Hi Ladies
Thank you for your kind words , i wrote the poem for all you wonderfull ladies here , christmas can be such a sad time for all of us and it can be particulary hard when you are struggling with cancer treatments and the huge emotional impact BC has on our lives, It would be my dads birthday today ( christmas eve) but he died suddenly 3 years ago and i miss him so much especialy at christmas time I will be thinking about you all this christmas and remembering all those that are no longer here.
Love to you all i will be raising a glass (or 2)this evening to all of you.

Linda, Such a lovely poem. Thank you for posting it, it's nice to see such thoughtful people on the forum......it's been so upsetting on here of late. After despair surely hope will follow, we all need to stay strong and not lose sight of the wonderful people we really are. We have all endured so much and deserve peace and calmness to enjoy what makes us happy however big or small. I wish for everyone to have much earned rest from breast cancer and all the woes and demons it brings, Merry Christmas to everyone here and all at BCC.

Hi Linda, That was a beautiful poem. Did you compose it yourself? If so well done you and thank you for sharing it with us.
It was as if it was written for me coz this year we have played Xmas down and I have only bought my elderly Mum and Dad a present to say thank you to them really. I consciously did not send any cards either. But this was mainly because I have recently finished 8 months chemo and energy levels are still low.
The wish you sent is just perfect. Christmases now, to me, has just got out of hand and the true feelings of Christmas are getting lost through the hype. I am no longer religeous. I once was but for me....this is it....when you die, you die....there is no more. (I have not shared that before apart from my OH because I do not want to upset anyone else who does and gets comfort from that). Yet I do have lots of love in my heart and try to live life well. I hope you get your Xmas wish and that the year 2010 is a good one for you. Love Val XX

My Christmas Wish

If i could have just one wish
I know what it would be
I would not ask for presents
Or an angel for the tree
My wish would be for all of you
For laughter ,joy , no tears
To not feel pain or sadness
Or the scared and lonely fears.

If i could have just one wish
Id wish for peace and love
To hold us all each tightly
Sent down from heaven above
My wish would be for all of you
To be with those that care
Who will wrap their arms around you
For these special times to share.

If i could have just one wish
It would be for you and me
To hold onto hope within our hearts
For hope shall set us free
My wish would be for all of you
To have these christmas gifts
I dont have any pressents
But this is my christmas wish.
