all the test and then a week later they told me I had a grade 2 carcinoma and that i would have to have the lump removed and one lymph node. A week i went back for the results and that when I found out that it was a grade 3 carcinoma and it was triple negative. At first I didn't want chemo again but as they explained to me that chemo was my only option as hormone tablets won't work this time. So now I'm having four rounds of TC and 18 rounds of radiotherapy. Worse part is having two different cancers in different breasts so when I finish my treatment I go back on hormone tablets one breast and nothing for the other. In 2017 it was found that I had metastatic breast cancer and it had spread to my lung and it was TN again, the good news is they got it early again and all the cancer was removed, I have have to have a CT scan every 3 months now which i hate as it makes me sick. I now on tinazparin as well due to developing blood clots on the lungs again. Does anyone else have problems with being sick after having CT scan.
