Hi Nesslay,when you are first diagnosed it sends you into shock you can't imagine how you will cope with everything ,information overload is a big factor you just can't take everything in.The treatment involved will not necessarily mean you can't look after your horse apart from like Jennifer says just after you have surgery ,they encourage you to be up and active ASAP.You will feel more calm and in control soon.there are a lot of recently diagnosed women talking on the the thread "just diagnosed and wanting to talk to people who understand" we have all be where you are, it will get better ,you can cope with this with help and support.I am guessing there may well be help to be had with your horse if you look into it also.Keep on touch. jill
