Doctors are using a new scan that detects cancer… Has anybody had a scan and if so how well does it detect? I’m wondering if this is being offered to people with a certain criteria such as age facter or a certain at type of cancer.

never heard of the new scan but very interested to hear about them as hte getting mammagrams as they are so painful! x…I heard of thermology where they look at the breast and can detect cancer but when I asked if I could go and pay for one by myself(as they are not on the nhs I was told that there is nothing as good as a mamagram… hope someone can shed some light on the new scans you are talking about KatLynne
also someone told me they have now been able to find a way of detecting precancer by using a blood test. but I know nothing about this either. Im not much help at all but very interestedin finding out if anyone else know more?? xx
