More on Headspace. I got a message from them today saying they have now produced a Pain Management series. It's new and I have not listened to it yet. https://www.headspace.com

I've started going to a weekly Salsa night. Easy, friendly people, all eager to help with steps and stuff. There's a proper dance floor, a glitter ball, a bar, nibbles on the side and a great teacher. I get three solid hours of joyful aerobic exercise, a glass or two of wine, a slice of pizza and good chat. A life saver.

BTW it's 7.30 Thursdays at Carnforth Railway Club.
Thank you Bonaresis, thats really interesting, am thinking of getting back into headspace againxx
I logged on to Headspace this morning and saw that they had a new series of themed sessions on cancer. There are some free introductory sessions to mindfullness but then you have to take out a year's subscription I think. It's almost a year since I did it and i can't remember how much it was. There are lots of different themes such as relationships, self esteem, creativity but they all have quite a lot in common and all are going in the same direction.. www.headspace.com
this a good example of the Havening technique by Paul McKenna...I
Paul told me to do it for raising my immunity, but my arm also gets a bit tired sometimes, doing it! So i actually dont do it currently...but Paul has seen some amazing results.
Great Bonariensis! Thank you
Am looking at thisxx

Penny Brohn UK has online material on yoga, ti chi, visualisation and relaxation http://www.pennybrohn.org.uk/self-help/
Thank you Ann -M, that tip is one i Am going to try . I remember myself, and have noticed that newly diagnosed ladies get such a shock when they are told......it can make choosing our options difficult.
great to be able to clear our heads and relax for a while.
please feel free to add anything you come across that you think could help.

I don't have an sbc diagnosis, but I hope you all don't mind if I pop in.
For yoga, an app I use a lot is 'Yoga Studio.' It includes classes on deep relaxation meditation as well as a good range of classes for all abilities. It has good reviews & is well explained & demonstrated.

Hello Aurelia,
Sorry youve been having such a tough ride. Getting blow after blow cant be easy. But thank you for sharing
things with us. We are all here for you and oneanother.
Thank you ,for also sharing a few useful tips, , distracting yourself with work and TV can be very therapeutic, I do the TV. Thingy a lot, to try and give my brain a rest! Chatting to partners and friends can also be helpful...I have to carefully pick which friends though, as some seem less likely to be able to deal with it.
Have you tried EFT/Tapping? I find that so helpful when im a bit anxious about something or want to try something new.
there is a guy who does free videos on utube, I find some of them quite helpful, he taps on a range of topics.
here is one of his links in case you fancy a peek.

In any event, hope things look a bit brighter soon

This tread I find particularly useful and with lots of potential inside. People here can share how they manage with EVERYTHING. Because its is not only anxiety....I personally with my modest experience of 3 months after being diagnosed first with PBC then SBC cannot share much, but for the time being I crywhen I am law, my partner says something which calms me down, I work, and relax in ront of TV. Quit smoking, coffee, put on 3 kilos extra, after losing 10, when I started dieting Ducan in May.....in other words, I do nothing in particular to deal with issues easily.....
Yes, especially chocolate, lots of soothing endofins...or endorfins, evenXx
I will start the ball rolling. Here are two things I have personally tried and find helpful..

this technique works on the Meridians of the body, it has to be learned, but takes only a few minutes to do...I have found it really useful for lowering my anxiety levels, just before exams, or attending an appointment.
it is also Free On line..
As Anxiety and Fear are issues I struggle with, I thought it could be helpful to have a thread where We can share tips about how we deal with these.
Please chip in and share if you have found something useful
