Hello Girlies!!
Hope you are all doing well? What's this weather like???!! not good for wigs that's for sure!!
Sheila, good to hear from you...hope the side effects don't get you too bad!! Sounds lovely a nice chilled bottle of bubbly in the fridge.
Helen, I can't believe this is your third week of Rads...how are you finding it? can't be as hard as trying to beat my bejewelled score surely??? Ha Ha!!!! only joking...liked the bit about the dentist sticker..had a good chuckle about that one!!!
Carol, bet you're looking forward to your holiday with weather like this!!! It's good you're not going back to work till after Xmas.. I wouldn't if I had the choice.. I like my work but I'm finding motivation has abandoned me this week.. which you need when self employed... No work.... no wages!!! This is when I wish I was employed, with a nice understanding boss, who could cut me some slack till I got on my feet! Anyway on a lighter note I'm training with Sharon in The wig shop starting Mondays and I'm looking forward to it.. That'll take me up to after Xmas and we'll take it from there...
Sharon, how are things with you? have you any dates to start treatment yet?
Annie, Mags, Yvonne(where are you woman!!!), Joanne... Big Hugs!!
Take Care for now

So good to be able to catch up with everyone again.
Annie - hope you enjoyed birthday. Hang in there - it's really hard. Know what you mean about Taxo piles. Mine have come back this week and agony. Forgot how grotty SE's are - think I've had everything this last week. Feeling slightly better today, so hopefully things will get better.
Helen - you're doing well with Rads. is travelling not too tiring.
Fiona - are you coping with work OK. Take it easy - you've been through so much.
Carol - you must be so looking forward to holiday.
Maggie - how was your weekend.
Haven't had one drink yet to celebrate my birthday. Next week should be good week, so hopefully I'll get wee champagne. Bottle in fridge , chilling.
Take care everyone
Sheila

Hi Girls
Annie – Happy Birthday, it was my eldest’s 8th birthday on Friday and we had his party today – so I had to have a huge glass of wine when we got home to recover! Sorry to hear you’ve been having such a hard time, you poor thing and I can sympathise with the pain of piles too - I had the indignity of having to show my torn one to the poor doctor!! – I was totally mortified! Just take it easy you’ll get there.
Sheila – What a crappy time you’ve had too! I’m really sorry that you missed your birthday celebrations, you’ll definitely have to have ‘another birthday’ as soon as you’re feeling better, may aim for 60 & 60 days!.
Carol – So sorry to hear about your friend, this bloody BC is so cruel and when something like this happens I think it brings it home how venerable we are .
Sharon – I’m so pleased that your margins were all clear, you’re doing just great.
Fiona – It was great seeing you this week and catching up even if was only for a short time. Take it easy this week at work.
Maggie – Have you applied for a MacMillan grant? I had £400 to help with the cost of travelling to get rads. Are you at the Beatson this week for your chemo?
Pauline – How are you? When are you back at work.
Yvonne – Are you almost at the end of your chemo? When are you starting your rads, I’m sure you’ve said but my chemo brain strikes again, so have no idea.
I start my 3rd week of rads tomorrow, my skin seems to be holding out for the time being. I woke a few times on Friday night for my red wine induced coma and under my arm was agony which I thought was
from the rads, it wasn’t till I eventually got up that I discovered I had one of the kids big stickers from the dentist stuck firmly under my arm! – no idea how it got there, but boy was it agony to remove – I’m sure it didn’t do my skin any good as it felt worse than waxing!! I started Tamoxifan on Tuesday, so far so good expect I seem to have a really weird taste in my mouth – I think I’ve had a couple of hot flushes – but nothing too bad.
Take care everyone
Helen
Happy Birhday Annie xoxoxox

Hi Annie, sorry to hear you are having such a crappy time, hope you have a great birthday tomorrow, you so derserve it
Ive been a bit down this week as one of the girls I met at hospital passed away, she was only 39 and had 2 wee boys, still cant get my head round it.
Roll on my holiday!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Annie..what a shame you are having such a lousy time. All that and stomach spasms and piles (Ive had the same thing in the past..it will be worth it to get rid of the wee barstewards)...I have no idea how to help with the tiredness, as that seems to be one of 'my' worst symptoms..just go with the flow doll. Ive also had real problems trying to get information on what Im entitled too (money wise) ..and at last there is a lady from Ayrshire Cancer Care coming to my house on Thursday to see if I can get any help..judging by what you are having to go through..Im not going to hold my breath.
When I met you at the Maggie's you are such a strong person..you really helped me when I was feeling overwhelmed..I wish I could help you in the same way..but..the only thing I can say is..you'll get through it and you will be even stronger in the end..Im sending you a great big cuddle and kisses...keep posting and let us know how it's going...OH and HAPPY BIRTHDAY xxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Guys,
My, but the forum's a wee bit quiet!
Oh Shiela, what a time you are having pet, like everyone says, you'll have a great party when you are a bit better. how's the Tax treating you? I'm getting my 4th - and last - on Tuesday and it has not been kind to me, bit of an extreme reaction on my part but you get through it. Might see you up at Hairmyres?
Sharon - you are an inspiration. You will be feeling so relieved to know that the bloody tumours are being chopped up on a disection table and no danger to you! Do you know when you start rads? I go for my simulation on 2nd Nov and they start on 17th Nov to 4th Jan,so I will be a well done specimen. When do you go for Herceptrin?
Might see you too at Hairmyres/
I have so many hosp appts now they are double booked!
And another wee gift of Tax - I have to get banding done on my brand spanking (and big) new piles, courtesy of my impacted colon. I am getting a lot of pain, and stomache spasms since. Just what I need. Will be getting the op quite soon, next couple of weeks and am waiting for op day at Golden Jubilee hospital. My onc Consultant says as long as it's not my nadir week, she would recommend it as I am in such discomfort.
Working Tax Credit have just written to me to investigate my claim for this year! It's a misunderstanding, they asked me when I became too ill to work (12th Jan) - I called them to query something - and they interpreted that as employment ending. Suggesting that I have not been entitled to anything for this year and will have to repay it all! Just got it this morning so it's going to be a worrysome weekend - and it's my birthday tomorrow. Was going to go out for a couple of hours but feel a bit down now!
I will be so very glad to see the back of 2009, like so many of us.
I wish I felt strong enough to work, but I can't even go to the local shop just now! God knows when my life will be even vaguely normal, apart form all of the obvious things that cancer has done to us from the hair on our head to the soles of ouur feet and tips of our fingers and my bloody digestive tract. Can anyone suggest anything for the weakness?
Boy oh boy, what a moan. My luck this year has just stunk, but it will all work out. They say a woman is like a teabag, you don't know how strong she is till she is dunked in hot water!! We have all learned a whole lot about ourselves throughout this experience, I'll warrent!
Hoping you all have a fun and restful weekend and are lookinng to seeing John and Edward slaughter another routine this evening. I laughed myself sick last Sat!
Hugs
Annie
Oh Sheila
So sorry to hear your not too good at mo, you'll get there
Thinking of you

Hi girls - just been having rotten time. Went into hospital as an emergency last Tuesday, DAY OF MY 60TH,I had a lot of fluid in abdomen, lungs etc so they had to drain it off. Was in till Friday evening - they got over 6 litres out. Just felt so ill. Missed my family night out on birthday but was determined to go to my night out on Saturday. Felt really awful but went for a short time.
Everyne so sorry I couldn't stay. Slept most of Sunday then chemo on Monday. Feel as though i'm really low and they just pump me with this horrible stuff. Tired and sore from Neulasta and everything else that comes with Taxotere. Haven't been through all posts yet but will catch up soon.
Hope you're all doing OK
Love
Sheila
Hi girls
Met with surgeon today he said margins are all clear, he didn't see anything he didn't expect, the tumor was only 5.5cm which he was really surprised at (so was I) he said that all the tissue was affected and 2 lymph nodes were effected but all removed.
He is very happy the way things are going at moment, if he is happy so am I, onto oncologist now to see what happens next, surgeon said it's capsitabine(sorry if not spelled correctly) and herceptin until they can get the Lapatinib.
Onwards and upwards
hugs to all
xxxxxxx
Hi Maggie
Sorry I missed you today, but my rads were delayed by an hour so i needed to head off as soon as it had finished, maybe we can meet up next time you are at the Beatson.
Take care all
Helen
Helen...was sorry to have missed you today..my chemo has been cancelled coz of infection..but Fiona was so good and made me realise that another week..I will be as fit as a fiddle..I think we would all have had a laugh if we could have had the time to sit and have a coffee...maybe next time .xxxxx
Hi Fiona
I go in at the main reception level and take the lift down to rads, although I haven't quite worked out the lifts and what 0 I need to press. I keep getting down to floor 0, but the wrong side of the lift opens and I have to go back to level 1 and start again!!
See you tomorrow
Helen
Hi Helen,
Not sure what the floor number is but it's upstairs from Radiotherapy..(there's a main reception, they will point you in the direction of area 2)
do you go in on the same floor as radiotherapy? or do you go in and then go down to radiotherapy?... there's two entrances you see.. very confusing!!!
Fiona xxx
Doooh! meant to say 'What floor is your clinic waiting area 2 on'
Hi Fiona
What line is the clinic on? I'll txt you when I arrive and hopefully will be able to find you.
See you tomorrow.
Helen
Hi Helen,
I'll be in the clinic waiting area 2 from about 10am...chemo nurse is hoping that I get seen sooner rather than later so that if I am getting my herceptin it can be ordered up and ready for my 1pm slot in the chemo suite...but we all know it won't happen like that and I'll still be there at tea time tomorrow!!!! ever the optamist me?!!
Text me anyway.. we'll find one another.. not sure what time Maggie's there, will go on FB and ask her..
Work went well, really enjoyed it and I was transported back to a time before all this rubbish happened.. working definately makes me feel more normal..just wish the body would hurry up and catch up!!
Love and hugs to everyone
Fiona xxxx
Fiona, hope you got on ok first day back at work, even the thought of going back to work scares me, well done you
Sheila, hope you got on ok with chemo
Helen, I didnt start getting a reaction to rads until the 3rd week, I have now lost all my skin under my armpit too!! its so itchy and sore
Sharon, hope you are ok and get fab results this week, you deserve some good news
hi to everyone else, cant believe how quickly its getting dark at nights now
Hubby has booked a villa for us in Lanzarote, so we can have a good chill out, im a bit nervous about going away but hopefully ill be fine when im there, we have friends that own a bar in Lanza so it will be great to catch up with them again, they stayed with us in May just before I was diagnosed

Hi Fiona
I hope everything went OK today at work - just take it easy. I will probably have to dash off after my zapping tomorrow to collect Seren from Nursery, as she's meant to finish at 1 but nursery are OK about keeping her until I get back. But I can heas through after dropping off the kids at school & nursery, so I can be through about 10:30, will you be able to meet up after seeing the onc - I'm happy to come and sit in your waiting room for a chat. What time is Maggie getting bloods?
Sheila - Just realised from Sheila's post that you are starting your chemo today - I hope it all goes OK and it doesn't 'hit you' too hard - take it easy.
Take care all
Helen
Hi Girls,
Looks like it's going to be a rubbish week with the weather!!
Back to work today, I'm looking forward to it( I think!!)I hope I don't get too tired as I've scaled things right down to settle in, but it's the tiredness that's hard to judge..fingers crossed anyway!!
Sheila, good luck for Today? with starting back on Chemo. I hope all goes well and that you managed to have a nice Birthday last week..you've been a very brave lady in coping with all the chemo's you've had to endure in the past..Hope the chemo does it's stuff quickly to shrink those tumors!!
Sharon, good to hear you're coming along nicely!! Is it this Wed/Thurs you see the Docs?
Helen, I take my Tamoxifen last thing at night with a Glass of water, This is supposed to minimise feeling any side effects due to being asleep.. I have been fine..terrible hot flushes and night sweats, but I had that on chemo and it just seems to be continuing on Tamoxifen..My hip joints ache when trying to stand up but I have started taking a cod liver oil capsules..apparently it's the lack of eostrogen in the joints..you sort of just get used to it, it's not too bad. Looking forward to catching up with you tomorrow, Maggie's there for bloods so maybe be able to hook up with her too. what treatment room are you in? Text me when you're finished.
Yvonne, would love to go to Maggie's on Friday but I have a couple of clients to do..Ask Kirsty for the chocolate and beetroot cake recipe..she gives out copies.. delicious!!!
Annie, You are doing so good!! you have come a long way and have suffered the side effects like a proper trooper!! Nearly there now, keep you're wee chin up.. Rads are fine.. you'll sail through that compared to TAX..
well Girls, better shake a tail feather!! or there'll be no hair getting done today!!!
Lots of Hugs
Fiona xxx
Hi All
Well, I've survived my first 3 fryings!!! My skin seems to be OK so far, in fact my scar seems so much fainter and smoother. Its taking an hr door to door to get to the Beatson, so I think I'm now getting into commuter mode, as by Friday I had the radio blasting as I drove along.
I start Tamoxifan on Tuesday - when is the best time of day to take it to minimise SE's???
Anne - you seem to be having such a hard time at the momment, how many more chemos have you got?
Yvonne - not long to go now till you finish your chemo - it's such a huge relief to get it over with.
Carol - How long did it take before your skin started to suffer from the rads?
Fiona - sorry to hear about Ciaran's split. Are you making the most of your last weekend before starting work?
Sharon - How are you coping, I hope you have lots of people looking after you?
Sheila - are you doing anything nice this weekend?
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Take care all
Helen
Hi Annie, nice to have you back, you are getting there.
Sharon, how is your weekend going, when do you get your results
Helen, how are you after first week of rads, I am shedding skin for Scotland just now!!!
Fiona, good luck going back to work, even the thought of it bloody scares me
Yvonne, enjoy your weekend away.
Sheila, hope you had a great birthday
everyone else, hope you have a great weekend

Hi Guys
Back from being awol!
Sharon, so very good that you have had surgery are home and are fighting fit. You have some constitution girl. Is the next stage rads? Are you getting chemo too? Are you getting the drug that has to be specially dispensed? You might set a percedent.
Fee, you are you sure you are well enough to go back to work? It seems awfy soon!!! Will you be seeing all your old clients? Any news on working with Sandra?
SHIELA !!!! Happy birthday!!!! With ribbons (any colour but pink) on!!! I'm going off pink, for some subliminal reason. Mind you, did get pink spex in July, when I thought I would be frivilous. I am seeing Dr D on Thur to see if I am fit for final chemo. Are you free later? Mind you, I can't walk up a flight of stairs just now, so you would have to look out for the breathless auld wummin.
Carol, hope you had a great birthday. Any news on your wee lad's job? It's awful going through all this process and the time factors.
Here's hoping.
i am as weak as a semi drowned kitten just now, have had the worst time on TAX, unusually so. I think I started with an infection so wasn't up to it. Been sleeping much of the day. I had the dose reduced to 85% and the mouth has not been so bad this time, plus I had an ice lolly while being 'infused'.
Helen, i think the same. I am non functional just now. Can't do anything, ever firing up my laptop! If I get another TAX followed by too early by rads, I don't know how I will manage, living alone. That is one of the thing I will bring up with Dr D on Thurs. I mentioned the tiredness that rads can bring and I just cannot afford to be be non functionalal. Answer, 'wait and see'. I cannot walk to the bustop just now so I am not hopeful.
Och well, my feeling is the Oncs want to get you through chemo, if your necs are up to it, and my bloods are always up to it. I just hope it is worth it as these last 2 months have been awful.
There! So good to say it!
Hugs
Annie
Hi all
Sharon glad to hear all went well
Helen hope SE have cleared i start radioth on the 8th dec are you feeling tired on it.
No more visitors planned till next feb getting quiet in the house
so decided to go to sunny birmingham (england) on the 28th for long weekend.
Hope to go to Maggies next frid if anyone going ? still not got receipe for chocolate and beetroot cake anyone made it ? any good ?
Hope your all chillin
Yvonne
Hi Girls,
That's me back from my wee break which was very nice.. weather was lovely which made all the difference..Ciaran had split up with his girlfriend which was sad as they had been going out for 2 years and were just like child hood sweethearts.. oh well, what can you do?
Helen, you'll be an old hand at Rads this time next week!! hope you don't have any long waits..
Sheila, Happy Birthday... did you do something nice?
Sharon...onwards and upwards from now on!! you've done so well, hope your healing time is a lot better than the last one. It's great you haven't had much pain..
Carol, good for you booking a holiday! I'm sure you'll have a fab time, just what you need to recharge those batteries.
well I start back at work on Tuesday!! don't know how I feel about it all (Tired!!) I know it's going to take me a while to get into it and I'll just take it real easy to start with and take it from there. Not really looking forward to it!!
well the weather has turned out nice again today.. doing housework, Kids gone to Braehead....just chilling out!!
Hope everyone else is doing good..

Hi girls
I'm still doing well. Get wound checked tomorrow at Hairmyres.
Helen - I thought exactly the same when I started rads, maybe I'll see you there when I start, haven't got a date yet but know it will be ASAP.
Sheila - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
Carol - Well done for booking the holiday, you so deserve it and need it, I thoroughly recommend it.
Hope everyone else is good
Take care for now

Hi Girls
Well, thats me 2 frying down, 27 to go! Travelling hasn't been too bad - it's takes just over an hour to get there. I have to admit it was a bit of an anti-climax - When the radiotherapy is actually given I had imagined a big lazer beam coming out of the machine to zap you - like something out of Dr Who or Voyager!! Think I watch too much TV! Aren't the nurses all lovely.
Sharon - great to hear that you are home and doing OK. Keep takng it easy and accept all the help you can get.
Sheila - Happy Belated Birthday. I hope you were spoilt and had a lovely day.
Carol - Good for you booking a holiday.
Fiona - How was your break?
Maggie, Annie, Yvonne & Pauline - I hope you are all keeping well.
Take care all
Helen
welcome back Sharon, good to hear from you again, what a lovely neighbour you have.
well ive gone and done it booked a week in Lanzarote in November with hubby and the boys, hopefully the school will understand me taking them out, Ross has still not had a letter about his apprenticeship and I got fed up waiting, so hopefully if he gets it he wont start until we come home.
Cant believe how sore my boob is this week after finnishing radiotherapy, loads of shooting pains!!! under my arm is really burned now too.
Helen, how are you going with travelling to the Beatson
Fiona hope you had a lovely break
Sheila Happy Birthday
everyone else, hope you are ok
Maggie, hope you are ok, not been on for a while

Hi girls
I'm back, op went well not in much pain at all. Only thing I can't believe hospital only gave me 2 days worth of medication, I had to phone my doc who was horrified, she's making up a new prescription as we speak.
At my own home as needed the comfort of my own bed, plus i can move about and wash myself fine, I have the common sense to know what I can and can't do. One of my neighbours has been really great and cleaned all my flat while I was away and also came up today to clean, so I am not doing a thing apart from maybe putting food in microwave to heat.
Happy birthday carol and Sheila.
Helen you'll be fine on Rads, walk in park compared to Chemo.
Fiona - hope your enjoying your wee break
Thank you to Fiona, Pauline, Angela and Jo for the visit.
Off for a lie down
Sharon xxx
Hi Girls
Hope everyone is OK and taking it easy. Had my pre-verification appointment today and start my frying tomorrow. As I was lying still with 3 nurses buzzing round me I couldn't help thinking how lucky we are getting such good treatment - I know its crap we're having to go through this, but I can't fault any aspect of my treatment so far - well, apart from the SE's and the awful photo on file at the Beatson, got caught mid blink - Lol! I really think I could of done with an extra week beween chemo and starting rads, as I'm shattered even before starting it.
Sheila - Happy 1st birthday to Jessica and really great news you are going to be a gran again.
Carol - Hope you had a good weekend celebrating. Any news on your sons job?
Fiona - Hope you are having a good break away.
Sharon - How are you? I hope you're doing OK and are taking it easy. Are you staying at your mum's when you get out of hospital.
Maggie, Annie and Yvonne - I hope you are all taking it easy.
I'm at the Beatson 9:40 for the rest of this week and 12 all next week, if anyone is there around these times and wants to meet for a coffee - let me know.
Well, off to bed now otherwise I'll never get up in the morning - I guess the tiredness might improve if I went to bed early! Fell asleep on the settee with the lap=top on my knee several times last night, lost count of the number of times Jon told me to go to bed.
Hugs
Helen
Sheila, sorry about your news last week, take care. Congratulations on the news of becoming a gran again.
Helen, good luck with radiotherapy, bit of a drag when the kids are off school this week, it will fly in.
Yvonne, nice to see you back on again.
Sharon, good to hear you are in good spirits, hope you get home soon.
Everyone else, hope you all have a great week, I have got the delightful company of my boys, all they keep saying is what we doing, where are we going?? I really cant be bothered, still knacked after the radiotherapy

Hi girls - it's been such a lovely day. Have had a good weekend. It was Jessica's first birthday yesterday so had a wee party for her. She was so good. She loved the birthday cake and she got loads of pressies. My daughter in law told me she is pregnant. They already have Cameron whos 3. She had a miscarriage last year so a bit nervous She's had scan and everything seems to be ok.
Nice to get good news after my bad news last week.
So pleased Sharon has done so well. I have a card for her but don't know her surname or addresses - she'll probably be home soon so can't send to hospital. Could someone let me have it.
Take care everyone
Sheila
Hi Girls,
Yvonne, Pm'd you phone number and address for wigs..
ESA is employment support allowance. it's kind of governmet sick pay. based on national insurance conts I get £64pw. it used to be called incapacity benefit...they renamed it and made it more confusing! half the staff don't know how it works..
Sharon Looked great today, and she said she felt really good... no pain!! Joanne was there also and really nice to finally meet her, and her 2 daughters are georgous!!
well off to Liverpool tomorrow to my brothers, looking forward to the wee break, back wed...
lots of love

Hi Girls
I just thought I would let you know that I went in to see Sharon, shes doing really well, was happy and not in too much pain. she hopes to be out on Monday or Tuesday. Shes got a private room with her computer and will be square eyed by the time she gets out after watching loads of films that her friends have supplied.
I hope everyones doing well.
Angela
Fiona could you send or post sharon(hairdresser) address and telephone number thanks
Helen i got nystan liquid for mouth ulcers it was really good, they told me to use difflam just if my throat was sore. Not that it will help you now but i got calcium folinate tablets to take 24 hrs after
chemo and i haven't had mouth ulcers since.
Congrats on finishing chemo same to you Carol no more rads and belated happy birthday.
Fiona say hi to Sharon, what is sharons surname so i can send a card?
What is ESA?
Sheila happy birthday on Tuesday have a good night out but watch out

Hi Carol
Well done for finishing your rads - you've done great. I think you deserve something stronger than a cp of Tea!
Have a good celebratin this weekend.
Helen
well thats me cooked, even fried in certain places, cant believe its all over, very strange feeling walking out of the Beatson today.
Fiona totally agree with you about going for a medical, my full pay stops next month but plan to go back at the start of the year so dont know if its even worth applying for it.
Helen, you will be fine next week with rads, worst part is the journey to get there.
thanks for the birthday wishes, hi to everyone else, im of to celebrate with a nice cup of tea!!!
thanks for all you support over the last few months, couldnt have done it without you, so glad I found this forum
love n hugs
Carol xoxo
Hi Fiona
I agree with you - it's totally crap that we need to have a medical interview to keep getting ESA. They rang me last week saying the first appointment I could get was next week, but as I've got rads for the next 6 weeks they've agreed to postpone until beginning on December - which is crazy as I plan to go back to work in January.
Still to get back to FB. Hey - I think we should all have a big night out to celebrate all our 40th's and getting through all this.
Have a great weekend everone.
Helen
Morning Girls,
Not so nice weather wise today is it?
Congratulations Carol on finishing Rads, Great to get that out the way isn't it? now you can relax a bit. Have you booked that holiday yet? Hope you have a nice day celebrating..
Helen, Sorry to hear the mouth has errupted!!! Cooled boiled salt water is fab for soothing it and keeping it clean..I swooshed with that before and after I ate..Difflam was good for numbing it just so as I could chew!!! Did you get facebook sorted yet? Pauline is the other fab 40 babe at the begining of the year!! so it's going to be a busy old time!!
I'm hopefully off to see Sharon Tomorrow with Pauline so will pass on all your good wishes.
I'm going down to visit my brother next week on Sunday so looking forward to a wee break. I haven't been anywhere since treatment started, feels like forever!! I'll meet up with you Helen once I'm back.
I'm attempting to go back to work when the kids go back to school, not sure how I feel about it.. confidence not quite what it used to be, but I'm sure I'll be fine. I got a letter "inviting" me to a medical for my ESA after filling out the questionaire which is supposed to determine wether I need a medical in the first place? which feels a total waist of time, it's as if they don't believe me and there are lots of Docs, Oncs and physiotherapist phone numbers supplied by me..well I'm going back to work!! so they can whistle dixxy!! I hate feeling pressured by all these organisations, just to get a measly £80pw....(sorry, moan over!!!)
well meeting pal for lunch today as kids off doing their own thing..
lots of love and best wishes to all

Hi All
Hope everyone is OK today. Well, I’m finally suffering SE’s from my chemo, I guess it serves me right for telling everyone how well I’d done managing to avoid a sore mouth and ulcers throughout my chemo - bummer!. The sides and end of my tongue are all ulcerated and the doctor also thinks have a touch of thrush on my tongue, I can’t believe how sore my mouth is – I’ve had to use my diflam for the first time!. Fiona I have no idea how you managed to cope when you had all your mouth ulcers.
Carol – Happy Birthday, I hope you have had a lovely day. Good Luck tomorrow, your rads just seem to have flown by, how many weeks did you have? You have definitely have loads to celebrate this weekend.
Fiona – Apart from you and me who else is hitting 40 next year?. Tell Sharon I was asking for her, she’s just so brave.
Annie – I hope we manage to meet up on my last / your first week of rads, I’ll have to check my times.
Sheila – Are you exhausted after having Jessica to stay. Fiona is so lucky to have you so close. What a great doctor you have agreeing to delay your treatment until after your night out. The breast light is like a large digital thermometer, with 3 red lights at the head. You have to use it in a dark room and it illuminates your breast, anything suspicious is meant to show as a dark area, it’s really weird seeing your boobs glowing bright red!. I just needed to buy one for reassurance.
Well, off to help John with the ironing.
Lots of Hugs
Helen
