11 years on

Hello everyone

Well it's that time of year again. On Christmas Eve 11 years ago at about this time I was told I had breast cancer. I was diagnosed following routine breast screening.  I had no lump but was subsequently diagnosed with a 4cm lobular cancer with one lymph node involved.

I am pleased to say that I have been very fortunate and have remained well.  I have made some lovely friends through support groups etc and still meet up with three of them regularly.  We were all diagnosed at about the same time.  I still get rather anxious when it comes to 3 yearly mamogram time but I suppose that is a small price to pay.

I just wanted to post this in case it might help someone else who has been diagnosed in the last week or so, there is light at the end of the tunnel although I am sure at the moment that tunnel seems very long!!

Happy Chrismas to everyone and thank you for listening.
