2nd Fec T on Dec 27th

Hi. I've had first three rounds of FEC and my first T on New Year's Eve! I seemed to sail through the FEC, and carried on working. However, This one seems to be a little more hard work and have decided to stop work for a while. I have invested in a nice blanket to cwtch up on the sofa when I'm feeling tired. The hair loss is a hard one, even though you know it's going to happen and you prepare yourself it is still a very visual label of what you are going through. Take each day at a time and rest. Don't plan to do too much xxxx

Yes I have found reading others stories a comfort 🙂

I'm trying my hardest to be ok but as you know it creeps up on you...this hair loss today was quite a blow and I've been a crying mess on and off which is hard to hide from a 6 year old!!!

Hope your next session is ok- I've had an angry ulcer which I kind of expected...seriously like we haven't got enough to deal with!

Hi, It sounds as if your doing really well. I have joined the December Angels group forum most have started their chemo in December like you, I certainly have, my 1st FEC was on the 9th Dec so I'm a little behind you, and my hair is currently where its meant to be but it is all so scary, I keep thinking is it today its all going to start. Read the other posts I have found it so helpful, and it certainly stops you thinking you are alone with this.  Good luck xx

Thanks A, yes we are indeed on the same days..I will def join the December Angels- be great to hear and speak to others going through the same cycle. Hope your anti sickness works, did you use the cold cap? I did but after today's hair loss not sure if I should continue or if this first lot of hair loss is the shock and it slows down (wishful thinking no doubt?!)

Hi Vickie, I am also on FEC-T and had my first on 4th December and having second on 27th, so looks like we will be on the same days. Was very sick first few days, but the oncologist has prescribed Emend for next lot, which should help. Feeling very tired in afternoon and my hair is also falling out, but otherwise have been coping well. You might want to join the December Angels 2013 thread, we have all started in December and will be going through our treatment together and share our stories. It helps to know you are not alone. There is also a December Angels facebook page, which is a bit more personal, so if you are interested then private message SJB and she can invite you on as it is a private group. Hopefully see you on the December Angels thread, the ladies are lovely and would welcome you...we are all in this together.

I'm new to the forum so hope I'm doing it right!! I had my 1st Fec T on Dec 4th and 2nd due Dec 27. Feel like I've survived round one..felt very sick for few days but had 2 or 3 different anti sick pills which stopped any actual sickness, although I think feeling it as as bad as being sick! I was hit with a wall of tiredness day 5 just as I felt ok which was a surprise. Going into round 2 next week somehow doesn't seem So daunting, although have experienced hair loss today and really knocked me sideways. Feels like another bang to take. Probably not ideal posting something on a rubbish day..! Any words of wisdom very welcome. X
