Eejits debbie! Dont trust a GP! Took me 3 attempts for my lump to be taken seriously~! poor old toe. give it 3-4 days and hopfully youll see an improvement!
Suz well done!!! Radio not too far away. Cons said i will start mine 4-5 weeks after last chemo which is 15 OCTOBER!! YEAH YEAH! They dropped the last 2 as cons did not feel they were needed! Fab.
Denise hope SE going now.
Both my babies been ill and Evie has a nasty cough which is keeping her ( and me) up!. Argghhh
Take care ladies
S
Toegate part II - still unhappy with the said digit so got an appt for this afternoon - the surgery have had the results of the swab for 6 DAYS and its as I thought - a really nasty infection and I am now on strong strong anitbiotics which make you feel sick - they are worried it will get into the bone and GP seemed a bit sheepish! If I hadn't taken myself back I don't think they would have followed it up - really cheesed off. Anyway, rant over, hope you girlies are all ok xdebbiex
Thanks Debbie!!
Radiotherapy planning appointment this Friday & then that starts on Mon 5 Oct every day for 3 weeks, then gonna have a holiday abroad in November!! Got to also starting taking Tamoxifen on 5 Oct too which i think you have started taking, so hope you're getting on okay with that.
Not sure when seeing ONC again but probably after Rads i should think.
Have a good day and hope both Sue and Denise are okay too.
Luv Suz xx
Well done Suz, even the se's wont burst your bubble - what happens next for you?? I dont go back to see Onc until November - is it a similar case for you, enjoy the end of chemo xx debbie xx
Happy Happy Happy!!!!!! Chemo all over for me!!
Luv to you all Suz xxx
By the way Suz glad you have your last one on monday - cant wait to get there too!!!
denise x
Sue sorry you sound so peed off. When i asked my onc about 8 versus 6 he said he felt that if 6 was sufficient then he saw no reason to give eight it ws after all toxic stuff. He is dr B - and i had node iinvolvement where you had clear nodes.
i hope you sort it so your'e happy with the answer - well reasonabley this doesnt exactly make any of us happy... GOOD LUCK X
Denise x
Denise that doesnt sound too too bad? I normally take a lot of tablets for 4 days then back off slowly.
I see ONC on tuesday. She always said it would be 8 if i was tolerating and coping well which i am now not coping!
Chemo 4 has nearly killed me to be fair and made me so unhappy that i know i can not do another 4 regardless of all the trying to be positive c**p! Need to be a realist here and i cant sacrifice my present for the future. Its too hard with my babies. I will ask her what she thinks but if i am honest even if she said 8 would improve my prognosis by a few percent i dont think i could do it... overall chemo has only improved by prognosis by 6% so i cant see why 8 cycles would extend that figure.phew.
I hate dealing with all this. My chocolate intake is sky high!
Got party to go tonight and hubbie baby sitting! poor man.
Have good weekend ladies where possible.

XX
Hi girls
I am ok at teh moment but my typingis pooh so forgive!!
Was feeling very sick last night and they threw every thing they possibly could in the way of anti sickness at me, but still recycled my supper at 1.30pm in the morning. But felt better after that and slept all day mamanged to pull of Harrys birthday with much help.
TAking so many drugs I rattle.
Did you put your foot down Sue are you haveing 6 instead of 8 . x
Hows the Tamoxifen Debs
Denise x
thanks suz and debbie..makes me feel hopful for number 5!!

Have got girls into a creche so i can rest/tidy my house a bit more!! 5hrs a week- £170 a month would you believe!!!
Mum is excellent but two babies are hard work at 32 never mind 65.Girls seemed ok. Think i am more upset by it!!!
Have good weekend.
Would like my feet to heel up as mr right is manky!!
S
Hi Ladies,
Don't even got there with toegate!!! My mum came round yesterday and stood on my toe by mistake and OMG i nearly lost the nail!! But think over night it managed to re-attached itself to the nail bed - weird, but its still hanging on!! I need to keep it till 27th Sept as thats my wedding anniversary and we're going out for a posh meal. I have a lovely dress to wear but need to wear sandels with it and have lovely painted toe nails!! So i can't loose it yet!! Think may have to get some super glue just in case!
Glad your first one was okay Denise and Sue i found the fourth one the worst, five was so much easier. Sixth and LAST ONE for me on Monday - Yippee!!
Hope you're okay Debbie and work not too tough?
Hope you all have a good weekend - think i'm off to the pub tonight for a nice glass of red - well i'm sure it would be if i could taste it!!
Lol Suz xx
Ahhh toegate. My right foot is so manky! Sores and athlethes foot everywhere! Lefty is fine! go figure. hows tamoxifen?
Denise a huge milestone! Take all the drugs regularily- even though the night too. Wake yourself up ( my bladder wakes me at midnight!!) and take you anti sickness as if they wear off while you sleep you may wake being ill then its hard to keep the tablets down..just what i did.
lots love ladies
S
well done Denise - was it a bit better than expected, the acutual procedure?? Dont want to rain on your parade but I always felt the SE's by the Saturday so standby - you do still function tho xx
Sue, i found no 4 worse than the last one funnily enough - try massaging the arm from top down it seems to revitalise the veins a bit. Sorry you are going thru it.
Toegate - still orrible but not worse, just not better, think it needs dipping in the North Sea! Doing ok at work, just a little tired - got in this afternoon, sat down with newspaper and cup of tea and dropped off while reading it ! Full of beans now tho xx
Hi all - thank you for all yout nice wishes - well one down 5 to go!! Ok at the moment but I am thinking it takes a whle for the s/e s to kick in. I have so many anti emetics it will be a crime if i vomit!!!
Hope you are all feeling ok - Sue number 4 sounds like a mare.
And that manky toes are healing girls - off to put my feet up and have a cup of tea.
Denise x
Debbie- hows the toe?any better.is work ok?
Denise- is it chemo tomorrow? good good good luck if so.
Number 4 has sucked big time. Aching, heart palpatations, tiredness and a sore vein that went black and swollen so took myself to the unit where they said "it happens, keep it warm!" God it was sore. Looks ok now tho. Got sore lymph arm too so bit of a mess!
Feel normal today which is fab. Only lasts few days really but it bugs me!
Suz how are you??
S
Hey Denise, will be thinkin of you tomorrow- loads of positive vibes and thoughts coming your way - please let us know how you get on, lotsa love xdebbiex
I was just painting my toenails this morning and thinking oh well at least they will look the same - they do look vey good nice bright pink and now they might fall off too! humph! so am consoling myself with the x factor and a glass of red. Hope your toes are getting better! Have discovered that I can make my chest look level if i sit on the skwiff. Does make me lokk ever so slightly simple though!!!
Denise x
Hello all - the toenail is very orrible and its in salt water as I type - hope it doesn't come off ! Yuk ! not good with feet. Only been on Tamoxifen 5 days so no S/e's to report so far - will let you know Suz. I have got some false eyelashes but cant get them to stick so have given up ! Denise, glad you have 2 the same size just got to get both of em in the right place now! Really feel for you. Are you nearly done on the chemo Suz?? it must be getting close. Hope u r coping ok sue, u are doing great - will be thinking of you next week Denise, let us know how the first one goes wont you xx
Hi Ladies,
Hope you're all okay and managing the s/e?
Debbie - hope your toe is getting better - i've had the same problems with mine - all weepy and gunky and docs gave me some cream to put on it, but think the nail is about to fall off as it has lifted from the toe!! Have you lost the nail yet? Have you any mores/e from the tamoxifen? I've got to start taking it after my last chemo so hoping it doesn't effect you too much - have you got to take it for 5 years?
Sue - all my lashes have gone too and don't know about you but my eyes water continusouly without lashes and its doing my head i ent and got some false lashes yesterday from Mac at Jarrolds and they put them on for me and i then felt fab!! Funny how such Asmall thing can make such a big difference. Think they were about £8.50 and will be able to wear them about 6 or 7 times so didn't think that was bad value - will have a go tomorrow putting them on myself!
Hope you're getting on okay Denise.
Suz x
Glad you are both ok ish!
Second inflation today - now have two the same size but one is up near my collarbone and I look like Jordan but in the scheme of things means at least no stick ons. Not painful to have done but hurts like hell after - popping the codeine tonight and grumpy grumpy! Reaaly impressed that you were up to the city today Sue - did school shoe shopping today oh how I hate it I'm sure I now have the skills to become a hostage negotiator. Surgeon said today that I can go back in the spring to have permanent implant or have tummy tuck and tissue implant - much sooner that I thought I thought I would have to wait at least till 2011 so I am hibernating for the winter and will re-emerge in spring I have decided!!
Have a good weekend
Denise x
im doing fine. rough ish night with nausea and weeing every two hours due to all the fluids but feel fine today, been into the city to get gracie photographed as part of a package deak she was bought when she was born! its cost us a bloody fortune! get one large 10 x 12 free but they dont stop there oh no they take loads and then they are £30 a pop!! arrggghh. got out wioth two today with 10% discount so not too bad! got some truly lovely ones of evie wqhich is great as toddlers dont normall smile or stay still!
quite weekend planned. shame about nails debbie! mine seem ok. got horrible atheletes foot thats abnout all with me. loosing eyelashes now but getting hair back on my head! also parts of eyebrows growing back yet the ends have fallen out! why?!?!
denise i do love hedgehogs!
S
Hiya all, hope the hedgehog rallies bless.... got home from work yesterday and promptly fell asleep - got poked awake by Joe about 6.30 telling me he was hungry! Also noticed this morning I have a yucky infected big toe - went into chemist and pharmacist said I need antibiotics particularly because of the recent chemo - raced to GP managed to get in they just swabbed it and thought I could do without the meds, guess its just another thing to get on with - all my finger nails are ridged still so it does affect the nails too. It really isnt much in the scheme of things eh? Hope you all have a good weekend - how u doing Sue??
Hi all ok here hope you are both good too. Have just rescued a baby hedgehog from the garden and taken it to hedgehog rescue centre as not well. Son has called it Micheal after MJ - fear they may be interred on the same day as it did look very poorly. he is very excited as he can visit anytime - we just have to ring first - I think so that Zoe the hedgehog can be renamed Micheal! Ahhh
denise x
All done. Had trouble with veins so it was put in the underside of my wrist which really hurt! Feel the same as usual so far. Sleep it off i guess!
Back to FT huh debbie? I would need a serious lunchtime nap!
hope alls well denise and suz
X
Hiya, Sue - no 4 all done and dusted for you eh? Hope you feel ok x
Hello girls, hope all ok - Sue, good luck for tomorrow - hope the blast goes well for you - its a great feeling knowing I will not be joining you and remember that will also be the case for you soon (you too Suz)- just got to get Denise thru her lot and we will all be chemo free. Started Tamoxifen yesterday - got a horrendous headache in the afternoon but they may have happened anyway - sure it cant affect me soooo quickly! The SE's can be severe so I am hoping I cope ok with it. Cannot believe how quickly the hols have gone - back to work F/T tomorrow but looking forward to it cos it means all is ok! Prob fall asleep at my desk about 2pm LOL . speak soon, Debbie x
Wow that must be one helluva set of lashes!!!
Stick on falsies for me then - story of my life at the moment!!!
Have a great weekend!
x
Denise called Aroma in wym and they said the faek lashes attach to your own so if they are falling out so will the extensions! also £70 a pop altho last 3mths. may treat myself after mine grow back when all this rubbish is done.
Number 4 thursday- i cant believe it either. Hoping to only have 6 so will be over half way!Seeing ONC 15/09 to grill her over 8 cycles!

Hi all
Debbie have sent you a pm with name. We are off out for a lovely meal tonight and am going to pu t everything about bc to the back of mind as my lovely daughter got 11 A-C GCSEs today!! Bless am very proud momo (which is what my kids call me!!)
Sue hope you and kids are all ok when is your next zap?
Love to all
Denise x
Hi girls, thanks for being my friend Sue ! Denise I take it your surname is same as shop?? Dont mention it on here, (got a pm from site administrators who took mine off my last post for safety reasons) but I couldnt find you denise - you will have to send me a pm with your FBook user name ! Hope everyone still ok, got my head round the Tamoxifen article - I am going ahead, its been used for over 20 years I believe and saved many lives so will take my chances with it I reckon. Have a good day all, xx
Got five years of tamoxifen! What a big ball ache. Any SE yet debbie?? done your friend request! my FB is full of my kids not many pics of me!!
X
Hi girls I am on facebook too - will try n find you both and we can see photos before the BC !! I've had a funny day - read an article that said Tamoxifen increases the risk of an aggressive cancer forming in other breast by 400% (U.S. doctor) then says 1000's of lives saved by the drug so keep on with it - sent me into a spin as I start taking it on Tuesday. Going to give it some more thought and research over next couple of days. Are you due to have any drug after chemo Sue ?? Have seen the young girls who sit with the life guards Denise - will take more notice of em now!! Goiing on FBook now so look out for friend request - take care, Debbie x
Denise i hated the clinic and hated the Big C centre as i didnt feel i belonged at all. Cant say feelins have changed at all!! going for my wig fitting was a trauma best not repeated.
They give you steroids as part of your chemo treatment IV and an anti sickness. Well they dowith FEC!
Take it all!!! i have 2 diff types of anti sickness and they work fabbo.
Take care guys!
Am on facebook Sue Leach
X
Hi all
debbie I saw Dr B - think that tax is newer chemodrug that trialed in the US and produced slightly better results but the trials over here are inconclusive so he said. Apparently one of the se of tax is very bad bone ache so wonder if thats why they changed yours?
I have some drugs for before chemo but dont know if they are anti sickness - lorazepam - said they were stronger than diazapam I was taking now - I think they might just be to get me there! As I went through to the day unit there was a young guy having chemo and I swear i nearly threw up there and then - my head was going 'leave now you are in the wrong place' and I nearly burst into tears at recception. Do you get anti sickness drugs when you go for the first chemo? no mention of steroids either? Honestly left feeling very confused - will ring BCN tomorrow i think, she is on speed dial!! But hey by my reckoning by Christmas the chemo should be over so start a new year and all that. By the way if you are all at Mundesley beach you have probably seen my eldest she spends most of her time there looking at the lifeguard who is apparently mighty fine (her words!!) surfing and eating the all day breakfast in the cafe, will have to upload some pictures but am also on face book if you all are?
Denise x
Hi all, Denise is Dr E your ONC? I dont think that is on him telling you to choose which regime of Chemo you have - talk to your BC nurse and tell her your concerns - you can get a diff ONC to talk it thru you know if you are not happy - Dr Harnett is supposed to be the best - how on earth do you decide - just to let you know I was due 3 FEC then 3 Tax but when they found the bone mets it was changed to 6 FEC - I didnt query it, as you dont, because you think they know best. When I did have concerns my BC nurse was brilliant and got it all sorted for me, so if you are not happy, take it further. Do give the cold cap a go, I found it very doable - as you know it didnt work for me but it does for some women so dont be put off. Hope you get some clearer info - let us know eh. lots of love, debbie x p.s I also played spot the wig in the waiting room - it was the older ladies that usually had that "skew wiff" look about them! I think the ones supplied by the NHS are pretty good - I get loads of good comments - but I just dont believe people!
Denise i find the ONC a strange breed. Mine is obsessed by killing oestrogen at all costs! think she would def like me to have a complete removal of everything female just in case! She is german and a bit scary to be fair. Liver cysts can be hormonal. Dont know any other causes!Maternity my thing.
Debbie hope to meet up soon? Glad brows coming bacjk. ive lost half of each one! evens it up!
Suz good only one left!! i want that so badly!
take care ladies
Hi all
glad you not too bad - and everyone ticking off the chemos. First one is 10th Sept - day before Harrys birthday and I tried to change it and they were just plain bloody awkward so I kept it. So now arranging early birthday party. Onc was very factual so feel like poo as he told me the queries re my liver were cysts and no spread - I didnt even know I had sodding lesions. They told me they were clear!!Asked about cold cap and he said well try it if you like - all really positive stuff - so then said I could have 6 fec or 3 fec and then 3 tax it was up to me really - well obviously being such a knowledge in the world of feccing chemo I made an informed decision!
He said just give in to chemo, feel the tiredness and lose the hair, wigs are so good he cant tell when his ladies go in. Well cue spot the wig in the waiting room umm. So have bought hats today but will try cap and see.
was going to have a lovely glass of wine later but now have liver to be concerned about mght just have a cup of tea and google what causes cysts. By the way Sue got some lovely strong codeine and pain soon went!!Waiting for next blow up - feel like an inflatable!
Love Denise x
Nice on Suz, its a fantastic goal to reach, well done. Hope the SE's are ok as the week goes on. Take Care, Debbie x
Hi all,
Chemo & Herceptin went fie yesterday apart from had to wait ages up there but never mind. One more chemo to go - yippee!!
Suz xx
Hi all, wishing you loads of luck for today's treatments Suz - antoher one ticked off - I might take all my mirrors down! I am jsut starting to get a few brows coming thru so it doesnt take long - still nothing on top tho hey ho xdebbiex
Hi All,
Oh don't talk about putting on weight and loosing eyelashs and brows - the whole thing just sucks!!
I've put on on stone so thinking about joining weightwaters as tyring to loose weight myself just isn't working - height being fat - all the sumer clothes i had last year don't fit!!
|And as for the eyelashs i've got a about 3 left on each eye so am using the liner form the Look Good session and also starting to pencil my brows to - which is fine till i forget and rub my brow and end up looking like a clown! My eyes water so much as well & am sure this is down to having no lashes left. Nexct time i'm in the city going to see about false eyelashs as i have some parties coming up ad just want to look normal!!
Chemo 5 & Herceptin 2 today, so hoping its a 100 times better than chemo 4 - everyone says the 4th one is the worse and am hoping so as i felt crap for 2 weeks after it last time.
Hope you're all okay apart from the same problems as me - ie the weight and loss of eye lashes/brows!
Lol Suz x
Sue have sent you a message with all my details x
okey dokey. Am free tues or friday normally!
Had a grumpy day today again! Not helped by going back to slimming world as ive put on 12 pounds!! 12 pounds of misery has got to go! Its bad enough having cancer and being bald without being chunky!!! Arrghhh
hope everyone having good weekend
How about a day next week - will check weather over weekend and we can sort a day out if you fancy it. I am guessing you drive, if not I can always pick you up at the station - speak later x debbie x Can send a PM with all my details once we sort it x
oooo debs nice offer. eve obsessed with beach!! when and where?!
xx
hi girls, Denise you rant away - it helps to unload as its such a rotten path we are on so dont you worry. I too feel guilty when I yell at Joe, he is such a lazy sod sometimes but he is only 10 and it must be hard for him too to have a fat bald mum LOL - Sue any time you fancy a trip up this way give me a shout - we could have time on the beach with the kids - Joe is v good with little ones! We pack a picnic and it works out a good cheap day - the beach hut is full of buckets spades, shoes, surf boards etc so you only have to bring yourselves!! Keep it in mind before the kids (and me) go back to school. Hope you feel better soon Denise - time is the key, it does improve xx lots of love to ya all Debbiex
i am grumpy too. REally shouted at girls as they were both whining and whining as they are tired with the heat! Felt a bad mummy but it did feel good to release the roar!!! Lost half and eyebrow over night and keep moaning about 8 cycles...god seems sucha long time. I want to go back to work asap. I miss delivering babies!
Debbie- would love a beach hut! how cool!
Denise- moan away. it does you good. you probe need something codeine based and maybe a good anti inflammatory like Voltarol.
