Hi ladies, i have recently started a trial for secondary BC being lung mets and they started me on Carboplatin, anyone out there on this as well that can give me some tips on the way it makes you feel ie whats normal on it and whats not.

Hi Sue, I’m on Carboplatin with Gemcitabine. I’ve only had one dose and found it pretty rough tbh, very nauseous, terrible sore mouth but onc says this is unusual on this regime. Also, twice now had second dose cancelled because of low white cell counts, trying again on Tues. of course, no idea how much Carboplatin to blame - could be the other one! On the up side - you don’t lose your hair 
Hi Sue, I saw my Onc today. This is my 3rd Diagnosis of Breast Cancer and my 3rd lot of chemo. He has suggested Carboplatin and Taxol by 6. In 2002 I had AC by 6 and in 2007 I had Taxotere by 4. Mine is Triple Negative and I carry the BRCA 1 gene.
