Hello Amber, lovely to hear from you. Facebook is easy enough to set up, here's a link that shows you step by step how to set up a Facebook page.

Once your on Facebook if you let us know your full name we can search for you and add you to the awesome April angels group.
Then we just need kim to get a Facebook page.

Your welcome, Facebook is great for a closed group like us, only members of the group have access to it and can see what we all put, so there's nothing to be frightened of.
I'm like you, as andy has fallen out with my dad, it's only me that goes down now so I tend to spend more time with them and it's nice to just chill out with them without rushing about.

Judy, thank you so much for telling me how to bring up the angels page. I now view it more as our group again and i clicked on members and were all there with pickies. Yaaay not so worried now but is facebook ready for me. (Angie it's not coming easy to me either, i feel your pain). Lol

Your parents sound huggy lovely just like mine. Been together and married in there teens and just rely on each other so much. I planted their window boxes yesterday. I'm really enjoying looking out for them now having a little time on my hands. Before dx I rushed about and did things for them but really never sat down and had time for a proper coffee and natter.

Same here philomena, I've put on 2 stone and gone up 2 dress sizes since this time last year. I think looking back at photos from this time last year, I actually looked a lot healthier, bald but healthy, and certainly a lot slimmer. I look down and I've suddenly got my mums legs!

oh dear, evryone has a lot going on dont they. i cant get to grips with this facebook thing, my stepdaughter was laughing at me saying i was being dragged into the 21st century! i might try and get on with not my own name because i have an evil stepson who would use it to harass me. he was hauled before the sherrif courts so ive not had any contact since december, so thats whats been holding me back. i will try and get my daughter to set one up and then she can just tell me how to get on it lol.

It's awful isn't it when you get the call that something is up with either of your parents. I'm pleased your mum is on the mend. My mum and dad have made me laugh this week with mums arm in a pot. Mum has Parkinson's disease so she's more or less in the wheelchair all the time and my dad is blind. Every time she's tried to get from a chair into her wheelchair, my dad is trying to pick her up to push her into the wheelchair. She's sort of become his eyes and dads become her legs. They're forever bickering like little kids so it's been a right comedy watching the pair of them with her hand in pot.
With Facebook any messages from any of us on here will be in the angels page and only we can see them but they do show up on your timeline for you to see them. When you see a new message or a reply to the thread if you click on the awesome angels title next to the name, it brings up the awesome angels page. The newest thread that anyone has added to, is always at the top of the page. If you click on the world icon at the top of the page it shows you all the threads that have new comments on, these are shown in grey until you click on them and look at each thread. I hope I've not confused you more, if I can help with anything, let me know x

Hey Judy, my mum got taken in a week last Thursday with pnuemonia. My dads not good on his legs either and would have fallen when they were taking my mum to her ward if it hadn't been for a lovely burly nurse catching him. I looked after both for a week and just before we went to Manchester thankfully she is ok and out on antibiotics. I do hope all is well and good with your mum soon Judy. I'm not juicing but I am pigging out on veg and fruit. I figured that it will take me longer to eat and digest it on a night. Still starving though as i have cut out sugar completely and using Agave Syrup and Xylitol as an alternative. I do feel loads better. Proper went for it in Manchester as a treat though with our lovely angels.

Well I have got myself on facebook at last, but don't understand it. So much going on, people who want to be friends, Lots of converstions all going on all at the same time. I don't know what is private and what isn't and I'm frightned stiff of doing something wrong that may expose us all to piracy or something nasty. My son and daughter try to help but they are so quick telling me what I can do and what I definatley shouldn't do it scares me even more.

I will stick at it though. Just bare with me angels. After all I got on here ok. xxxxx

I do Mel, I think the juicing fresh fruit and veg really helps, it gives me loads of energy on a morning. Plus I think with all the running about I do for them, it has brought me closer to them.

I might do Lori, I've got a lot on with my mum at the moment, she broke her wrist last week and they've also found a shadow on her lung so there's quite a few hospital appointments for her at the moment. It's a good job I'm not working, it's been a full time job looking after my mum and dad this year. But it keeps me busy.

Judy, you should chase them up regarding your one year check...I got missed and had to chase mine. I got an appointment straight away....all clear thankfully, something less to worry about!

Great news about eyes Angie, must admit mine have changed a little through all this treatment.

I don't think you have to use your own name when you set up a Facebook account, I think you could set it up as angiepops. I know my nephew has an account but it's not his real name that he uses.

I'm glad your eyes are ok Angie, at least that's one thing less to worry about. Have you had your 1 year check up yet. I've had nothing, no mammogram, nothing. I've got an appointment next month but I think that will be to see the plastic surgeon over reconstruction.

just to say i finally had my 1 year check on friday and had a lovely doctor who couldnt find anything of concern and then they let me straight out as soon as they had the mammogram pics (last time they kept me!!), so all good so far. im going to get my eyes tested on monday because i'm as blind as a bat, hopefully it wont be too much damage from the treatment.

I'm getting really excited for you all, I'm sure you will have a fantastic time this weekend.
Lori I'm taking citalopram 20mg, the oncologist prescribed it for the night sweats and it has worked. It's normally prescribed for depression but it's not addictive and I think Angie and someone else on here has been prescribed it. All I can say is thank god it has controlled the night sweats and allowed me to sleep, I think that alone helps me feel human again.
The macular degeneration, they thought at first it was related to taking the tamoxifen but I had an optical scan two weeks ago and he said its macular degeneration. I have to go for another scan in hull hospital to rule something else out but the consultant was 99% sure it's macular degeneration. Thankfully it's dry MD at the moment so I don't have to have eye injections. I know that my eyes have improved just by juicing loads a of fruit and vegetables every day so I'm hoping they will continue to improve. Lori I too am hoping I will be able to have the Diep reconstruction, getting rid of some of this belly fat will be a bonus.

Roz-Just read your post about the spa. Do you think I might be able to change to a shoulder/back massage instead of a manicure?  doesn't matter at all if not. I'm aching at the moment because I tried to jump over a mud patch in the park too enthusiastically, slipped and landed flat on my face, narrowly missing going headfirst into the stream. A quick look around confirmed that no-one saw me, so i struggled up and hobbled off, covered in mud and trying to look like nothing happened! I think I've reached that age when you stop falling over and start ' having a fall' Perhaps i can change it when we're in Manchester.
