Hi SP87, i am waiting for results this week too. I just read your post, we all understand how you are feeling and you have the added challenge of being pregnant. I really hope all turns out ok. Either way everyone is hrre for you.
You are in very good company with us lot 🙂
I am doing very well, I had my op in Oct and finished rads last month. I am now finished active treatment, I have been back at work since November albeit it 12 hours a week, but start back on my normal hours next week. It is amazing but at the time I could not imagine my saying all this but I have got there xxx
I was diagnosed with breast cancer, but I am a lot older than you, I am nearly 59. I can honestly say that without the wonderful ladies on here I do not know how I would have got through my treatment, the support that they have given me has been amazing and believe it or as well as ranting and crying together "virtually" of course, we have had a lot of very funny moments. Its because everyone gets you and sometimes it is easier to voice things on here that you are too afraid to speak about with your nearest and dearests.
That is good to hear they will be with you, and obviously sending them hugs because it is a very worrying time for you all.
Yep you want to know the results but then dont in the same breath, the breast care team will be very aware of your anxiety as they are used to it and will help you with this.
I lost half a stone waiting for my results so it is not unusual for someone to have this happen because of the anxiety.
Good that you are trying some soup, I must admit I love tomato soup when I am feeling under the weather and the thought of a proper meal is just too much, even just eating something will help..
Are you taking someone with you on Wednesday, it might be a good idea if only for moral support?
There is generally one of our lovely ladies on here at all times of the day so just know we are here to help and support you
Well if you want hand holding you will get it in bucket loads on here my dear xxx
We all know exactly what you are going through but you have the added thing of being pregnant, there was another lady on here only this past week or so who had a lump and also found out she was pregnant shortly afterwards, it has turned out the the lump is hormonal, so everything crossed that will be the same with you.
One thing to remember is that not all lumps are cancerous, rhere are a lot of other breast conditions that it could be and it could be that it is the same with you in that it is hormonal because of your pregnancy.
Try to do something to take your mind off getting your results and I know how easy that sounds and how difficult it is to do. You really do need to eat, try just having small snacks throughout the day which might be better than a proper meal.
Let us know how you get on. Sending you a virtual hug too.
