Hi Belinda I had weekly taxol 2012 with the same regime as you but also had steroids at home for 3 days after treatment, I only got to 12 treatments out of 18 then was stopped due to severe side effects not due to just taxol I had other complications but scan showed that the taxol was working so I truly hope you have the same success with it. I went on to have cyber knife which kept me stable for a year and am now on capecitabine which at last scan was stable after 11 cycles so continuing.please let us know how you get on Love Macie xx
Only if anyone sees this, or has a minute to answer, I start the chemo later this week and at the moment I understand I have pre chemo infusion of steroids, anti sickness, piriton. Then chemo and anti sickness meds to take home but no further steroids, anyone the same? Thank you. X
I had good results after the first 3 cycles. Have been told I can be on it indefinitely as long as it keeps working. I hope it works well for you too Liz and Belinda xxx
I'm on it. Have had 4 cycles so far - 3 weeks on, 1 week off. Also having fortnightly avastin (get it while you still can 😞). I've found it pretty god although I'm ready for the week off when it comes around. Several side effects but none of them dreadful, and couldn't say they are all down to the taxol. xxx

I am on weekly tax. I have had 4 so far. It is really ok. I had a few blips at the beginning with low blood count and had a break of nearly 10 days but that was just me ! And a c@@k up with an appointment at hospital . They give me steroids for the fist few days and sleep is not good but I catch up in the day when I can. Sickness and nausea is a prob for me but they have given me a different drug and feel much better. Let me know if you need names of drugs or any other help.
